CONTENT AND DISCUSSION:
Introduction :
People communicate with each other through words and actions.
Every single word can bring joy hope and peace. Sometimes it can also
damage our feelings and cause other hurts and pains. Some people
communicate easily through actions. Most of the time both words and
actions.
Words and actions are effective means of communication. A single
word properly used can build a good relationship. Gentle words can inspire a
person. Encouraging words can motivate and uplift the lowly. But some words
can compare to dangerous weapon that can hurt, damage, and even kill the
person if abusively used.
Action suggest different meanings. A smile, tender touch, a hug and a
kiss can bring joy and heal the pain. Some actions can also make lots of
trouble.
Proper words accompanied by genuine actions will surely makes a
peaceful world.
GOD SAYS
Words and actions always go together. Every time people say words they are
accompanied with actions. In Jesus’ time He proclaimed his message through
words and actions. As He preached the message of salvation, He
performed miracles, He healed the sick. Fed the hungry forgave the
sinners, cast out demons and combats the lowly and the outcast.
Now let us read and listen the word of God in the sacraments.
The Sacraments in the Scripture
1. BAPTISM: Mt. 28:19-20
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to
obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to
the very end of the age.”
2. CONFIRMATION: Acts 8:15-17
15
When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might
receive the Holy Spirit, 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of
them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then
Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
3. HOLY EUCHARIST: MT.26:26-2826 While they were eating, Jesus took
bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples,
saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had
given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my
blood of the[b] covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of
sins. 29 I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until
that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
4. RECONCILIATION; Jn.20:21-23
Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending
you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy
Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not
forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
5. ANNOINTING OF THE SICK: Mt 10:1
Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out
impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
6. MATRIMONY: Eph. 5:31
“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his
wife, and the two will become one flesh.” [a]
7. HOLY ORDERS: Mt 28:19-20
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to be
everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very
end of the age.”
The Church makes Christ present in all person in every age, first by
being His body and second by celebrating those actions that continue in
Christ’s own ministry. Each of the sacraments celebrated by the Church
reenact certain acts of Jesus own public ministry. CFC 1525.

PRAYER :
Sacred Liturgy #14
Mother Church earnestly desires that all the faithful should be led to that
full, conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations which is
demanded by the very nature of the liturgy, and to which the Christian
people, "a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a redeemed people"
(1 Pet. 2:9, 4-5) have a right and obligation by reason of their baptism.
Sacred liturgy# 11
. But in order that the liturgy may be able to produce its full effects it is
necessary that the faithful come to it with proper dispositions, that their
minds be attuned to their voices, and that they cooperate with heavenly
grace lest they receive it in vain. [28] Pastors of souls must therefore,
realize that, when the liturgy is celebrated, something more is required than
the laws governing valid and lawful celebration. It is their duty also to
ensure that the faithful take part fully aware of what they are doing,
actively engaged in the rite and enriched by it.
LET US PRAY.
Father you are always thinking about your people you never forget us . You
sent us your Son Jesus who gave His life for us and who come to save us ‘ He
cured sick people who care for those who are poor and wept for those who
are sad. He forgave sinners and taught us to forgive each other. He loved
every one and showed us how to be kind. He took the children in His arms
and blessed them. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord Amen.
