In-service Training for Teachers


Narrative Report

Day 3

In accordance to regional memorandum No. 024 s. 2024 the guidelines on


the conduct of the In-service training for teachers, all schools shall
conduct 2 days is spent on Mid-Year Performance Review and Evaluation
while 3 days will be spent on reviewing some programs related to
education.

Takay Elementary School staff joint with other schools had our 3 rd day of
the INSET at Lubo Integrated School. At 8:00 in the morning the session
started with some preliminaries and was hosted by Mrs. Sue Ann Balaod.
In the morning session, the first speaker was Mrs. Sheila Mae Montecillo.
She started her discussion with a personality test wherein teachers may
identify what kind of personalities they possess. She highlighted the
importance of “Personality Development for teachers which may help us
become a better version of ourselves. After that, the second speaker was
then introduced who is the principal of Tangke Elementary School. She
discussed the different pedagogy in teaching specifically” traditional and the
constructivist approach.

In the afternoon, there were two speakers namely: Mrs. Ma Dina, the principal of
Bagakay Elementary School and Mr. Jayme M. Arnejo, the school head of Takay
Elementary School.
The first topic that tackled was about the different disciplines in teaching such as
multidisciplinary approach, transdisciplinary approach and the interdisciplinary
approach.
The second topic that was discussed by Mr. Arnejo was about the “Common
Difficulties in Learning Math”. He also discussed causes and potentials problems
may occur in teaching the subject.
