Thesis Statement On Diversity And Diversity
INTRODUCTION Jopwell is a recruiting firm which connects the minority job candidates with the
Tech companies in Silicon Valley. The main issue faced by the Tech companies is that the referral
candidates are not serving the purpose and they can t find talented minority candidates suitable to
their companies. The companies are aware of the benefits like increased financial returns by having
diversity in their workforce. Jopwell is currently serving 45 companies by providing them a pool of
thousands of talented minority candidates and has been successful in placing a significant number of
candidates in these companies. The company is focussing on diversifying the whole organization by
filling the non technical roles as well like finance, marketing,... Show more content on

The way in which an organization tackles diversity determines its negative or positive outcome. All
the 5 companies agreed that diversity has contributed to their success. Some barriers were identified
in managing diversity like the difficulties faced by women in managing the work and family, fear of
discrimination, resistance to change, diversity is not seen as an organizational priority, resistance to
change and unsupportive working environment for diverse employees. Diversity contributes to more
productivity but if not properly managed could hinder success. Research 3 [3] Objective of research:
Why diversity matters? Coverage Area: 366 public companies in Canada, UK, Latin America and
USA Findings and Conclusion: This research shows that women are still unrepresented in top
management globally. The difference in performance of the companies in the same country and
same industry implies that diversity serves a competitive differentiator. Certain companies focus on
gender diversity and others focus on ethnic and racial diversity but no company in the top quartile
focus on both. Companies which have greater diversity are able to attract top talent, improve internal
and external customer satisfaction, improve decision making and hence improve
Home School Collaboration Analysis
When families and school do great collaboration it is a greater chance for student success. According
to Mizerek and Christenson (2005), the benefits of home school collaboration are well supported in
both academic and social emotional areas. Forming partnerships with families is associated with
increased student achievement, improved attitude toward school, higher attendance rates, and lower
dropout rates. The authors state that children learn better when family, teachers and community are
involve in their life, working together to encourage and support them. Mizerek and Christenson
describes how beneficial are these collaborations between school and families in the children
development and resolving conflict or issues in school and home.

Chicago River Research Paper
The Chicago River was settled by Native American tribes and they were the first to discover the
portage between the Chicago River and Des Plaines River. The portage of the river is a valuable
to Europeans since it is linked to the Great Lakes with the Mississippi that is a good way to
export and import goods and the shipbuilding industry. The river has been reversed in 1889 by the
Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal to keep the sewage clean and flushing filthy water into Lake
Michigan due to the waterborne diseases that people were dying of to cholera or. Later again in
1922 the Cal Sag Channel built a channel to lock out too much lake water from going into the river
because states sued Chicago that they were using to much of Lake Michigan s water to clean the

Toxins in the water contribute to problems of the river because of the many times back in the day
when businesses dumped their waste into the river and till today isn t not yet cleared. Another
problem of the Chicago River is that the public has to interest and don t take any access towards
the river because the river is fenced and some people still remember the awful stinky smell and
the black color. The purpose of this field trip was to go test the different chemicals that are in the
water and the health of it and see what can be found in it. The field trip lets people know what
kind of biodiversity is around the river or in the river to see and determine the health of the river to
see what contributes to what the state the river is in
The Transition Between Classical And Romantic Styles
Franz Joseph Haydn was a kind, simple man whose eyes beamed with benevolence (Dies), and he
never forgot his humble origin. His string quartet known as The Lark embodies the Romantic and
Neoclassical styles of its time and is a well represented example of the Apollonian Order aesthetic.
He was an important aspect in the transition between the Classical and Romantic styles as well as an
excellent model for the music of his time.
Joseph Haydn was born March 31, 1732, in the marshy town of Rohrau, Lower Austria. Born as
one of six surviving children of Maria and Mathias Haydn, he began his education in music at a
young age and, upon maturity, began his work as a freelance musician. He quickly started to
acquire aristocratic patronage, and in 1761 gained a music director (or Kappelmeister) position
at the Esterháza Palace in Austria working for Prince Nicolaus I. His composition of the six string
quartets comprising Opus 64 was completed in 1790 after nearly thirty years of experiment. Opus
64 was one of two sets of six string quartets commissioned by and written for Johann Tost, a
violinist in Prince Nicolaus Esterhazy s orchestra. The quartets were said to be encouraged by the
Prince s housekeeper, Maria Anna von Jerlischek (or Fräulein Nanette as referred to by Haydn in his
letters to Maria Anna von Genzinger), who would later become Tost s wife. The period during which
the quartet was written occurred on the cusp of Romanticism, in the midst of the American

