Requirements of OCIMF SIRE 2.0 for the tankers and gas carriers

ABOUT THE COURSE OCIMF’s SIRE 2.0 program is a tool to help ship operators
measure and implement the requirements of the Oil majors and
improve the management systems . The Program encourages the
ships operators to assess their safety management system against
listed elements as required by SIRE 2.0 which will replace the vpiq
7.0 It is most effective way to solve problems. It creates opportunity
and optimizes performance in crucial areas such as Safety and
environmental excellence as required and expected by the Oil
majors. This course will enable to transfer the best practices across
the fleet through consistent applications and improved processes and
procedures and helps implementation of SIRE 2.0 approach to
Vetting Inspection and expectation in four categories

Capt . Ashwin Kumar Maniar has been in the Profession with a Tanker sailing background for
17 years and then settled ashore with the shore based job of Auditing and implementation of
SMS in the Maritime Industry for the last 27 years and he has worked with over 25 Tanker
companies in the preparation of manuals to implementation of the VIQ as well as TMSA
having knowledge of conventions can well interpret the requirements of the Tankers and
Tanker operations. Has been involved with the SIRE 2.0 since inception in 2021
