Essay on Analysis of The Wrong Trousers
Analysis of The Wrong Trousers

The Wrong Trousers is a Clay Animation Production (where all characters are made out of clay).
Created by Nick Park (a famous Animator) in 1993, The Wrong Trousers stars Wallace and Gromit
in their second animated adventure (they were first introduced to British Viewers in 1990 in another
Nick Park production A Grand Day Out .) In this particular adventure we see how bad things can get
when technology gets into the wrong hands...

The Wrong Trousers was created by a clever technique called Clay Animation (Claymation). This
technique requires the use of Plasticine to create models for the entire animation cast, this being
things such as the Characters, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also I think that comedy can be found due to the naïveté of Wallace, for example his shock when
he realises that his Penguin lodger is actually the Chicken that has been robbing local banks, his
disguise? A red rubber glove. In my opinion these mixtures of comedy are funny without being
offensive to any cultural or ethnical groups. This means that both adults and children can enjoy The
Wrong Trousers as they can all take in something different from the film.

It is said that mans best friend is his Dog, and that leads me to a greatly influential character in the
Wallace and Gromit series, this of course being Gromit, the dog. I believe that his personification
has been cleverly done as it is not completely conspicuous, by this I mean that whilst Gromit is
granted Human qualities (such as the ability to read), his lack of a voice means that we do not
recognise him as a human, therefore leaving him with his canine status. Therefore, essentially
Gromit is a human yet isn t, he drinks tea, reads newspapers and even has his own dog specific
library of books but then he doesn t possess a voice. I think that
Effective Reading Interventions For Kids With Learning...
Throughout a child s life, he/she is faced with many obstacles. One of the biggest hurdles that they
must overcome is learning to read. For some children, that task does not come easy. Children with
learning disabilities struggle the most in school because they do not learn as quickly as children
without learningdisabilities. In an article by Kristin Stanberry and Lee Swanson called Effective
ReadingInterventions for Kids with Learning Disabilities, it discusses the different interventions that
teachers can use to improve the learning capabilities of students with learning deficits. Throughout
this essay, different topics will be discussed on how improve and increase word recognition skills
will benefit a child with learning disabilities, different ways to improve readingcomprehension skills,
and personal viewpoints on how these different methods are effective.
In this article, Swanson discusses how improving and increasing word recognition skills can be
beneficial to students with learning disabilities. Also, he concurred that there were three instruction
components that proved most effective in increasing word recognition skills in students with
learning disabilities. The three components were: sequencing, segmentation, and advanced
organizers. Some examples of sequencing are, having the child break an unknown word into separate
sounds or parts they can sound out, matching difficulty levels to the tasks and to the students, and
lastly using step by step prompts.
Analysis Of Emily Bronte s Wuthering Heights
Brontë also compares the characters indirectly, as she did the houses. Two very prominent
characters she displays in this way include Lockwood and Isabella. They are both fundamental
narrators in the work. Lockwood does so directly through his retelling of Nelly s recounting of the
story, and Isabella does so through her letter to Nelly explaining her relationship and life with
Heathcliffsoon after they were married. Although Isabella only briefly seen as a narrator, she and
Lockwood have various similarities in their styles and traits. Their similarities begin through their
experiences, which serve as a basis for their narration. Both characters have horrible first impressions
of Wuthering Heights. Lockwood s was through being... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lockwood can escape the problems easily, but Isabella can t because she lives them on a daily basis,
by being Heathcliff s wife.
Heathcliff also serves as a pivotal character used in comparison. Although Heathcliff is correlated to
various characters throughout the novel, the main one is Catherine. Their tendencies to act childish
in times of loneliness undermine their intelligence and evoke a sort of animosity from the audience.
Based on their lack of love throughout childhood from anyone but one another, both Heathcliff and
Catherine have turned to loneliness as a permanent resort to their obstacles in life. They both have
this overwhelming, self inflicted lack of social interest, yet they are constantly longing for company
(Levy 4). This serves as a detrimental trait they both possess, that ends up deteriorating them both in
various ways, and eventually completely. Their defense mechanisms are even presented as the
same, because when they re hurting or feel threatened due to another s actions, they basically retreat
and seclude themselves from everyone (Galef 5). Their loneliness, which is the basis for how they
treat others, serves as their overall similarity, and is something that is evident in all of their actions.
Characters aren t only presented in comparison to one another, but are also characterized themselves
in various ways. There are two characters that are

Maccabiah Bridge Collapse

Recap The Maccabiah bridge collapse occurred on July 14, 1997. This tragedy happened in Israel. It
took place in the town of Aviv. The bridge collapsed over a large river called the Yarkon River. The
bridge was constructed primarily of wood material. Also, some of the bridge was assembled of
rusty metal pipes that were tied together with wire. The bridge was designed for the Maccabiah
Games. The Maccabiah Games was first started in 1932. It was an athletic event held to celebrate
the Zionist Revolution. The games are open to all Israeli citizens and many people from all over the

