why? How will working at Malala Fund help you achieve your
professional goals?

My primary goal is to complete my graduation in Law, and work as a M&A lawyer with a firm in
India. Being a commerce student in my High School the nuance and basics of finance and accounting
will help me achieve my goals. To reach where I want to be I need to become a good learner of law
from both practical as well as theoretical aspects, and develop a good network. Being a student of
law I always thrive to develop a strong understanding of various legal concepts, as well as social
concepts. I believe as a future lawyer it is my duty to contribute at least something to the society, so
I always try and do so, pursuing this belief now I am willing to contribute towards this cause of
providing access to education to girl child. My working at the Malala Fund will help me to work on
my believes/ideas, i.e. To contribute something towards the society and also this will be a great
opportunity for me to network with a number of people from all across the globe which will also
help me in building my networking skills.

Since Malala Fund works to address the various challenges which girls face in accessing education, so
I am looking forward to learn about how they advocate and bring policy changes and provide
resources to support girls’ education and make education for women accessible. I want to gain
understanding of how as a Not for Profit Organization Malala Fund collaborate and persuades
various state as well as non-state actors to take initiatives and specially allocate resources for the
cause. Moreover empowering girls require a collaborative effort, so to understand how the Malala
Fund do it on such a large level is something which I am keenly looking forward to understand.

Being from a rural place in Rajasthan, India I have personally witnessed a lot of bias in access to
education to girls, I have been keenly motivated to contribute towards this cause. In 2015 backed by
my school I undertook a project of raising funds for this cause, although I was not able to amass a
large amount of money, but whatever I raised was my little contribution for this purpose, which I
donated to the girl of the maid which used to work in my house.

What differentiates me from the other candidates is my ability to understand and communicate with
people very well, since I have studied in 10 different schools and now my university, I have
developed good adaptability skills, as well as networking skills, i.e. To communicate, understand, and
develop relationship with different type of people. Moreover being a law student and having
undertook a project to raise funds and awareness about access of education to girl child in my high
school I believe I have the basic understanding of what skills this project would require. Moreover I
have the experience of working in a hardcore law firm, with a politician, and a think tank as an
intern, which gives me an upper edge in terms of work experience and adaptability to different
working conditions.
