Scope and Delimitation
The study explored the effect of parental involvement on the academic performance of
students at Hosanna Technological School of Arts and Sciences Etc., located in Cabuyao City,
Laguna. The study primarily involved interviews with at least five junior high school students
from Grades 7 to 10. The main objective was to determine whether parental involvement affects
the academic performance of students in this school. The interview questions were designed to
assess the potential impact of parental involvement on student acad emic performance at Hosanna
Technological School of Arts and Sciences Etc.
Significance of the Study
This study aims to explore the effect of parental involvement on the academic
performance of students at Hosanna Technological School of Arts and Sciences Etc., located in
Cabuyao City, Laguna. The result will contribute valuable insights into how parental engagement
influences student achievement, providing a basis to improve educational strategies and parental
practices. In particular, the study may benefit the following:
Students. It will help the acknowledgment of the study's influence concerning the involvement
of their parent support into the academic aspect of their lives, which further promotes open
communication with parents as well as collaborates them for better performance.
Parents. By the fact that this is an important factor in children's education, it specifies just how
important all those things would be undertaken in order to have your child perform better
academically.
Teachers and School Administration. The data generated by this study can inform polices and
programs for strengthening the schools-parents partnership for a better learning environment and
improving the rates of success of students.
Future Researchers. It can form the basis for future researchers intending to study the effect of
parental involvement concerning performance especially in a similar type of educational
institution.