This investigation took many months and cost the government a lot of money. The investigation
lasted nearly 2 years before finally coming to a conclusion. The incident occurred on July 14, 1997.
By the time the investigation was over and litigation was put into process, the government finally
convicted the ones responsible for wrongfully constructing the Maccabiah Bridge. Other secondary
stakeholders are the other athletes, the audience of the Maccabiah Games, which could be
compiled to be the public. The World Maccabiah Insurance Company and Lawyers are secondary
stakeholders because they are involved in the compensation and court hearings following the
disaster. Finally, the victim s families are also included as secondary stakeholders. The families are
the ones that suffered the most from the loss of their loved ones. If the bridge had been built
properly to withstand the proper weight, these four victims would still be alive today. Through this
analysis of the case, the perspectives taken will be that of the engineer and the committee that
planned the Maccabiah Games.
Technical Analysis Several factors contributed to the failure of the Maccabiah Bridge. Although
many accusations were made, it is essential to narrow the scope of the investigation in order to
efficiently analyze the event. As shown in the article The Bridge Too Far, the essential flaws in the
planning, designing, and construction of the bridge include failure to
Dr. W Edwards Deming
Dr. W. Edwards Deming was a well respected man because of his philosophy of management. He
viewed management as a tool for success in any organization. Dr. Deming was an expert
statistician and during World War II he helped the United States in its efforts to improve the quality
of war materials. After World War II, Dr. Deming was invited by Japan to help rebuild. Japan had
this reputation of producing cheap imitation products. Through the years and many visits by Dr.
Deming, Japan was able to produce qualityproducts. He is highly respected in Japan and respected
also in the United States. Dr. Deming views on management is still understood and still used today.

Deming believe that people want a sense of joy and pride in there work. Money is needed for
living but joy and pride is valued more. They want recognition more than the dollar. Along with
Dr. Deming, Herzberg believed that money is no motivator also. I know many people feel if they
got paid more than they would do more at their job. There are many who feel they are over
worked and not paid enough. They think if they were to receive more money, they would do a
better job. Dr. Deming and Herzberg would disagree. They would say that those employees do
not like there job and regardless what one would pay them, they still would not put forth their
best effort because money is not a motivator. Dr. Edward Deming also believed that a firm should
want to have strong competitors. His reasoning for saying this is to drive out fear. Better
competition leads to bigger and better expansion of the market. Customers needs are determined
by what the firm makes it. We did not ask for electricity, but we got it anyway. Now, most people
would not even dare to live without it. Although many would disagree with Dr. Deming and say
that it would be more beneficial for the company to be in a market with no strong competitors, Dr.
Deming would agree with that statement. It would be good for the company but for the economy
as a whole, it would not be good for. Even though these views are not commonly accepted, one may
begin to understand them if they are looked at in a

Brave New World Theme Analysis Essay
God isn t compatible with machinery and scientific medicine and universal happiness. So says
Mustapha Mond, the World Controller for Western Europe in Aldous Huxley s novel Brave New
World. In doing so, he highlights a major theme in this story of a Utopian society. Although the
people in this modernized world enjoy no disease, effects of old age, war, poverty, social unrest, or
any other infirmities or discomforts, Huxley asks is the price they pay really worth the benefits?
This novel shows that when you must give up religion, high art, true science, and other foundations
of modern life in place of a sort of unending happiness, it is not worth the sacrifice.

True, the citizens of this brave new world do enjoy many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One might be led to believe that this society is a perfect place to live, since all the inhabitants are
eternally happy. There are no wars, pain, or suffering, all definite pluses, yet readers must not judge
too quickly.

Everything comes at a price, and the price that is paid for the new order is sadly high, costing the
Utopians the benefits of high art, true religion, real science, and family life, which all have been
removed to promote stability. Othello s better than those feelies. Of course it isBut that s the price
we have to pay for stability. You ve got to choose between happiness and what people used to call
high art. We ve sacrificed the high art. We have the feelies and the scent organ instead. But they
don t mean anything, (Huxley 226) This conversation shows one of the tradeoffs made. Stories like
Othello are inspired by strong emotions, and Utopia has done away with them. Now, there is
nothing to write about, and if something was written along the lines of Othello it might cause
people to think, causing instability. The movies people see are idiotic and plotless, based solely on
sensations. Religion as we know it has been done away with also, as Mustapha Mond showed by his
comments quoted at the beginning of this paper. Religion usually involves self denial, and that is
contrary to everything the new society is based on. With instant gratification
My Trip On The California Health Care Facility Essay
For my discovery event, I went on a tour of The California Health Care Facility in Stockton. I
selected this event because I was very curious to know what it was like to work in a prison setting.
My desire for future work settings has been between a nursing facility and prison facility. Before the
visit I expected to know how a group was done in lower level prison and the safetyprecautions
implemented. The facility tour was lead by CTRS John Widenmann and Gaganjot Singh. The first
thing we toured was there medical mall building where all the prisons went to thee appointments for
physical therapyoccupational therapy, dentist, diagnostics, x rays and medical needs. John told
us that some inmates walk with out a guard because they have a card to specify where there
suppose to be. If they refuse to go to there appointment than force is used too make them. Along
the tour he mentioned that the rec therapists sees the inmate five time more in a week than other
members of a treatment team. We were able to visit a facilitation room, which had a class for
inmates to do artwork. One of the CTRS on staff mentioned that it is hard to have supplies for the
art projects. After touring the medical facilities, we walked a long way to the prison area, dorm
area and workspace where the recreation therapist ran groups. John showed us their offices that
over looked the play yard for some prisoners. This can be good for therapist to observe behaviors and
actions of the inmatesoutside
