Social Boundaries
As a result of this, hierarchies or other patterns of cooperation within the boundaries comes into
existence. In extreme cases, different boundaries are merged together, thus replacing independent,
already existing ones. During their advancement processes, a number of controversies confront the
social boundaries. For instance, they can be obstructed such that their existence and progress
becomes endangered. This usually happens when interaction fails to take place in a given group.
Tilly claimed this to be a major problem, since it becomes almost impossible and complicated to
know when the barriers become open, and allow free interactions to take place (Tilly 2005: 7, 32).
Secondly, he warned that sometimes it becomes unclear to detect when the boundaries lose their
importance and values. This uncertainty state about the tight closeness between confinements and
the society members can be confusing, since one can never know how deep the bound is and a
slight mistake can be the origin of complex difficulties in the society. Tilly clarifies the doubts
becomes easier to understand when people are unified after being divided either through wars,
conflicts and attacks (Tilly 2005: 213 229).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, Tilly, though he agreed to Barth s idea that the social boundaries should be fully
reseachered on and understood, since the constant shifts that takes place in them can be compared to
strong forces that enable boundaries to change their original forms and status. Although Tilly warns
that being in a position to comprehend the boundary construction systems is not an easy task, due to
the regular change thatoccurs to them. This adjustments are noted when certain situation of
circumstances challenge the social confinements (Tilly 2007:
Symptoms And Treatment Of Ptsd Veterans
It is evident that reforms are necessary within the VA system and society in regards to PTSD and
veterans. How can the American veterans be better taken care of? I will focus on the following four
specific issues that are in need of reform,
1.How can wait times be decreased for veterans seeking mental health treatment?
2.How can the stigma attached to PTSD in veterans be eliminated?
3.How can veterans receive immediate assistance in times of crisis?
4.How can we ensure that diagnosed PTSD veterans will continue treatment after receiving full
monetary compensation?
Focusing on these research questions, I propose to conduct research on decreasing wait times for
PTSD related appointments, reducing, or eliminating, the stigma attached to PTSD in veterans,
providing a way for veterans to receive immediate PTSD crisis help, and a way to ensure that
veterans diagnosed with PTSD continue treatment.
Veterans often experience long wait times to schedule an appointment for PTSD. Through additional
research I have found that according to a study in 2003 by the American Legion, of approximately
300,000 veterans waiting for health care, over half of them had been waiting over eight months for
an appointment (American Legion, 2013). I further researched how many VA facilities in the
United States offer specialized treatment for PTSD. In all 50 states, and Washington, DC, there are
a total of 139 facilities (US Department of Veterans Affairs, 2015). I propose to conduct a telephone
My Life Lesson Trough A Teacher s Eyes
The Life Lesson Trough a Teacher s Eyes, is a book written by Dr. Jillian Laderhouse. This book
is like a journal where Dr. Laterhouse tells personal experiences that have shaped her life. The book
commences off with a strongly affirmation where Dr. Latehouse states that be a teacher is her life s
calling. In the introduction of the book Laterhouse establish her foundation as a teacher, she
mentioned many experiences that shape her as a teacher and recall the fact that she lived in a
teacher professionfamily. She mentioned stories about her childhood, stories that have shaped her
life into the teacher profession; she stated I grew in a teacher s home . As I read the book I
noticed that I have not had the same opportunity as Laterhouse to live in a teacher s home.
However, as I continue reading the book I saw that the lessons learned by the author can help me
even though I did not grow in a teacher s home. It is evident in the book the spiritual life and God
centered life.

Laterhouse dived her book in seven lesson learned. Every lesson brings me to reflect about God,
about myself and about others. I consider that every lesson mentioned is important I will recall those
points that I consider important to my life. The first lesson learned was from parenting. As
Laterhouse mentioned as believers we have guidance available to us through prayer and Scripture,
but became believers does not automatically equip us with the insights and techniques to be a parent.

