Fundamental Question: Does the body respond to its environment?
Testable Question: When the body is in the squat position to normal while the time limit stays the
same and how far you squat is the same, will the heart rate recover after returning to standing position
in 10 seconds?
Hypothesis: If the body moves back to normal position from squatting position while the time limit
and squat angle are all relevant in all three trials, then the heart rate will balance in 10 seconds
because the baroreceptors will start the feedback mechanism and will quickly rebalance the heart

When the solution of tert butyl chloride in acetone is added to water in the presence of a base
and a universal indicator, its reaction to form tert butyl alcohol is indicated by dramatic color
change. Bromothymol blue is an acid base indicator which appears blue in an alkaline medium and
yellow in an acidic solution (Artxy, 2011). The solvolysis of tert butyl chloride is revealed by the
indicator change from blue to yellow as hydrogen halide is produced during the reaction (Mostafa,
2009). The solution is initially blue because of its Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) content (alkaline), and
the colour change results as aqueous chlorine removes a proton from the transition state, while the
generated hydrogen ions neutralise the hydroxide ions of the NaOH, causing the change in the pH of
the system (Riley, 1977). This qualitatively determines that the rate of reaction is dependent on the
concentration of tert butyl chloride.

The defendants will set out to argue the following points. We argue that we, W.R. Grace Company,
Beatrice Foods Company, and UniFirst Corporation are NOT responsible for the contamination of
wells G and H of East Woburn with toxic chemicals, including trichloroethylene (TCE) and
tetrachloroethylene, also known as perchloroethylene (PCE). We therefore argue that we are not
responsible for the contamination of the drinking water in wells G and H of East Woburn, the
contamination of which allegedly caused the reported cases of sickness, including cases of
leukemia, as well as other illnesses including, cardiac arrhythmias and disorders of the immune and
neurological systems. Finally, we claim no responsibility for the death of James Jimmy Anderson or
for the illness he contracted. Overall, we deny any charges against W.R. Grace Company, Beatrice
Foods Company, and UniFirst Corporation of contaminating the wells drinking water, and also
bringing about illnesses on to the East Woburn community.
