COMMUNICATION SKILLS

AIM of Communication. Skills Unit

 To equip students with communication skills suitable for academic and career purposes. Ie helps
equip the student to process information and communicate effectively at school and the work
place.
 Impart knowledge, attitudes and skills for academic pursuit.

OBJECTIVES: By the end of the course, students should be able to:

 Communicate effectively for academic/career purposes.


 Apply basic communication skills ie use communication skills appropriately
 Demonstrate understanding of fundamentals of communication.
 Develop necessary skills for effective communication
 Use different forms and modes of communication in an organization
 Apply digital skills in communication
 Develop necessary writing skills for various documents
 Apply official etiquette, protocol and diplomacy in the work place
 Cope with emerging trends and issues in communication skills
