How to View Visit History in Apple Maps and Google Maps

You can view the history of location tracking via Apple Maps, so that you can review the history of
your visits and the places you have been to during a period time specified by you. This feature relies on
continually activating the GPS sensor and allowing map applications to access and monitor it at all times.
This means giving apps like Google Maps and Apple Maps access to your location, without even launching
the app. This feature raises concerns and doubts for those interested in privacy and its protection, as
companies can sell this data to advertisers to increase access to the right users. But such a feature is useful in
monitoring your children and keeping track of their paths where ever they go, where you can access the
history of Google and Apple Maps to know the places the child has visited.

Access to Apple Maps history

You must activate the feature of recording important places via the GPS settings on your phone,
and then you can view the history of your visits.

In order to do this, you must do the following:


1. At first, head to your phone's settings, then choose privacy settings, and choose location
services.
2. Search in this list until you find the choice of system services, and then click on the list of
places of interest.
3. When you enter the important places options, you need to activate the feature. Then, you
will find all the important places that you have visited and recorded by the phone listed
below in a list called history.
4. If you click on one of these places, the application shows you this place on the map and
also shows the places near it.

To Access the History of Visits Via Google Maps

Google Maps records your entire itinerary, not just places of interest or you frequently visit.
It can track you and save your itinerary even if you're using an iPhone, but you must have the app
installed. You must allow the app to access GPS services even if it's running in the background, so
make sure these options are enabled first so you can view the history via Google Maps. However,
you can't access it via the app on the phone. All the places you've visited are highlighted in red on
the map, so it's easy to keep track of your visits in these places. Also, you can specify the time of the
visits you want to view, as you can view the visits from a year ago or more as you prefer.
