TEST 4
Let’s translate into Vietnamese:
Task 1:
UK survey shows almost half of kids don’t want the internet
A new survey shows that many young people wish the internet did not exist.
The study included young people aged 16 to 21. About 70% of them feel bad after using social
media. Half of them would like a “digital curfew.” This means they cannot use certain apps or
websites after 10 PM. Also, 46% said they would prefer to be young without any internet.
One-fourth of the young people spend four or more hours on social media each day. About 42%
lied to their parents about what they do online.
When online, 42% lied about their age. 40% had a secret account. And 27% pretended to be
someone else.
These results came after a government official in the UK talked about making new laws for apps
like TikTok and Instagram.
Child safety expert Rani Govender says that digital curfews are helpful. But she also says they
are not enough to keep children safe online. Other actions are also needed. She explained that
children can still see dangerous things at other times of the day.
Govender also said that companies and the government should focus on making websites safer
and less addictive for children.
1,293 young people did the survey. It also showed that 27% shared their location online with
strangers.
The study also showed that three-fourths of young people spent more time online because of the
pandemic. And 68% felt that time online was bad for their mental health.
Andy Burrows, from the Molly Rose Foundation, said young people know the dangers online.
He said they want tech companies to protect them. He believes new laws are needed to make the
internet safer.
Task 2:
The Country Where Bears Walk Free
Romania is a country in Europe. Many brown bears live there. There are about 13,000 bears in
the forests. The forests are called the Carpathian Mountains.
Before, people put bears in cages. Now, people go to the forest to see bears. It is a popular thing
to do in Romania.
In 2007, Romania joined the European Union. New rules helped protect animals. Now bears live
free in nature.
Bears have lived in Europe for millions of years. But when more people built towns, many bears
disappeared. Today, Romania has more bears than people thought.
Seeing Bears in Romania
Now many tourists come to Romania. They want to see wild bears. Tour companies take people
on hikes to see bears. This helps local people make money. It also helps protect the bears.
There is a special place called Libearity Bear Sanctuary. It is in Zarnesti, a town in the
mountains. The sanctuary helps bears who cannot live in the wild. Visitors can see more than
130 bears there.
Problems with Bears
Sometimes bears cause problems. Some farmers lose animals because of bears. Sometimes
hikers meet bears by accident. A few accidents were very bad.
Most problems happen because of human mistakes. If you walk in the forest, make noise. Talk or
clap your hands. This gives the bear time to go away.
If you meet a bear, do not run. Stand tall and move back slowly.
Romania also plants trees and teaches people about bears. Cristina Lapis, who helps bears, says:
“We must learn to live together.”
Task 3:
Seven Easy Ways to Help the Planet in 2025
We can all help the Earth. Even small actions are important. Here are seven easy things you can
do in 2025 to help our planet.
1. Eat More Plant-Based Food: Eating more vegetables and less meat is good for the Earth. By
2033, there will be about 58 billion farm animals. These animals make gases that hurt the planet.
But people who eat more plants make less pollution. Even one plant-based meal a day can help.
2. Travel by Train or Bus: Airplanes cause a lot of air pollution. If you travel, try to take a train
or bus instead of flying. If you drive, share the car with others. This makes less pollution too.
3. Ride a Bike or Walk: If your trip is short, you can walk or ride a bike. Cars use fuel and
make dirty air. Bikes and walking do not. They also help you stay healthy.
4. Buy Fewer New Clothes: Making new clothes uses lots of water and energy. You can help by
buying fewer clothes. Try to buy second-hand clothes or use your old ones longer. Wash clothes
less often to save water and energy.
5. Care for Pets in a Green Way: Pets are lovely, but they can also make pollution. You can
help by feeding pets better food, like insect protein or leftovers. Use eco-friendly dog bags and
toys.
6. Use Less Heating: Heating homes makes a lot of pollution. You can use less heat or get a heat
pump. Close windows and doors, use warm clothes, and keep your house warm without much
energy.
7. Use Less Plastic: Plastic is bad for nature and animals. Use your own bag at the shop. Buy
food without plastic packaging. Do not use plastic forks, spoons, or cups. Use metal or paper
straws instead of plastic ones.
Let’s Help the Earth Together!
These small steps can make a big difference. You don’t have to do everything at once. Start with
one or two changes, and help protect our planet.