Freedom of the Press by George Orwell
George Orwell The Freedom of the Press (alternate preface) This book was first thought of, so far
as the central idea goes, in 1937, but was not written down until about the end of 1943. By the
time when it came to be written it was obvious that there would be great difficulty in getting it
published (in spite of the present book shortage which ensures that anything describable as a book
will sell ), and in the event it was refused by four publishers. Only one of these had any ideological
motive. Two had been publishing anti Russian books for years, and the other had no noticeable
political colour. One publisher actually started by accepting the book, but after making the
preliminary arrangements he decided to consult the Ministry... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It is not exactly forbidden to say this, that or the other, but it is not done to say it, just as in mid
Victorian times it was not done to mention trousers in the presence of a lady. Anyone who
challenges the prevailing orthodoxy finds himself silenced with surprising effectiveness. A
genuinely unfashionable opinion is almost never given a fair hearing, either in the popular press
or in the highbrow periodicals. At this moment what is demanded by the prevailing orthodoxy is
an uncritical admiration of Soviet Russia. Every one knows this, nearly everyone acts on it. Any
serious criticism of the Soviet régime, any disclosure of facts which the Soviet government would
prefer to keep hidden, is next door to unprintable. And this nation wide conspiracy to flatter our
ally takes place, curiously enough, against a background of genuine intellectual tolerance. For
though you are not allowed to criticize the Soviet government, at least you are reasonably free to
criticize our own. Hardly anyone will print an attack on Stalin, but it is quite safe to attack
Churchill, at any rate in books and periodicals. And throughout five years of war, during two or
three of which we were fighting for national survival, countless books, pamphlets and articles
advocating a compromise peace have been published without interference. More, they have been
published without exciting much disapproval. So long as the prestige of the USSR is not involved,
The Importance of a Single Authorship of Isaiah
INTRODUCTION
The Importance of a Single Authorship of Isaiah
When a critic attacks the authorship of Isaiah, it is like the devil putting his foot in the door.
Modern criticism has cast doubt on the Bible. The written Word of God is a battlefield and many a
skeptic has tried to dethrone the Bible claiming it is just another book.
Denying a single authorship of Isaiah:
1. Casts doubt on the written Word of God
2. Makes Jesus appear ignorant when He said Isaiah wrote the scroll of Isaiah
3. Promotes skepticism about the authorship of other books
4. Makes Paul appear ignorant in quoting from Isaiah
5. Makes New Testament writers appear ignorant quoting from Isaiah
A Brief Overview of the Book of Isaiah
As a whole, Isaiah can be divided into three main parts:
Isaiah 1 35 describes Messiah as a mighty Ruler and King
Isaiah 36 39 relates to the times of Hezekiah
Isaiah 40 66 describes the Messiah as the meek and lowly Servant of the LORD
Some scholars feel that Isaiah 1 35 and Isaiah 40 66 must be works of different authors. The first
part of Isaiah reveals a Messiah who is a mighty Ruler and King. The last part of Isaiah reveals a
meek and lowly Messiah who is a suffering victim. This shift from a mighty ruler to a suffering
victim, make some critics feel there are at least two authors to Isaiah. Other critics claim that
certain portions of Isaiah 13:24 27 and certain verses in Isaiah 14 and 21 were also written by
someone other than Isaiah. Therefore, according to
Human Impact On Humans And Chimpanzees
The chimpanzee is one of the most interesting mammals on this earth. These animals are the cousins
of humans. According to the National Geographic chimpanzees share 98% of our DNA . This in
relative terms make humans and chimpanzees very alike, we are them and they are us. The
chimpanzee population inhabitants Africa. Although many believe that chimpanzees are monkeys,
they are great apes. (savethechimps.org). The chimpanzeepopulation in the last few years has
diminished drastically and this has cause them to become endangered species. Like humans the
chimpanzees lives in communities they also have a hierarchy, and they consume a diet of
vegetables, meats and fruits. (savethechimps.org).
Although humans and chimpanzee are considered relatives, humans are one of the biggest threats to
the great ape. Humans are one of the biggest reasons the chimpanzee are endangered. According to
World Wildlife poaching is one of the biggest threats. Poaching means to hunt, kill and then consume
the chimpanzees. This gruesome act is usually done by wealthy urban residents who desire to eat
bushmeat. This is an expensive luxury that is costing the chimpanzee their lives and is significantly
decreasing their population. Another unlawful act happening to these great apes, their young babies
are being captured and sold for recreational pets.
The Scientific American discuss the illegal acts of the criminals who hurt these beautiful animals.
Even though many chimpanzees are captured to be

