Imagine you are working on a financial report in a

spreadsheet application and you need to prepare it for


printing.

Describe the steps you would take to accomplish the


following the following task :-

1. Adjust the margins to ensure that your reports fits


neatly on the printed page
2. Create headers and footers which will include the titlw
of the report, page
number and the current date.

3. Set page breaks to control where the report starts on a


new page
4. Change the page orientation from portrait to landscape
to accommodate wider tables

5. Create a PDF document of this report and prinr it out

Following these steps should help you prepare a well-


formatted financial report in a spreadsheet application for
printing.

1. Adjust Margins:
1. Open your spreadsheet application and open the
financial report.
2. Navigate to the “Page Layout” or “Layout” tab,
depending on your application.
3. Look for the “Margins” option and select
“Custom Margins.”
4. Adjust the top, bottom, left, and right margins to
your desired values. Ensure they are set to fit the content
neatly on the printed page.
5. Click “OK” to apply the changes.

2. Create Headers and Footers:

1. Still in the “Page Layout” or “Layout” tab, find


the “Header & Footer” section.
2. Click on “Header” or “Footer” to enter the
editing mode.
3. Insert the title of the report, page number, and
current date using the options provided.
4. You can format the text, add page numbers, and
insert date variables.
5. Exit the header and footer editing mode when
you’re done.

3. Set Page Breaks:


1. Navigate to the specific row where you want the
report to start on a new page.
2. Select the row below the desired break point.
3. In the “Page Layout” or “Layout” tab, find the
“Breaks” option.
4. Choose “Insert Page Break.”

4. Change Page Orientation:

1. Go to the “Page Layout” or “Layout” tab.


2. Look for the “Orientation” option.
3. Choose “Landscape” to change the page
orientation.

5. Create PDF and Print:

1. Once you’ve adjusted margins, added


headers/footers, set page breaks, and changed orientation,
it’s time to create a PDF.
2. Go to “File” and select “Save As” or “Export”
depending on your application.
3. Choose the PDF format and specify the location
to save the file.
4. Click “Save.”
5. Open the saved PDF file and ensure everything
looks as expected.
6. Print the PDF document using the print options
in the pdf viewer.
