Порядок слов в специальный вопросах
Вопросительное слово + вспомогательный или модальный глагол + подлежащее +
сказуемое + ………?
Вспомогательные глаголы: to be, to do, to have, shall/ will
Examples:
Where does he live ( lives) ?
When did he come ( not came)?
Why is she crying?
When will he return?
How has he settled this problem?
Вопрос к подлежащему
Вопросительное слова (Who,What) + сказуемое + …..
Example:
My friend works at school – Who works at school? ( Who does work at school?)
Whose friend works at school?
Many friends came . – Who came? ( Who did come?)
How many friends? ( How many friends did come?)

The accident happened yesterday. – What happened yesterday?


(What did happen yesterday?)
Nobody knows English. – Who doesn’t know English?

Note : После вспомогательного глагола to do смысловой глагол не ставится .

Disjunctive question (Tag question)
Разделительные вопросы
Эти вопросы состоят из двух частей. Вторая часть состоит из вспомогательного или
модального глагола + личные местоимение и переводится как “не так ли не”, “правда ли”
Example:
Ann works at school, doesn’t she?
Ann worked at school, didn’t she?
Children play in the yard, don’t they?
Ann is at work, isn’t she?
Ann was at home, wasn’t she?
Jack will come, won’t he?
Jack can draw, can’t he?
Jack has many friends, doesn’t he?
Jack has to work, doesn’t he?
Jack has passed exam, has he?
Let’s go to the cinema, shall we?
Open the window, will you?
Don’t be late, will you?
Everybody was there, weren’t they?
Nothing is left, is it?
Something is wrong, isn’t it?
Nobody knows it, do they?

Exclamatory sentences ( Восклицательные предложение)


What + a, an + прилагательное + существительное + подлежащее + сказуемое + ….
После what артикль the и наречие не ставится.
Example:
What an interesting book it is!
What interesting books they are!
What clever children Jane has!

How + прилагательное или наречие + the + подлежащее + сказуемое + ….


После how артикль a/an не ставится.
Example:
How clever these children are!
How well she speaks English!
How slowly the man walks!
