How Did Martin Luther King Jr Clinton Civil Rights Change
During the life of John H Wallace, an African American professor and author/critic, many African
American men and women made great contributions to America by either advancing civil rights or
making major impacts in science, government, sports, or entertainment. Famous athletes like Jesse

Leaders like Roy Wilkins, Walter White, Emmett Till, Ella Baker, Martin Luther King Jr, Malcolm

President Bush was open to progressing minority groups but he made few attempts to change the
conservative direction of the past civil rights policies. Actual change did not come about until
Clinton s presidency when he gave several apologies to minority groups who had been
discriminated against and mistreated by American society and government throughout history. He
publicly honored 9 black students who led the effort for segregation in the public schools in 1957.
Clinton s main goals during his presidency was to create a unified and integrated society that
allowed harmony between races. His reformist outlook allowed great improvements to be made in
the decade; however, unity had not been achieved yet.
Despite hip hops popularity in our culture during the 1980 s many people disagreed with its
messages and how it portrayed black youths. Many artist struggled with being good role models for
African American youths. Money and fame got the best of most artists but the popularity of
gangster life portrayed in hip hop was frowned upon. There was no turning back though for their
talents won over American society and a new era was beginning. African Americans made music
history and film history fighting against racial stereo types and set an example for younger
Calfee And CAFE Standards
CAFE is an acronym for Corporate Average Fuel Economy. As stated in, Will Corporate Average
Fuel Economy Help, CAFÉ standards became prevalent by Congress in 1975 after the oil crisis of
the 1970 s. These standards were proposed in order to help the United States depend less on foreign
oil (Sen et al. 2017, p. 279). The idea of CAFÉ standards does not only help us rely less on foreign
oil, but it also reduces greenhouse gasemissions. Below general information about CAFÉ and the
CAFÉ standards that are current today will be described. As described above, CAFÉ was first
introduced after the 1973 oil crisis. Congress needed to find solutions to reduce our reliance on oil
imported from other countries. CAFÉ requires car and light truck... Show more content on

Today, lightweight cars are not seen as an issue because of the advancements we have made in
technology. However, during the mid 1970 s to 1980 s, consumers were correlating that the rise in
automobile fatalities was correlated to CAFÉ s standards with fuel efficiency. During this time of
concern, it was concluded that better fuel efficiency could be accomplished by technologies that
were available at the time and these technologies would not change the weight of the automobile
(Schmidt 2002, pg.468). Technology is always advancing. During the time of safety concerns,
people did not necessarily realize that improved technology would be launched in the years to come
(Bezdek and Wendling 2003, p. 409).
How have CAFÉ standards progressed and what are the requirements for new car models? Starting
in May of 2010, former President Barack Obama, the National Highway Traffic and Safety
Administration (NHTSA), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), all administered Final
Rules for automobiles built in 2017 through 2021 (United States Department of Transportation
2014). The regulations were aimed towards CAFÉ and Greenhouse Gas emissions for cars and
light trucks. Along with cars and light trucks, there were also regulations set in place for medium
and heavy duty trucks. The only difference is that the heavier trucks are years 2014 to 2018. Cars
and light trucks will have to have an average,
Utopia And Leviathan
Thomas More sUtopia and Thomas Hobbes Leviathan each offer alternatives to the worlds in
which they lived.. More s society, viewed through the character Hythloday, is seemingly based on
man s nature in society being generally good, and the faults of man emanate from how society
itself is set up. Hobbes takes the opposite view of human nature, where man s will to survive
makes him unable to act out of goodness and it is man who is responsible for society s ills.
Both Leviathan and Utopia contain faults in logic that work to undermine the very possibility for
these new social structures. In the following I will show how each of their views for a new society
give insight into what their beliefs of human nature are, while showing some ... Show more content

Close inspection of these rules give insight into how More may have really viewed human nature. In
the following excerpts we find evidence that More may have found man untrustworthy and in need
of social control, or at the very least spiritual control.
The vast majority of Utopians ¦ believe in a single power, unknown, eternal, infinite, inexplicable,
far beyond the grasp of the human mind, and diffused throughout the universe, not physically but
in influence. Him they call father, and to him alone they attribute the origin, increase, progress,
change, and end of all visible things; they do not offer divine honors to any other. ¦ (Utopus) left
the whole matter (choosing a religion) open, allowing each person to choose what he would
believe. The only exception was a positive and strict law against anyone who would sink so far
below the dignity of human nature as to think that the soul perishes with the body, or that the
universe is ruled by blind chance, not divine providence. ¦ Therefore a man who holds such views
is offered no honors, entrusted with no offices, and given no public responsibility, he is universally
regarded as a low and sordid fellow (pp.516 518 This excerpt shows the ambivalence that More
has about human nature. He sees man as essentially good but whenever an individual has ideas of
their own they are regarded as inferior. This creates another
Bathroom Persuasive Essay
Did you know that as of June 2016 an estimated 1.4 million adults in the U.S. are transgender? In
2015 the National Center for Transgender Equality conducted a survey that had 27,715 transgender
participants. 59 percent (16,352) of participants said they avoid the bathroom out of fear of
violence. A third of the 59 percent (5,450) reported that they would even limit food and water to
avoid the restroom. There should be genderneutral bathrooms open to the public.
Provided that even if it is a single stall bathroom there should be a gender neutral restroom. Using
the restroom is an everyday activity, and many people take it for granted. But for some people it
isn t an option or safe. In a 2015 study 16,352 of 27,715 people avoided using the restroom because
of fear of bathroom confrontations, assaults or even rape. Out of the 325.7 million population of the
U.S. there are 1.4 million transgender adults, not counting all the transgender youth in america. ...