If all exchange rates remained equal they would have reported a decline in profit of 1.0% which is
a result of the world economies. The Unilever Group s report on ice cream stated that they saw
volume growth and share gains in most markets. Specifically they saw a strong performance in
Western Europe, Mexico, Indonesia and Australia. Much of this growth was due to the Magnum
Gold acquisition and the marketing of this product in these markets. Product quality improvements
helped their Klondike line achieve strong results in the U.S.A. The Unilever Group maintained a
negative price growth in ice cream. The negative price growth reflected slightly lower gross
margins, at constant currency, with commodity costs higher. According to Market Line a leading
business information company, in 2007, the companies with the largest shares in the ice cream
business was Unilever, Nestle and General Mills. The breakdown is as follows: This chart
demonstrates the amount of market share Unilever had among its competitors during 2007.

What Is The Us Involvement In Vietnam
The United States became involved in Vietnam both militarily and politically during World War 2. At
the start of World War 2, the Japanese seeking to exploit the vast amount of resources of south east
Asia, occupied by the French Indo China. Between, 1941 1945 the only effective resistance to the
Japanese in French indo china was the Vietnamese communist known as the Viet Minh. To help the
Viet Minh, their leader Ho chi minh fight the Japanese, the United Statessupplied the Viet Minh with
arms and ammunition, and in return the Viet Minh supplied the United States with military
intelligence concerning the Japanese and help rescue downed American pilots. By 1945 the Viet

But Vietnam was not unique and Ho chi minh voice was but one of many. From China to Malaya,
From Burma to the Philippians, throughout the Asiatic colonies of Britain, France, the
Netherlands and the United States, they ran a fever of Nationalism and willingness among the
people to take up arms to gain independence. But for Vietnam s independence this did not come.
For after the War in contrast to its stated policy, the United States supported France in her bid to
regain her loss colony of indo china. In return, France agreed to support the U.S. post war policies
in Europe, policies designed to keep in check the Soviet Union. By early 1946 all Allied forces had
withdrawn from indo china, leaving France to oppose Ho chi minh s new government in
How Does Winton Churchill Use Rhetorical Devices
Winton Churchill uses rhetorical devices in order to communicate his message to his listeners.
Unlike facts and evidence, rhetorical devices are often based in emotion and perception, and they
can be both manipulative and inspirational. Some devices he uses are repetition, parallelism, and
analogy. Parallelism is an identical sentence or phrase patterns used to express ideas that are closely
related. In this example, Churchill uses parallelism within the structure of the sentence. Repetition is
a rhetorical strategy that emphasizes ideas for clarity or emotional effect. In this example, Churchill
repeats the words we shall fight to emphasize the idea that the British will never give up or
surrender. An analogy is a comparison of two things.
The Domino Effects Of The Great Depression
Have you ever had a time in your life where you were struggling with money? And times just kept
getting more and more rough on you? It was a domino effect on your life, first you don t pay your
phone bill and the phone is shut off. Then, your internet or water bill. Well, that was basically how
the Great Depressionhappened, it was all a domino effect on some families. The Great Depression
happened between 1929 and 1939. It started after the stock market crashed in October of the first
year. Over many years, the amount of money that people spent and the investments people made
dropped dramatically. The industrial output and employment as failing companies laid off workers.
