There are two main parts of the computer hardware and software.
Hardware is tangible part of part of
computer and the softwares these are the applications and programs in the computer. There are
different types of computers such as desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphone. Desktop has monitor,
mouse allows us to point, click and drag text, symbols and links in the computer it right button, left
button and scroll and every button has functions. Mouse has a cursor that turns into symbols that has
meaning. Keyboard is a hardware that allows the user to type words or commands in the computer.
Monitor displays the information in the computer. Tower in the main box of computer this has
electronics that process data, like motherboard, ram, video card, sound card, central processing unit,
power supply. There are other components such as speaker, printer to print a hardcopy of documents in
the computer, scanner it scans documents that creates a copy of hardcopy to softcopy, camera allows
you to take pictures or video via computer. The categories of computers are personal computer, mobile
computer, server, mainframe, and supercomputer. Computers are use in home, office, business, mobile,
large business and power.
The other main part of the computer is the software. This composes of operating systems such as
Windows, Linux, or Mac and other programs such as Microsoft Office, Safari, search engine etc. for the
computer to function. These programs allow you to create and save documents or store documents.
Software also allows the computer to connect to other computers in the network or internet. The
network enables the information sharing with in a group of computers while the internet allows us to
access information available in the web. Internet enable us to communicate, share infos, shop, do bank
transaction, attend classes, and entertain ourselves through the use of website. Since the pandemic
happen more services has been available in the internet such healthcare, finance, education etc.
