How to make a payment
to a PayID.
Step 1.
Open the Westpac App on your
phone and tap ‘Sign in to banking’.
Step 2.
Tap the ‘Pay’ icon located on the
bottom menu.

Under ‘From’, tap ‘Choose
an account’.
Step 4.
Tap the bank account you want to
make a payment from.

Step 5.
Enter a description you want to see
on your statement.
Step 6.
Under ‘To’, tap ‘Choose a payee or
biller’ to make a payment to.

Step 7.
To add a new PayID payee, tap the
‘Add’ icon on the top menu bar.
Step 8.
Tap ‘New PayID/Mobile payee’.

Step 9.
Tap PayID for the payee and fill in
the requested fields.
Payments can be made to
the following types of PayID:
mobile number, email address,
ABN (which includes ACN,
ARBN and ARSN), phone
number and Organisation ID.
Step 10.
Mobile number example:
Enter the mobile number or select
‘Add from my phone contacts’.
Tap ‘Continue’.

Step 11.
Check the Payee details and
PayID name.
To add this payee, click ‘Next’.
Step 12.
Enter a reference and/or
description of up to 280 characters
to be seen by the Payee.
Under ‘Payment details’, enter the
payment amount and date, then
click ‘Next’.

Step 13.
Review your payment details and
when you’re ready, tap ‘Confirm’.
Step 14.
A Westpac Protect SMS Code will
then be sent to your registered
mobile phone number. Enter the
SMS Code and tap ‘Next’.

Step 15.
Your PayID payment is now
complete. If you want to send
a copy of the receipt either tap
‘Email a receipt’ or ‘Quick share’.
