Example Of Observation Of Basketball
For my second observation I went back to my elementary school from when I was younger and
observed a second grade physical education class and their teacher Mrs. McFarland. It was a rainy
day so the lesson was held in the cafeteria. I observed Mrs. McFarland teach the first lesson of
basketball to her class, before class she told me that this would be the first lesson of a 6 part
lesson. When the students walked into the cafeteria they immediately sat down in their assigned
spots on the floor, Mrs. McFarland stood up at the front of the room by the stage area and all the
students. When all the students were seated Mrs. McFarland gave a very brief explanation on what
the students would be doing that day and then they started with a warm up. During the warm up the
students started out galloping around the room to music and when the music stop she would shout
of jumping jacks and the students would do jumping jacks until the music came back on. They did
this warm up for about 5 minutes and then went back to their spots and sat down. Mrs. McFarland
went back to the front of the cafeteria and began to talk to the students about what they would be
doing. She gave a demonstration of the triple threatposition and then asked the students some
questions about what they saw her just do. Next, she had the children grab their our balls and come
back to their spotso that they could practice some ballhandling drills. They used their finger tips to
ping pong the ball from hand to hand,

Scarface Film Techniques
The AFI movie I chose for a week 3 assignment is Scarface, this 1983 cinematic masterpiece,
starring Al Pacino, shows the journey of a simple immigrant from Cuba trying to make his way to
America, trying to find the American dream, after the character Tony Montana play by Al Pacino
tries to enter into United States illegally, he was caught and placed into a immigration detention
center, this is where Tony Montana gets his big break by taking on a contract hit for a Colombian
drug cartel that can help him with his immigration status. The theme of this movie Scarfaceis a fast
rise and fall of a poor immigrant from Cuba, with goals and aspirations to become a drug kingpin.
Each scene becomes progressively understanding and clear that Tony Montana goal is to become a
boss, by setting into motion plans to make his way into South Florida by any means necessary,
Montana at this time has taken on hit man jobs and started paddling narcotics for himself and his
crew, I feel as though the first scenes Tony Montana s cocky attitude broken English and demeanor
and disposition towards the police, introduced us to who Tony Montana was, at one point in this film
Tony Montana talks about Humphrey Bogart and a few other actors that portrayed gangsters and
gangster life style, he seemed to be admiring the gangster life style, in this scene you can almost see
the admiration within his eyes as he was telling the a story about them. This scene was brought to
light by the cinematographer who created a dim but dynamic lighting setting, the focal point was
directly on Al Pacinoas he was telling his story, the effective framing and captivating way that Al
Pacino portrays his character. There was another scene in Scarface
Uses Of A Foreign Language By Theresa Cha s Dictee
In the course of reading, the Asian American literature I was particularly amazed by the work
done by Theresa Cha in the book Dictee. Despite her Asian origin and the changing of the different
places they lived as immigrants, she tried her best to write about art and particularly the poems that
have attracted attention by literature scholars. Interesting is her use of mimicry to show the
difficulty of speech, her use of international race and nation conflicts to educate the readers as well
as her uniting idea of cheap nature of language and culture to show that integration is possible even
without the mastery of the native language of a place. In my essay, I endeavour to analyze Cha s
use of language in her poems, the stylistic devices she... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, most of them are unidentified and the reader may not identify a specific person that speaks in
the different chapters. Thus, the audience may understand it is an embodiment of females focusing
on structuring the major theme of the book, which is gender inequality. Additionally, the description
of the female characters is equivocal such that the reader has to picture the image of the women.
Although the author provides various photos in the book, there is absence of an explanation. Before
this, the writer only concentrates on telling the story (Kim,165). Additionally, the author uses poetic
approach to explain the setting in the book, which gives the novel distinct styles of writing. In fact,
the poems are only meant to provide the reader with a description of the mothers and daughters, and
this creates a distinction in the narrative. Resultantly, the audience perceives that when a poem
appears in the reading, the author is probably narrating the plight of women. Notwithstanding, the
novel uses visual art technique to communicate to the audience. in many instances, the author does
not provide a description of an individual such that the reader has to imagine the person. In doing so,
the readers are in suspense but the author offers a drawing that may be used to demystify the
situation. in support of this style, it is apparent that the visual art may have

