Speech: My Future Career – Mechatronics
Engineering
1. A Future Wired with Possibilities
Good morning everyone,
Today I’d like to talk about the university career I want to pursue: Mechatronics Engineering.
This is a fascinating field that combines mechanical engineering, electronics, computing, and
control systems. For me, becoming a mechatronics engineer is more than just a dream — it’s a
goal that reflects my passion for technology, robotics, and innovation.
2. Beyond Playing: Building the Future
Playing with machines, designing systems, and solving real-world problems — these are the
kinds of things that excite me the most. Playing games all day would be lots of fun, but for me,
building machines that work like magic would be even better.
3. Why Mechatronics? Why Me?
There are many reasons why I’m interested in this career. First, mechatronics offers a wide
range of job opportunities. From automation to robotics, from aerospace to medicine,
mechatronics engineers are needed in so many areas. He’d be good at testing games, yes, but I
think I’d be even better at testing robotic systems.
4. The Thrill of the Challenge
Another thing is that it’s a very dynamic career. Creating intelligent machines and
programming robots sounds more challenging than doing routine tasks in an office. In my
opinion, challenge is something positive when it helps you grow.
5. Not Always Easy, But Always Worth It
However, it’s not a perfect path. The career is demanding. It requires a lot of effort, math,
physics, and patience. Sometimes, you spend hours trying to solve a single problem. Compared
to other careers, Mechatronics has worse hours than Business Administration, for example.
You may need to work late at night, or even on weekends. But I believe the reward is worth it.
6. Let’s Talk Money
Let’s talk about income. A mechatronics engineer earns more than a graphic designer in most
cases. And this profession is better paid than teaching positions, especially in the private
industry. But again, it all depends on where you work and how much experience you have.
7. Medicine vs. Mechatronics
When we compare it to Medicine, things get more interesting. Medicine sounds more
challenging than Mechatronics, because of the years of study and responsibility. But
Engineering is less emotionally exhausting than working in hospitals. Also, Mechatronics has
better hours than Medicine, because doctors often work night shifts or stay on call.
8. Software or Hardware? I Want Both!
Even if you compare it to careers like Software Engineering, there are differences. Software
Engineering is better paid than Mechatronics in some countries, especially in tech hubs. But I
find that working with both software and hardware is more exciting than working only with
code. That’s the beauty of Mechatronics — it gives you a bit of everything.
9. Powered by Passion
In conclusion, choosing Mechatronics Engineering is not just about money or prestige. It’s
about what I love doing. Designing robots, programming systems, solving problems — these
are the things that make me feel alive. Of course, every path has its pros and cons, but for me,
pursuing this career is more rewarding than choosing something that doesn’t inspire me.
Thank you for listening!