The Houston Texas, firm and subsidiaries were involved in a huge Ponzi con artist scheme which
resulted in 20 years of stealing over $7 billion international dollars. The end result was $17,000
supposed investors turned victims in the U.S. and other locations within the Americas. Davis in
particular was originally on the cusp of having to serve 110 years, shortening his sentence because
he as the second in charge he was able to provide a copious amount of priceless data against
Stanford who s end sentence was 110 years.
5. There were several sanctions levied against the corporation: (1) James M. Davis, CFO of
Stanford International Bank (SIB) and Houston based Stanford Financial Group, was sentenced
today to five years in prison for his role in helping Robert Allen Stanford perpetrate a fraud scheme
involving SIB and for conspiring to obstruct a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
investigation into SIB. (2) Personal money judgment of $1 billion. (3) Stanford and Holt are
currently serving 110 years and three years in prison, respectively. (4) Lopez and Kuhrt are in
federal custody and await sentencing, scheduled for February 14, 2013.
6. Our thoughts on the sanctions for Allen Stanford were fair enough and taken very seriously.
Stanford was sentenced to 110 years in prison with a one billion dollar fine. However, the sanctions
for James Davis are not severe enough. Conversely,

Visual Arts And Art Education
This essay is about visual arts/design education, visual culture education and a brief history of visual
art/design education. This essay aims to explore the connections of arts education, history of arts
education and visual culture education through a theoretical investigation of literature by theorist
Addison and Burgess 2015, Efland 1990, Eisenhauer 2006, Macdonald 2004, McFee 1960, Jetton
and Shanahan 2012. For the context of this study art/design education will simply be represented by
art education . I will use a qualitative research method

My essay begins with investigating the term visual arts. The phrase visual arts create a connection to
the world through the ways of seeing . The emphasis on what could be looked at heard and touched.
Therefore visual arts are an area of learning that focuses art forms that could be visually and audibly
appreciated. Example: painting, drawing, printing, weaving, ceramics, sculpture, tapestry, carpentry
etc. According to Addison and Burgess (2015:1) art and design is potentially a ... Show more content

For the reason that visual arts education is constantly changing I believe we can for now analyze it
as a social construction influenced by culture and the social context which it explains. Arts education
has been a vehicle that assists us in making meanings possible.

The continued success of art education should be focused on studying art through individual
experiences, and development. Also art history and the study of visual culture are meaningless in the
lives of learners unless they are better integrated into the art education curriculum (Mcfee 1960:18).
Although arts education has made great historical strides Efland (1990:263) still questions the
system of art education curricula particularly the educator s way of facilitating skills
Fab 5 Thesis Statement
Fab 5
Basketball has always been a favorite sport of Americans. Originally basketball players would wear
mini shorts and short socks. When the Fab Five were recruited to the Michigan college team they
changed the look of the sport forever. They brought in their own looks, styles and methods to
playing. (not a clear thesis statement/not a direct debatable statement) In 1989, on the eve of the
final championship game, Steve Fisher became the head coach for Michigan State. He and the team
went on to win the championship. Even though they won Steve didn t really get the credit for the
game since he had just been hired the night before. With the next season fast approaching fans and
critics were anxious to see if the new coach had good recruiting skills. His first pursuit was Juwan

people as so said they were too young. They showed the world that its not about your age but its
about your skill. Fab five became famous almost instantly. They became so famous that they had to
have security at their locker room door.
Jalen was was a heavy smack talker. Jalen did not smack talk because he was mad he talk because
he was trying to get into people s heads and distract them from the game. People in the today s time
have taken smack talk the wrong way they, use it because they are angry and not thinking. jalens
action were not well accepted by the fans. He later received many hate letters. Not only did he
received them but the other freshmen did as well. Alumni were mad that the traditional way of the
game was being changed. These letters only made them stronger.
The Fab five never won a championship but they are still consider one of the greatest college
basketball teams. They always stuck by each other through thick and thin. not only were they a team
they were also a brotherhood. The Fab five changed the way the game is played
