Tips
The total number of stitches you should have will be in parentheses at the end of each row.
ex: (20)
Translation: 20 stitches in the row

Any repeated actions within a row will also be in parentheses, alongside the number of times
that action will be taken in that row. ex: (2dc, inc) x 10
Translation: Two double crochets then increase on the third, repeat this 10 times

(Note: I use the term “double crochet,” but it is also called a “single crochet” in the US.)

Tools: 4.5mm crochet hook, large sewing needle, scissors


Wool: 1 x bulky brown yarn, stuffing to fill drumsticks, additional yarn for details

Using brown yarn and a 4.5mm hook:


DRUM 1. mc, 10sts (10)
STICKS 2. 10inc (20)
3. dc in each sts (20)
4. (dc, inc) x 10 (30)
5. dc in each sts (30)
6. (2dc, inc) x 10 (40)
7–10. dc in each sts (40)
11. (6dc, dec) x 5 (35)
12. dc in each sts (35)
13. (5dc, dec) x 5 (30)
14. dc in each sts (30)
15. (4dc, dec) x 5 (25)
16. dc in each sts (25)
17. (3dc, dec) x 5 (20)
18. dc in each sts (20)
19. (2dc, dec) x 5 (15)

Proceed to stuff the drumstick to desired size, filling it as you create and close off the pattern.
25. (2dc, inc) x 5 (20)

Slip stitch, leaving a long tail, and fill any remaining space. Sew all 5 stitches together,
closing off the figure and sewing the tail back into it.
Create 4–5 drumsticks to fill the bucket!
(Additionally, you can use the sewing needle and any extra yarn to add details to the work.
I’ve sewn a cute face on the drumsticks as well, but you can sew any sort of face you like.)
