1. I hereby declare that the information mentioned in the Application Form is complete and true to the best of my
knowledge and belief.
2. I hereby undertake to present the original documents for verification immediately upon demand by the concerned
authorities.
3. I hereby promise to abide by the rules and regulations concerning admission, attendance, discipline, etc. of ORIENTAL
UNIVERSITY and follow the Code of Conduct in force from time to time and subsequent changes, modifications, or
amendments made thereto. I acknowledge that ORIENTAL UNIVERSITY has the authority to take punitive action
against me for violation or non-compliance of the same.
4. I understand that 75% attendance in classes is compulsory, and I commit myself to adhering to the same. I also
understand that, in case my attendance falls short for any reason, the competent authority of the ORIENTAL
UNIVERSITY may take such punitive action against me as may be deemed fit and proper.
5. I hereby declare that I will neither join in any agitation nor strike for the purpose of forcing the authorities of the institute
to resolve any problem, nor will I participate in any activity that has a tendency to disturb the peace and tranquilly of the
academic environment of the ORIENTAL UNIVERSITY campus and/or its hostel premises.
6. I hereby declare that I will not indulge in nor tolerate ragging in any form, even in words or intentions, and I accept to
give an undertaking in the prescribed format for the same.
7. I hereby declare that I shall be solely responsible for my involvement in any kind of unlawful activity, whether inside or
outside the campus, and shall be liable for punishment as per the law of the land. I further understand that the Institute
shall in no way provide any support to me and will not be held responsible for any such action.
8. I hereby acknowledge that I shall be liable for expulsion forthwith from the ORIENTAL UNIVERSITY on being found
involved in or committing any offence cognizable and punishable under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic
Substances Act, 1985.
9. I also declare that I am not suffering from any serious or contagious ailment or any psychiatric or psychological disorder.
10. I hereby undertake to inform the ORIENTAL UNIVERSITY about any changes in information submitted by me in the
Application Form and any other documents, including changes in addresses and phone numbers, from time to time.
11. I will complete my enrollment related formalities including submission of original TC and Migration within a period of
two months (If not available at the time of admission) from the date of admission. Failing which my examination form
will not be forwarded for semester examination.
12. I will compulsorily follow the dress code and uniform prescribed by the university.
13. I will not give any proxy attendance during the classes. If found to be so, I will be entitled to the punishment given by the
University.
14. I will be sincere in appearing for internal test examinations and will not adopt any kind of unfair means during internal
exams. If found to be so, I will be entitled to the punishment given by the institute.
15. I will appear for university exams sincerely and will not adopt any unfair means during the exams. If found to be so, I
will be entitled to the punishment given by the university’s authorities.
16. I will read the notice boards (departmental, library, and office), check notifications on the website and other digital
platforms regularly, and be responsible for seeking the information displayed thereon for students.
17. If I am found responsible for damaging or disfiguring the University building, laboratory and classroom furniture,
machineries and equipment, fittings and fixtures, library books and periodicals, etc., I will be liable for expulsion from
the University with a heavy fine deemed fit by the university authorities. In this case, the decision of the concerned
authority will be final.
18. I am aware of the CCTV camera system installed in the university, and I can be identified if involved in any misbehavior
or unlawful acts. In such circumstances, I will be liable for the punishment given by the university authorities.
19. If I am found violating any of the disciplinary rules, I will be liable for the punishment given by the university authorities.
20. I further declare that my admission may be cancelled at any stage if I am found ineligible and/or the information provided
by me is found to be incorrect.