Dark Life Research Paper
The best book is one that makes you live the life of the character. I have only read a few books like
these. However, I hope to read many more throughout my lifetime.
One amazing way reading has changed is just my short lifetime is the digitalization of almost all
books. When I was very young I faintly recall going to Barnes and Nobles to actually buy a book,
now I get everything I read online. My inability for a long time to reread any book made my
parents find a cheaper way for me to read. When I was nine I got my first ever tablet, a Kindle
Fire, this one thing completely changed how I have read from then on. I never went to the library
again to get a book after I received this Kindle. I got all my reading materials from amazon and
still do today. This allowed me to read many more books faster and much cheaper than in the past.

I reread the book Dark Life by Kat Falls, and it was much better than I expected. The book focuses
on a child named Ty that lives under the sea in the relative near future. The book follows him
through some of his many adventures, and his blossoming love life. One reason I chose to reread
this book was because it made me feel as if I was actually living Ty s life. I originally read Dark
Life about a two and a half years ago and I liked it then, yet I realized some of the subtle jokes and
themes passed over me. One major theme that I did not notice as much when I first read it was
how the romance progressed. It progressed in the cliche romantic novel way which led you to
realize that this author is not a romance writer. Another major theme that was more somber was
how corrupt the government is portrayed in the book. The government in the book very closely
resembles the one we have today. Rereading one of my first books turned out to be a much more
enjoyable experience than I expected it to
The Role Of Ruth In The Giver
The LORD bless him! Naomi said to her daughter in law. He has not stopped showing his
kindness to the living and the dead. She added, That man (Boaz) is our close relative; he is one of
our kinsman redeemers (Ruth 2:20). This scripture exposes Boaz as a candidate to be the kinsman
redeemer of Ruth and her deceased husband s family. From the land of Moab, gleaning in the fields
of Boazand to the threshing floor the story finds its purpose in Boaz, the kinsman redeemer. While
there are so many influential figures in the Bible, I argue that Boaz is of great importance because
of he becomes the kinsman redeemer, he acts in redemption, and the lineage of Ruth and her
deceased husband is carried on all while foreshadowing Christ and things to come.... Show more

Boaz has met the qualifications to become the kinsman redeemer, he is blood relatice of Ruth and
he was willing to redeem. Boaz was a male relative of the same kin, so this made him a possibility
to be the kinsman redeemer. Boaz wanted to redeem the property of Elimelech (Ruth s deceased
husband) and Ruth so that it would restore honor to the family. This was also a gracious act because
it saved Ruth from almost certainly a life of poverty. This shows that the gracious nature of Boaz
makes him an influential figure in the
Pierre Trudeau s Accomplishments
The past is to be respected and acknowledged but not to be worshipped. It is our future in which
we find our greatness. These words were written by Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, who
paved the way for the great Canadian future present today. Pierre Elliott Trudeau was an
indispensable leader who guided Canadato greatness, he brought biculturalism and bilingualism to
Canada, believed in equality and protecting human rights. Pierre Elliott Trudeau s accomplishments
paved the way for a greater Canadian future because he became the leader Canada needed for

Trudeau fought for Canada to be a country of many languages and cultures, he did this by
introducing The Official Languages Act. In 1969 Trudeau established The Official Languages Act,
this made English and French the official languages of Canada. It required all federal institutions to
provide services in English and French. The Act was passed on the recommendation of the Royal
Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism on 7 September 1969. The act was to ensure respect
and equality of all rights and privileges as to their use in all federal institutions. The act supported
the development of English and French linguistic minority communities and advanced the equality
of English and French languages within Canada s society. Trudeau truly lead Canada to success and
wanted the nation to become more diverse. Trudeau noted, Bilingualism means you can speak to the
other; duality means you live in one language and the rest of Canada will live in another language.
Trudeau strongly pushed for Canada to be Bilingual and thought it would make Canada stronger as a
country. Trudeau felt that Quebec had to be less isolated and that it would allow French Canadians to
maintain their culture while playing part in a key role in Canada. It was because of Pierre Elliott
Trudeau that Canada kept peace amongst everyone and continued to be a united country. Trudeau
made Canada better by bringing
Defining Nosql Database And Its Classification Essay
Introduction
The rapid growth in the world of technology has influenced the way we communicate, shop, learn,
and share information. The development of technology led database analysts and administrators
to find more convenient ways to store the big amount of data. Big data is known as expression in
the tech world. It is defined as a huge collection of data that cannot be managed by relational
databases (Moniruzzaman and Hossain 1). So, developers start to use non relational databases
(NoSQL) to arrange and store the Big data. In order to understand how developers solve the
storing issue of the big amount of data and provide systems that can sync data between multiple
devices, we need to start with a brief background of NoSQL databases to understand Couchbase
system. The purpose of this paper is to define NoSQL database, compare it with SQL database,
define Couchbase and describe how Couchbase is synchronizing data between multiple devices,
especially Couchbase Mobile.
The outline of this paper consists of the following sections. Section 1 introduces NoSQL database
and its classifications. Section 2 gives a brief comparison between NoSQL database and SQL
database. Section 3 explains document oriented databases. Section 4 defines Couchbase. Section 5
describes Couchbase Mobile and provides an example of its use in synchronizing data between
multiple mobile devices.
Definition of NoSQL Databases

Summary Of Jerry Spinelli s Staying In My Yo-Yo String
In the chapter, Staying In The Lines , from the autobiography Knots In My Yo Yo String by Jerry
Spinelli, the author describes his neatness as a boy. In the chapter, Jerry Spinelli gives many
examples of how he strove to be perfect in his childhood and how it influenced him as he
matured. To begin with, Jerry was neat in ways by his precise cutting. In the first paragraph on
page 94, the paragraph is describing how jerry cut. He would measure the line with a ruler, draw
it over with a pencil and then he would cut out his shape. This shows Jerry was neat because he
didn t want his cutting to be sloppy, he wanted it well put together. Another reason why Jerry was
neat is, on page 95 when he was saying how he used colored pencils instead of crayons. He said, ...
the frequently sharp points never strayed out of the lines . This also shows he was neat because a
crayon is a thick piece of colorful wax that is rubbed on a paper to make the color stand out. It is
also a lot thicker than a colored pencil. This means that he prefers a colored pencil because the tip
never goes out of the line... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Like his locker, on page 95. One day his homeroom teacher announced that the classes lockers
were going to be reviewed for neatness. Since I kept my locker neat at all times, there was
nothing for me to tidy up. The homeroom teacher put names on the blackboard for all the lockers
who failed to pass muster. Shockingly, my name was among them. This shows that Jerry didn t
even bother to check to make sure his locker was neat because he knew how neat he was already
that he didn t have to just take a quick look to see if it was still neat. Another time Jerry was
attempting to be neat is when he said on page 95, Give me a direction, I followed it. Put a rule in
front of me, I obeyed it. This shows he was neat because he wanted to be perfect, never get in
trouble, do what he was supposed to. He was being different in a good
Exothermic Reaction
In this report 3 fuels, ethanol, pentan 1 ol and 1 butanol were tested to determine the experimental
heat of combustion and to decide which would be the best fuel to take on a camping trip.
Combustion takes place when fuels react with oxygen to produce heat (E inst.com, 2015). The heat
created by the burning of fuel is used in the operation of equipment such as boilers and furnaces, as
well as heat being produced, when reactants undergo combustion CO2 (carbon dioxide) and H2O
(water) are formed as byproducts of the exothermic reaction (E inst.com, 2015).
Exothermic reactions occur when the forming of a chemical bond releases energy therefore creating
an exothermic process (Kentchemistry.com, 2015). An exothermic reaction has a negative deltaH,
because the enthalpy of the products is lower than the enthalpy of the reactants of the system
(Chemwiki.ucdavis.edu, 2015). An Endothermic reaction absorbs energy in the form of heat. In an
endothermic reaction deltaH is positive because the enthalpy of the products is higher than the
enthalpy of the reactants in the system (Chemwiki.ucdavis.edu, 2015).
Enthalpy is the amount of heat used/released in a system at constant pressure.

Ethanol is also known as bioethanol is a sustainable liquid transport fuel derived from biomass
(Biofuels Association of Australia, 2015). Ethanol has many different uses such as in industry (as

Arana And Homosexuals
The article was so intriguing to read because as short as it was, it could have been a whole book.
In the article, he leads us into the beginning where his mother found out he was gay and that was
the beginning of his journey. The way his parents reacted is the way a lot of parents react to the
point where kids in this society think that s the only reaction people should be having. Arana (2012)
addresses how his parents wanted to fix him and turn him back into normal . She even ended up
taking him to see a psychiatrist where his moto is about turning people back into their normal
mindset . However, what exactly is normal? Who legit has the power to determine where the line
gets cut? Because after all that hardship Arana went through, he eventually became in control of his
thoughts. I know growing up, the word gay or lesbian was not something that was discussed in my

The radar system and the capability that Saddam Hussein sustained was thought to be pretty
substantial, from a preservation of force stand point they needed the capability to destroy this
radars to accomplish the mission. The mission could only be accomplish with a low level attack
so the mission called Normandy was given to the 1 101st to use the Apache Helicopters with their
Hellfire Missiles. LTC Cody, the 1 101st commander during that time, designed the mission by
taken key elements from each flight company and created a task force Task Force Normandy to

during the next few months and prepared the eight AH 64 crews for the mission. They also
conducted the first ever live fire exercise with the extended range fuel tanks installed on an Apache.