An Analysis of E.E. Cummings Anyone Lived in a Pretty How Town

In reading this poem the first time, I had no clue as to what Cummings was speaking of.
However, after many times through and several on line readings, I believe that I have some
semblance as to what Cummings was trying to convey in this poem. In reading this poem through
on my own the first time, I saw Anyone as any person. However, Anyone is actually an individual,
as is Noone. Anyone is seen to be a happy person as in line 4, he is seen singing and dancing.
However, in contrast to him, were the women and men who not only didn t care for Anyone but
also are living a life of a boring routine. The men and women are also referred to as Someones and
Everyones. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I feel that this is just a little insignificant man in the eyes of the townspeople. The woman is not too
much in their eyes either. However, they have found each other and in finding each other, they have
found true love. They do not feel the need to go through the ceremony of marriage to show their
love for one another. You can see that they were in each other s lives for a long time because in
line 10 we see that the children who noticed their love are now adults. These children, as adults,
marry but not for love and we also see some of the die in line 20, they slept their dream . I see in
lines 25 30 that their love was so deep that when Anyone died it was not shortly after that Noone
also passed away.

It is a very sad life that I see for the other members in this community. Some of the children have
that innocence to see things very clearly. However, when they grow up, they lose it. Cummings
even states that only the snow can begin to explain how children are apt to forget to remember . I
take this line to mean that children are so innocent and fun loving when there is snow falling.
Children do not really have too many inhibitions as of yet, but when there is snow on the ground,
they lose the inhibitions that they had. Yet, as we age, we lose that innocence and fun, care free
nature that we once had. However, there are a few things that can bring that fun loving nature back
to many of us and that is
Anthem Summary Of Anthem
Anthem is about a man named Equality 7 2521 who finds a subway underneath his corrupt city to
learn. While he is down there he discovers the power of electricity and figures out how to use it.
When he tries to show his city they punished him and he ran away with The Golden One and found a
home which they wished to start a new life, but Equality found out to understand the word I and
finds out the truthbehind the Utopia he lived in for all his life. Anyone who is different gets
punished. The City has so many rules and controls because they are there to keep the people
unaware of the truth, to keep people down a certain path and to keep their Utopia a great place
and Equality would have many rules and controls. The first reason this city has so many rules is
that they want to keep everyone from finding out about the truth. The city and world leaders don t
want people to know about Ego because they re master plan to keep the society from worrying
about themselves and only be part a we and have nothing to do with I . If the people figure out
that life is not just about we and start helping ourselves, then there is no purpose to the city
anymore. Thinking about only people as a we and not I seems like a phenomenal idea, but not
everyone the same and we have to explore personally to do it. We are in all and all in one. There
are no men, but only the great WE, one indivisible and forever. (19) This shows that the people are
taught only we and know nothing of I. The

Downfall Of Macbeth Essay examples
The tragic downfall of Macbeth was not determined by one single cause. It was rather caused by a
combination of three dark forces: supernatural, external, and internal. Supernatural forces are
represented by the three witches and dark powers behind them. Lady Macbeth is an outer force that
pushes Macbeth towards the bloody deeds. Macbeth s own ambition acts as deciding power in
brining him to his downfall.

The very beginning of the play indicates that dark supernatural forces will be involved. Three weird
sisters are preparing a surprise for Macbeth, surprise that will eventually cost him life and the
salvation of his soul. Witches predictions play very important role in leading Macbeth to the evil
deeds. Witches are the first to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She never questions the necessity of Macbeth becoming king and never pays attention to
Macbeth s thoughts and opinion, just as mother would never care about her son s opinion about
the stupid homework. Macbeth s decision to quot;proceed no further in this business quot; (I.vii)
was not even considered as a possible outcome by her. Lady Macbeth uses all the methods she can
to convince her husband to murder Duncan. She uses Macbeth s love to her as an instrument
saying that if he will not kill the king he really doesn t love her. She asks him if he is a man, tells
him that he will be quot;so much more a man quot; after murdering Duncan. She gives Macbeth an
example of how resolute and cruel he should be telling him that she woman who is supposed to be
kind and compassionate would be able to kill her own child:

I would, while it [baby] was smiling in my face,

Have pluck d my nipple from his boneless gums,
And dash d the brains out, had I so sworn
As you have done to this.
(I.vii.61 64)

Lady Macbeth used the Macbeth s feelings towards her, his bravery, his ambitious nature, his vague
desires as tools to make Macbeth to do what she thinks will bring him success and satisfaction.

