REFLECTION PAPER
College life is different that causes you doubt your abilities. Full load schedules and
quizzes that can drained your physical and mental health. Having the subject PATHFit makes
you feel like you’re in a place doing what you enjoy. Being in the school attending our class and
meeting my block mates brought a lot of fun. Our performance really a refresh of mind for me
and as a freshman. We took our performance preparation seriously and worked hard to give it
our all. From planning the steps and selecting the music to the execution, the group displayed
camaraderie, particularly among some members who were eager and willing to contribute to the
performance. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't surprised by the level of responsibility and
dependability displayed by some of my block mates, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't grateful to
have experienced it with them. I felt a lot of pressure on the day of our performance, and I was
worried that I would forget some of our steps, but I was thankful that I executed the steps
correctly and graciously. I am even more grateful that I am one of our group's two best dancers.
The lesson I learned to our performance is to set aside time for ourselves to exercise or
work out. I used to work out before the pandemic, but now that school has started, I don't have
time to work out because I'm too busy with schoolwork. It feels good to be back in my old
routine now that I have time to do things. It can help to boost my energy and to release stress. I
realized that I, or my body, needed to move more than just sit and stare at my laptop and
cellphone all day. It's fun to get tired while having fun but getting tired on its own is exhausting.
I'm experiencing mixed emotions as I write and type my reflection paper. I laughed, I was
nervous, I am overwhelmed, and finally, I am proud. This performance gives me more
confidence and allows me to feel what my body wants. I can now properly warm up and cool
down after exercise. I am now motivated to exercise on a daily basis or whenever I have free
time.
Aerobic Dance has an influence on us and our groupmates. It can build a connection and
turns to a relationship. It can also radiate energy and can make you feel lighter. It is indeed a lot
of fun and memorable experience with my block mates.
