What is Hardware?
Hardware means all the physical parts of a computer (things you can touch).
Main Parts to Know
- Motherboard
- CPU (Processor)
- GPU (Graphics Card)
- RAM (Memory)
- Storage (HDD/SSD)
- Input Devices
- Output Devices
Motherboard
The main board that connects all parts together. It makes sure the parts talk to each other and work
together.
CPU (Processor)
The brain of the computer. It follows instructions and does calculations.
GPU (Graphics Card)
Handles images and videos. Great for gaming and video editing.
RAM (Memory)
Temporary storage for things the computer is working on right now. Faster than storage drives.
Storage (HDD/SSD)
HDD = slower, more space, cheaper.
SSD = faster, less space, more expensive.
Input Devices
Things you use to give commands: keyboard, mouse, microphone, etc.
Output Devices
Things that show results: monitor, printer, speakers, etc.
