Grade 1

Task:1 Meet up with your neighbour


How to do it:
 Select a neighbour who lives next to your door .
 Take an appointment for your visit.
 Prepare a short questionnaire for the interview.
 During your visit take pictures.
 You can also make short video of the visit.
 Document all in your 'Visitors' Diary'
How to Present it:
Make a booklet using coloured do sheets in neat handwriting.

Task:2 Shape Hunt


 Make a list and also take pictures of shapes you find in your house .
 Look for 2D shapes like rectangle , square , circle , cone , triangle etc
How to Present it:
 Label and paste the pictures of different shapes in a booklet .

Task: 3 How to Use Fruits & Veggies to Make Stamps


What to do :
 Cut fruits and vegetables in half so that you can see seeds and shapes inside.
 Spread paint on several plates, so there are different colors to choose from.
 Dip a few interesting pieces of the cut fruit and veggies into the paint. Then use
them to create prints on paper.
 Create different patterns.
 Let the artwork dry.

How to Present it:


Create the patterns in a scrap book .

Task:4 Visit to a garden


 Visit a garden or a park near to your house with your parents .
 Explore different leaves .
 Collect different types of leaves .

How to Present it:


 Make a scrap book using white A4 sheets .
 Paste and label them in a scrap book .

Task:5 Let’s make yummy sandwich


 Make sandwich of your own choice ( club , egg, chicken ,ham, nutella etc )
 Take picture of each step.
 Share sandwiches with your siblings and parents .
 Take their comments
 Make a recipe card and decorate it.
How to Present it:
 Paste picture recipe card and comments (of sibling and parents ) in a booklet using
coloured do sheets.
Task:6 Let’s reuse the shoe box
Steps:
1 Use ruler to sketch small rectangle in middle of shoebox lid.
2 Place paper towel roll against side of shoebox and trace with pencil.
3 Ask an adult to cut out openings with craft knife.
4 Remove lid from shoebox. ...
5 Add glue to rim of shoebox and replace lid.
