1. **Tell us about yourself and why you're interested in an HR Assistant role.

**

 First of all, I would like to thank the company for giving me the opportunity to be interviewed
for the HR Assistant position. My name is Nicole Eusebio, and I recently graduated with a BS in
Psychology. Although my internship wasn't in an industrial setting, I was fortunate to have
gained experience in tasks that closely align with HR responsibilities. I worked on activities such
as document management, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting administrative
processes, which have given me a solid foundation in the key skills needed for this role. I believe
I am qualified for this position because of my strong organizational abilities, attention to detail,
and a genuine passion for helping create a positive work environment. Additionally, I am eager
to learn and grow within the HR field, and I am confident that my proactive attitude and
dedication will allow me to contribute effectively to the team.

 I am very interested in this position because I believe my skills and experience align well with
your company’s needs. I am passionate about this industry and think this position offers a great
opportunity to utilize my professional abilities and work with an excellent team to achieve the
company’s goals.

2. **What do you know about our company and why do you want to work here?**

 Mercury Drugs is a leading retail pharmacy chain in the Philippines, known for its commitment
to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare products and services. I am impressed by the
company's long-standing reputation for reliability and customer care. I want to work here
because I think the company and the employee will help me grow.

3. **How do you prioritize your tasks when given multiple deadlines?**

 I prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact. I break down complex projects into smaller,
manageable steps and create a timeline to ensure timely completion.

4. **Describe a time when you had to handle a difficult situation or conflict. How did you resolve it?**

 During my internship at RDIC, I encountered a challenging situation with a few students who
were particularly hard-headed and strong-willed. On one occasion, a group of them was
persistently pushing for their own way, which led to instances of disrespect towards me. To
address this, I first ensured that I remained calm and composed. I approached them individually
to discuss their behavior and listen to their concerns. By acknowledging their feelings and
explaining the importance of mutual respect and following guidelines, I was able to establish a
more cooperative environment. I also set clear expectations and boundaries, which helped in
fostering a more respectful and productive interaction moving forward.

5. **What do you think are the most important qualities for an HR Assistant?**

 The most important qualities for an HR Assistant, in my opinion, are a strong sense of empathy
and excellent organizational skills. An HR Assistant often serves as the first point of contact for
employees, so being approachable and understanding is crucial in creating a positive work
environment. Alongside this, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain
attention to detail ensures that HR processes run smoothly, from handling paperwork to
coordinating interviews. These qualities, combined with a genuine interest in helping others,
make for a successful HR Assistant who can support both the team and the overall goals of the
organization.

6. **How do you handle confidential information?**

 Handling confidential information is a matter of both integrity and diligence for me. I approach it
with the utmost respect and care, ensuring that all sensitive data is accessed only by those
authorized and is securely stored.

7. **What software or tools are you familiar with that are relevant to HR?**

 I’m familiar with several key tools relevant to HR. I’ve worked extensively with the Microsoft
Office Suite, including Excel for data management, Word for document creation, PowerPoint
presentations, and Publisher for designing materials. Additionally, I have experience using
communication and collaboration platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, and Discord, which have
been invaluable for virtual meetings and team coordination.

8. **How would you approach onboarding a new employee?**

 When onboarding a new employee, I believe in creating a welcoming and supportive

environment from the start. My approach would involve introducing them to the team and
providing a comprehensive orientation that covers company culture, expectations, and key
processes. I’d ensure they have access to the necessary resources and tools, and pair them with
a mentor or buddy to help them navigate their new role. Regular check-ins during the initial
weeks would be crucial to address any questions or concerns and to gather feedback on their
onboarding experience, ensuring they feel integrated and valued within the team.

9. **How do you stay updated with the latest HR trends and best practices?**

 I stay updated with the latest HR trends and best practices by actively engaging with social
media platforms and following relevant industry news. Social media provides a dynamic and
real-time perspective on emerging trends and innovations, while news outlets offer in-depth
analyses and updates. This combination helps me stay informed and adaptable in the ever-
evolving HR landscape.

10. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

 In five years, I see myself still thriving within this company, having grown both personally and
professionally. I envision myself taking on more responsibilities, contributing to impactful
projects, and continuously learning from my colleagues. My goal is to evolve alongside the
company, leveraging my skills and experience to support our collective success and embrace
new opportunities for growth.

11. Tell me about your weakness.

 One of my weaknesses is a lack of experience in the industry. As a fresh graduate, I’m still
building my practical skills and knowledge. However, I view this as an opportunity rather than a
setback. My eagerness to learn and my strong foundation in psychology drive me to quickly
adapt and gain experience. I’m committed to developing my skills through hands-on work and
ongoing learning.

12. How do you handle feedback and criticism?

 I believe feedback and criticism are valuable opportunities for growth and improvement. I
actively listen to feedback, keeping an open mind and remaining receptive to different
perspectives. I reflect on the feedback, identify areas where I can make adjustments, and take
proactive steps to address them. I view criticism as constructive and use it as a catalyst to
enhance my skills and performance.

13. What’s your salary expectation?

 I'm very enthusiastic about the possibility of joining your team and contributing to the
company’s success. When it comes to salary, I'm flexible and open to negotiation. I’m more
focused on finding a role that offers opportunities for growth and development. I trust that your
organization values its employees and will offer a compensation package that is fair and
competitive, taking into account my skills and the responsibilities of the role. I'm confident we
can arrive at a mutually beneficial arrangement.

14. Why did you choose HR?

 I chose HR because I enjoy working with people and want to help create a positive workplace
environment. HR allows me to contribute to employee growth and organizational success by
aligning the right talent with the right roles.

15. What was your greatest achievement?

 My greatest achievement was completing my psychology degree with honors while balancing a
demanding internship.

16. In the past few days, what did you improve?

 In the past few days, I improved my time management skills by implementing a new scheduling
system that helps me prioritize tasks more effectively and meet deadlines consistently.

1. Do you have any questions?

 Is there anything that new employees struggle with, when they first start working here?
 Do you know when I can expect to hear back about the job?
 Do you have any hesitations about me or my resume I can address before I leave?
