Miss & Mister Teen International FIlcom - KSA 2024

Guidelines

GENERAL

1. It is understood that all information contained in the application form are authentic and
correct. Hence, any misinformation given shall be a valid ground for disqualification. It is
assumed by the Organizer, VRB Events Management, that during the duration of the
contest, no contestant is participating in a similar contest or pageant.

2. The candidates shall always observe propose decorum during the tenure of the contest by
observing and practicing the following:

a) Respect individual’s privacy.


b) Avoid gossiping, intrigues and derogatory remarks.
c) Avoid bullying, misbehaving, character assassination, uttering foul languages and
fight, either physical or verbal.
d) Always observe proper conduct/decorum. .

3. Harassment in any form is strictly prohibited. Moreover, no unauthorized communication


shall be made directly or indirectly by the Organizers to the candidates except for official
calls related to the event. No candidate is allowed to personally invite the organizers for
gatherings, parties, home visits, etc., except for promotional purposes of the event. The
contestants shall inform the Organizers if such cases shall happen. Likewise, any action(s)
by the contestant or his/her team that may negatively affect the reputation and prestige of
the contest and the Organization, shall be considered ground for disqualification from the
contest.

4. Exchanging of contact details, such as, mobile/telephone numbers, emails, social media
accounts among the Organizers, contestants, parents/guardians...shall be at their sole
discretion of the person concerned. No third party shall provide other’s personal
data/information or on their behalf without their consent.

5. Parents/Guardians/Handlers shall make sure their respective candidates are well informed,
well-oriented and organized. VRB Events Management assumes that candidates and
handlers shall communicate with each other on matters concerning the event. To facilitate
communication, a group chat shall be made for all candidates, guardians and handlers. All
communications and messages shall be treated with confidentiality and proper decorum. If
a candidate, for any reason, dismisses his/her relationship with the handler, he/she shall
notify the Organization immediately. Likewise, if a candidate for any reason, back-out from
the contest, he/she will be removed immediately from the chatroom.

6. Should any of the candidates withdraw from the contest for any reason, he/she should
return all items/accountabilities that the Organizing Committee has given to him/her (i.e., T-
shirt, accessories, sponsor’s complimentary items, etc.).

7. No candidate, parent/guardian/handler shall influence directly or indirectly the judges, VRB


Events Management officers and organizers.

8. Transportation during practices/rehearsals, workshops, meetings, and sponsor visits shall


be the responsibility of the candidates.

9. Candidates are encouraged but not obligated nor forced to sell sponsor’s products,
services, networking as a requirement in this contest.

10. Suggestions/comments by the candidates/handlers, if any, are most welcome. However,


these matters should be addressed directly and in proper manner to the Organizing
Committee.

11. The candidates, their parents/guardians/handlers shall hold VRB Events Management and
its officers free from any legal action for any reason whatsoever, arising from this contest.

12. The decision of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable. In case of a tie, only the judges
have the sole discretion to break the tie.

REHEARSALS, WORKSHOPS & SPONSOR VISITS

1. The candidates must attend the workshops/rehearsals as per the given timetable. Likewise,
ad hoc rehearsals/meetings arranged by the Organizing Committee shall be given priority
by the candidates. In all cases, punctuality must be strictly observed.

2. No candidate is allowed to leave during practices/rehearsals, visit engagements and


workshops without seeking permission from the Organizing Committee.

3. Parents/guardians/handlers and other team members shall be prohibited to be at the


rehearsal area and shall not interfere with the director/organizers while the rehears is going
on.

4. Candidates must refrain from eating except during breaks. Littering and loitering during the
rehearsal must be avoided. Smoking is strictly for adults only and must be done in a
designated area.

5. Food & drinks maybe provided by the Organizers. However, bringing food or potluck is
encouraged and highly appreciated. Sharing is very much welcome.

PRE-PAGEANT AND CORONATION NIGHT

1. During the pre-pageant and coronation night, contestants are only allowed to bring handler
(1), designer (1) and HMUA (1) at the backstage. Backstage entry pass shall be provided
and must be worn always. No Pass No Entry policy will be strictly enforced.

2. Without permission from the owner, candidates must refrain from using other’s personal
belongings (make-ups, clothes, accessories, etc.) Accordingly, contestants are enjoined to
take extra care of their belongings.

3. If the candidates failed to appear or compete during the Pre-pageant and in one of the
segments during the Coronation night, he/she shall receive 5 points lower than the
candidate with the lowest score in that segment. It is presumed that when the Organizer
calls for the show to start during the Coronation Night, the candidate is already ready.

4. During the Coronation Night, there will be 3 segments – Fiesta Filipiniana,


Casual/Production Number, and Evening Wear. Each representing 25% and would be the
basis to select the Semi-Finalists.

5. For Fiesta Filipiniana, the Organizers will assign 1 Designer for each pair of Miss & Mister
Teen candidates. The Organizers reserve the right to choose the pairing of the candidates
mainly in consideration of their physical height and location. The theme/inspiration is
Mascota de Zamboanga. Back dress/attachments will not be allowed. Head dress is
allowed. (No measurement limits are set to allow Designers to be creative. As long as the
‘work’ does not drown the candidate.) Ideas and designs have no boundaries as long as
the aesthetics of Mascota will be maintained. In line with the Filipiniana theme, use of
native appliques, beads, sequins and stones are encouraged, but not limited
to. Specific/Detailed guidelines and criteria will be discussed later.

6. Hair and make-up as well as other personal requirements shall be the responsibility of the
contestant and his/her team. Accordingly, the Organizer shall not be held responsible for
any lost, missing, broken belongings.

2. Penalty/Deduction:

a. The candidates are advised to observe Saudi customs, rules and regulations (i.e.,
no daring/revealing clothes) and no show-stealing act/grandstanding during the
show. Otherwise, 2-point deduction will be imposed.

b. The candidate must follow the rules of choreography. Posing at every designated
station shall be limited to 5 seconds and any violation proven to be intentional will
bear a 1-point deduction for every violation in each segment.

c. Due diligence and objectivity will be exercised during the scoring/tabulation


process and the judges’ decision is considered final.

The above rules and guidelines have been discussed and we hereby conform and agree.
