 Page number your answer sheets sequentially.

1. Draw the single line diagram of wiring system and lighting circuits
2. Explain about distribution board, MCB, ELCB & how to determine the rating of those boards

3. Drawing Hall of Engineering College 20 m x 10 m x 5 m is to be provided with electrical


connection for l i ghts, fans, and socket s et c. in condui t syst em of wi ri ng. You are requi red
t o do the fol l owi ng :
(a) Design and plan suitable electric installation of the
drawing hall and show the same on the plan.
(b) Decide the number of circuits.
(c) Draw detailed diagram of distribution board.
(d) Calculate the sizes of the wiring required Draw wiring
connection diagram from meter to main switch.
(e) Calculate the material required giving specification of each
item.

4. One hall is to be provided with PVC casing-capping wiring for the following provisions; size of
hall is 60 m x 30 m
(a) Power points, 10 nos, 1000 W. each.
(b) Light points, 30 nos, 60 W each.
(c) F an points , 15 nos , 60W each
(d) Plug points, 30 nos, 100 W each.
Supply is 3-phase, 415 V, 4-wire, 50 Hz ac. Draw the circuit layout up
