1. Gatekeeper/Notarization Issues (macOS)
• Security Restrictions: On macOS Catalina and later, enhanced
security measures may block SEB 3.x from launching if the app isn’t
properly notarized.
• Unidentified Developer Warning: macOS may flag SEB as
coming from an unidentified developer, preventing the installation
from proceeding.
How to fix:
• Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy and, under
the General tab, click “Open Anyway” when prompted.
• Alternatively, run the Terminal command xattr -rc
/Applications/SEB.app to remove quarantine attributes.
2. Incompatible or Outdated Operating System
• macOS: Verify that your system meets the minimum OS
requirements specified in the release notes. Running on an older
macOS version may cause the installer to fail or lead to unexpected
behavior.
How to fix:
• Ensure your macOS version is supported (e.g., macOS Big Sur or
later).
• Update your operating system via System Preferences >
Software Update.