Witches and Lady Macbeth definitely tried to force Macbeth to kill Duncan and to continue the
sequence of terrible murders. However, Macbeth was not a weak willed puppet that others could
Subtypes Of Internet Addiction
In the previous decade, the growth rate of internet addiction is increasing all over the world
(Goel.D, et.al, 2013). In the urban India there were almost 5 million active users of internet present
as per 2000 stats but now as per 2008 it has been increased to 42 million active users of internet.
Adolescents are more likely to be vulnerable to internet addiction as compared to any other sections
of the society. This is because of the leisure and liberty children are exposed to these days. There are
many different aspects such as ease of internet use among adolescents, availability of time, unlimited
access to internet, curiosity to know more and psychological support that young one seeks through
their peers and online friends.

SELF ESTEEM AND INTERNET ADDICTION

Self esteem is defined as how an individual evaluate oneself. It is an individual s self worth how s
/he feels about oneself. It is also known to as how one approves or appreciates him or herself. It is
an effective response to one s description. Self esteem is the value that we consider how much we
worth ourselves. These values might differ from individual to individual. In psychology, this term
is used to understand an individual s sense of self worth and personal values. It is considered to be
the evaluation of one s own self concept. Self esteem is an effective response to one s description. It

Pathos In Advertising
In a day, the average American sees thousands of ads, the world is covered in them. Be it on TV,
in the daily newspaper or on the shopping cart one picks up at the grocery store, exposure to these
ads is inescapable. Most are these ads are harmless, wanting only to catch the attention of potential
customers and invest them in their product. The companies make use use of pathos ( for example
the Budweiser commercials with the puppy and horse), logos (the Geico 15 minutes could save you
15% or more... ), or ethos (Jamie Fox using his iPhone 6s in Apple s latest ads) to sell their product.
Some companies, however, employ extreme tactics to stand out. They create ads that target human s
natural inclination to use sex and violence. More often... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Within the advertisement they broadcast systemically reenforced and exaggerated a large
number of stereotypes about both men and women. Some may wonder, however, how this really
effects everyday life. If someone sees so many ads in a day what is one more, one that is just a
bit more sexist than the typical beer ad. While this it is true that the average person is
overstimulated by the number of ads as it is there is still something to be said for the content of
the ads. Even if a person doesn t mentally acknowledge them the brain still notes them and stores
them in the brain. If time after time one sees women in the submissive role or treated as objects,
chances are they will start subconsciously believing it. On the other hand if men are constantly
portrayed as stupid and hormone driven then that bias will start to seep into reality. There are
also significant moral issues with this ad, if time after time women are portrayed simply as a
visual feast it changes how they will be treated for the rest of their lives. Next time they walk
down the street theres a chance a man may catcall her, acknowledging the fact that she was in
some way appealing to him. He doesn t do this because she is smart, funny or kind he does this
simply because he was pleased by her appearance and may even think he is complementing her.
However, by doing this he reenforces what the media has

Three Girls and Their Quest to Find Themselves in the Face of Adversity:
An Analysis of The Princess Bride, Divergent and A Pair of Tickets and How Vampirism and
Quests make the stories what they are. Writing a story is difficult. In the stories The Princess Bride
by William Goldman and A Pair of Tickets by Amy Tan, and the movie Divergent Directed by Neil
Burger there are three very similar women who must find their path in life. In The Princess Bride,
Buttercup has to find her way to being with Westly, her true love. Despite the fact that she is

The action of vampirism is trying to exploit another, and usually the exploited one is female. In The
Princess Bride, William Goldman sets up many vampires to try and belittle the main character
Buttercup. Vizzini, Prince Humperdinck, and her father to name a few. They each play a role in her
adventure of life, but Prince Humperdinck is the largest vampire of the book. On their first meeting,
he greets her I am your Prince and you will marry me Humperdinck said (Goldman. 81). Straight
from the begging he subjects her to something she may not want simply because he is the prince.
He doesn t even say hello to her, which is a true sign of vampirism. Almost forcing someone
against their will to do something, more than likely sucking the life from her. He goes on to tell
her that Refusal means death (Goldman, 81). After his first attempt, she refuses, so he decides to
threaten her life. Foster, in his book depicts a vampire as An older figure representing corrupt,
outworn values (Foster,19). Goldman makes Humperdinck a prime example of a vampire, he
demands marriage, he keeps a zoo called The Zoo of Death full of animals from around the world
that are at his disposal to kill, he lies, cheats, and goes back on his word multiple times throughout
the book, so that he can have buttercup at his disposal. Don t forget he only likes her because she is
the most beautiful girl in Florin.
