This method statement is to define responsibilities and introduce/Installation guidelines for
Installation of toilet mirrors involved in Construction of ISBL ciivil package for china chengda

The scope of work is installation of toilet mirrors for Construction of ISBL ciivil package for
china chengda qvc pvc project specifications /Shop drawings
The objective of this document is to ensure that proposed activity shall be in line with Material

Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and supervising the work of all

within budget along with managing equipment and materials required.
Perform various tasks that are required on the work site. Responsible in

structure demolition, and assembly and installation of components.
7. PERMITS AND LICENSES
Permit to work will be obtained before the commencement of Mirror installation at site from the
Concerned authority.
8. SEQUENCE OF ACTIVITIES
8.1 Fabrication
• 6mm Belgium Mirrors are cut to size as per the site dimensions, cleaned, polished all four sides
and beveled as per the drawings.
• Check the back paint condition if there is any scratch of peel off around the mirror edge.
• Fix 3mm thick plywood at the back of the mirror using silicone, as shown in fig. 4
• Stainless Steel of 25mmX15mmX2mm L angle welded on 40X1.5mm thick plate is used to frame
the mirror all around. This framing will be secured at the back to the plywood with silicon
• Fix galvanized L bracket with holes for fixing using silicon to the 3mm thick plywood.
Post Fabrication
• Fabricated Mirrors are checked for quality and will be delivered to Site.
• NAG Site Engineer shall ensure that all materials shall be delivered to site comply with approved

mockup and shall be assigned at temporary storage locations at Site according to its fixing
location.
• The fixing location of each individual Mirrors shall be defined by room numbers and related
identification marking to ensure compliance to the approved shop drawing and traceability.
• All material and fixing material shall be offloaded to temporary loading area.
• The material shall be handled with care to avoid any
damage.
• The material shall be unloaded to the working area if the site
condition is allowed.
8.2 Site Installation Fig 2
• Before commencement, cross check the site condition. If
there are any major variations, it must be ratified.
• Check all the fabricated Mirrors delivered are of good quality and quantity that for executing the
project.
• Holes are drilled on the fixing location with drilling machine.
• L shape (hook type) Screws with rawl plug are fixed in the holes.
• Mirrors are carefully lifted and hung on the hook typed screws and checked for proper alignment.

8.3 Cleaning and Protection
At the end of each workday, all debris will be cleared from the site.
9. QUALITY
• Each activity shall be inspected and approved as per the Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
• Ensure that the latest approved shop drawings and documents are being utilized.
• Ensure that only approved materials are utilized.
• Periodic check of works to ensure the work is accomplished according to Quality Procedures.
• Ensure all measuring devices are regularly calibrated.

• HSE site specific induction courses shall be provided to all personnel and visitors prior on
commencing work or visiting the site
• All personnel will wear the required PPE in accordance with site regulations. The PPE should at
a minimum include the following:
Safety Helmet
Coverall
Safety Glasses (Clear Glass)
Hand Gloves
Safety Vest
Safety Shoes
Ear Plugs (when required)
• Occupational Health and Safety shall be fully implemented in accordance with QCS 2014
Section 1, Part 10.
• The supervisor or foreman responsible for the job will be present at site during working hours
and a safety officer will also be present to monitor the activity.
• First aid boxes will be available at designated areas throughout the site.
• Regular toolbox talks shall be conducted to explain the nature of the work and the associated
risks involved.
10.2 Safety Measures during Execution
• Conduct TBT regularly for all of the operatives regarding the scope of work and the risk involved
in installation of Mirror.
• Drinking water to be provided near work area.
• Safety cone and warning tape will mark the execution zone
• No workers to use earphones under any circumstances.

• No curtains to be installed within the cabins of rolling equipment.
• Illumination assessment to be carried out before night working commences.
• All the workers’ PPE should be clean and reflective strips to be clearly visible.
