specified on the approved detailed reinforcement drawings in accordance with sound design procedure.

3.02 PLACING/ASSEMBLY
Reinforcement shall be laid, anchored and embedded in the concrete as shown in the drawings or as directed by
the Project Engineer. Unless otherwise directed, the spacing of reinforcement bars shall be measured along the
centerline of the bars. Reinforcement shall be inspected for compliance with the requirements as to size, length,
splicing position, position and number after placement based on the approved reinforcement drawings has been
done.
Before reinforcement are placed, the surfaces of the bars and the surfaces of any metal bar support shall be
cleaned of heavy flaky rust, loose scales, dirt, grease or other foreign substance which in the opinion of the

nominal size ranges herein after specified. It shall conform to the requirements of ASTM C-33 and it shall consist
of hard, tough, durable, uncoated rock fragments.

3 ADMIXTURE
In order to determine the right mixtures for the concrete structures, proportioning shall be 1:2:4 that bears the
allowable concrete compressive stress, fc’=21 MPa. This stress is used in the design of the said concrete.

IV. MASONRY WORKS

1 SCOPE
This section consist of installation of concrete hollow blocks for the construction of walls, division of areas, and
dividers.

2 METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION
