Ans1) I devote more time on online streaming instead of traditional TV. Over the passing of
time, trends have evolved. Latest Nielsen data shows that both online and digital streaming
are growing. Furthermore, individuals want to see how people talk. The Emmy House of
Cards nominations by Netflix etc. brought the viewer a stronger pleasure in viewing these
shows. The needs of watching change in some other ways. In one sitting beside better
program, I want to be able to watch many show episodes. Besides improved quality and
increased range, I want to be able to see many show episodes in one sitting. For the next
show, customers called "binge watching" prefer not to wait a week. In the watching change,
Netflix noticed this change and decided not weekly episodes but to release all their shows as
entire seasons. I prefer traditional TV to Netflix because it helps me to pick what to watch.

Q2) How might consumers use heuristics when choosing television shows to watch on
Netflix?
Ans2) Heuristics means to discover something. It is an approach to problem solving that
takes one’s personal experience into account.

Based on the following factors, consumers may decide on which television shows to watch
1) Genre: Consumers have the option of browising through different categoties or genres
and select the preffered show according to their taste and likings. For example, kids
can look in the animated genre and adults can look into horror or thriller. This
narrows down the shoes and divides it for the consumer which makes Netflix user
friendly.
2) Popularity Ratings: this refers to the shows which are shown on the home page. The
higher the rating the more likely that the consumer would choose to watch that
television show. For example, Ertrugrul is seen by so many people that it is shown on
almost every user’s home page.
3) Netflix “recommender” system: suggests shows to consumer based solely on collation
of billions of consumer ratings. If the consumer is unsure or indecisive, Netflix can
help decide on what to watch.
