LESSON 2: The Little Bird.
This lesson is about four friends- Jo, Bir, Mahi and Anu. The children are sad because they
cannot go out to play as it is raining outside. Suddenly a bird enters their house and Jo
suggests to catch the bird and keep it in a box but Anu says that they should let the bird go
out otherwise it will feel sad. Bir then opens the window. The rain has gone and its sunny
again. He let bird fly away to a big tree and the bird starts singing. The children become
happy.

The letters in English alphabet are written in a fixed order called the alphabetical order (A-

No English word can be written with the vowel.

Lesson: My Body
Human body is like a machine. It has many parts which are termed as body organs. Our
body has head on the top. The head is covered with hair. The part of body below neck is
called trunk. Our arms are joined to the trunk. Organs like head, eyes, ears, nose, hands etc.
are called external organs and the organs like stomach, lungs, heart etc. are called internal
organs. Every organ of the body whether internal or external performs a special function;
like we use our hands to hold things, to write and clap; we use our legs to walk, jump and
run.
Our eyes, nose, tongue, ears and skin help us to know about things around us. They are our
five helpers! They are called sense organs. Our sense organs help us to know the world
around us.

Lesson: The Clothes We Wear
We wear different types of clothes. We wear clothes to cover our body. Clothes protect us
from the hot sun, the cold wind, rain and insect bites. Clean clothes make us look smart. We
wear different types of clothes in different seasons. In summer we wear cotton clothes as
they keep us cool. We wear woolen clothes in winter as they keep us warm. We wear a

The dress we wear to school is called a uniform. Some people like nurses, policemen,
soldiers and doctors also wear uniform to work.
