Student’s Insight About the Project:

As one of the people who came up with the idea of supporting single parents, my thoughts are that if we
were given the opportunity to help, I would most likely choose single parents. The government has no
financial plan for them, but as students, I believe they deserve to have it. They are just standing on its own,
attempting to cope with their everyday lives with their children. This type of initiative will give them the
feeling that they are not alone, and that we are here to help them by providing training programs and
seminars. This project is really beneficial since the seminars and training that we have prepared for them
will teach them how to start a business in an inexpensive and profitable manner. It will be successfully
implemented with the assistance and collaboration of CIV 302 students.

Student’s Learning from the Project:

I developed a great deal of patience while conducting the project; there was a lot of preparation and
planning, but at the end of the day, my classmates and I were very cooperative in accomplishing the
responsibilities assigned to them by our company. . By sharing our insight with our dear solo parents, I feel
that we have helped them with the knowledge that we have shared with them. I have also noticed many
teenagers from barangay Borol 1st who have become pregnant and are supporting their children alone, and I
can truly say that we should have done this because we can make her understand better that there are many
alternative ways to earn money to help them raise their children.
