Top Five Personal Values Essay
Values are intangible things that are important to us, and that guide us, individually, to make
decisions. Each person has a different set of values, morals, and ethics, which is the reason that each
person handles a situation differently. Here, I will discuss my top 5 values, and why they are
important to me.
The one thing that I regard as most valuable is my religion Christianity. I truly cherish the ability
to communicate to God through prayer, because I believe that it is a very powerful phenomenon.
The example Jesus set for us when he was on this planet is another incredible thing; while reaching
the level of perfection that He did is impossible, his standard gives me motivation to do good in the

They teach me how I should serve and love others, by setting an excellent example of kindliness and
enthusiasm. A family atmosphere is one of cooperation, support, and reassurance. Therefore, they
give me strength and guidance to do everything well, without regret. My friends are extremely
similar; they are lights in the dark and constant helpers in difficult circumstances. They, too, often
help point me in the right direction, and offer suggestions to better me in any way they can.
Unfortunately, the way that the world functions is that some are better off than others, which is why
I value being able to help people. The Bible gives us a difficult challenge to, as often as possible,
stop thinking about ourselves and put the needs of others before our own. While this can be
difficult to do because it often involves self sacrifice, it is always worth any expended effort
because, as Jesus said, when we serve our neighbor, we also serve Him. Aiding others in their
situations may not always be the easy way out or the cool thing to do, but that is the beauty of the
action often, there is no better feeling than to lay down all your personal concerns to help somebody
else.
The value of freedom can sometimes be difficult to appreciate when we live in such a great country,
we tend to put a bubble around ourselves that prevents us from realizing the ways in which others
are oppressed. However, the right to creatively express
How To Get Away With Murder Character Analysis
ABC s new breakout show How to Get Away With Murder is a new legal drama series that
features a fierce female lead played by Viola Davis. The show is an amazing and suspenseful
show with a fascinating plot all while keeping us on our toes with its powerful female lead. How
to Get Away with Murder revolves around a criminal law professor of a prestigious university in
Pennsylvania, Annalise Keating, and her select group of students as they get tangled in a murder
plot of their own. The characters in the show are all about defending other people for justice, while
they have gone and committed sins of their own. The show is a great representation of racial and
sexual minorities with its strong female character and a diverse cast of unique supporting... Show

Keating is a deeply flawed character who is simply riveting; you can t take your eyes off of the
powerful woman as she is on screen. She holds an appearance of a woman who gets what she
wants, but as the show progresses, viewers see that she can fall apart, especially in matters that
involve her relationship with her husband. He was barely able to get into law school, being
accepted off the school s wait list, but he later proves to be a natural born leader in law and
murder. He is one of the few characters who truly makes the show interesting with his funny and
witty comebacks. Michaela Pratt, a smart young woman who does everything in her power to
impress Keating and serves as Connor s competition. Her character makes us hate her and feel pity
towards her as she crumbles and falls apart within the show. As the show moves along we see that
good can turn to bad. She has a change in traits that make her boring character more interesting.
Asher Millstone, another one of Annalise s law students who has been getting through life through
his father s riches. His character doesn t offer much excitement to the show except a funny joke now

To Kill A Mockingbird Theory Essay
A Mockingbird is a grayish songbird found in tropical America. The book to Kill A Mockingbird
says that it is a sin to kill a Mockingbird. (Lee 103) In the story To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper
Lee, Scout is a young girl who has a pretty good life in Maycomb Alabama. But her curiosity began
when Dill came to Maycomb for the summer and she started becoming more interested in Boo
Radley and why he always stays in his house. But then the story takes an unexpected turn when
Atticus takes the Tom Robinson trial and Scout starts to see that this world is crueler than she
thought and she starts to question everything she even knew. Throughout To Kill A Mockingbird, the
mockingbird theory shows us that some people are like mockingbirds by... Show more content on

After Jem and Scout got attacked. Jem is brought home, Scout running behind, to see a doctor due
to his broken arm. While Atticus, Heck Tate, and Scout our in Jem s room. Boo Radley appears
from the shadows to see how Jem is. Scout tells Boo Radley to pat Jem s head, and Boo Radley
does. This shows that Boo Radley is showing the mockingbird theory because he comes to the Finch
s house because he cares about the kids and wants to make sure that everything is alright.

Tom Robinson expresses the mockingbird theory in many ways. My first example is when he
helped Mayella Ewell with stuff around the house. When Tom Robinson was talking at his trial, he
told the court that he would help Mayella with stuff around the house while he was walking to
work or walking home. While Tom was criticized for helping her, he says, I was trying to help her
out suh, (Lee 224.) This shows that Tom Robinson is showing the mockingbird theory because even
though Mayella was a different race than him, he still helped her out around the house because he
was innocent and caring.
Another way that Tom models the mockingbird theory is when Tom is holding his anger about the
trial. This one is a little harder to see. But most of the people at the trial were showing anger towards
Tom Robinson. When he went up to speak, even after sitting through all of that, he still is pretty
calm taking into account the situation he is in. This shows the mockingbird theory because
Pros And Cons Of Filing A Whistleblower Suit
In my opinion, filing a whistleblower suit is definitely not for the faint of heart. There is definitely
anxiety and stress associated with uncovering and eventually reporting alleged fraud. In an effort to
prevent the whistleblower from revealing the lawsuit to anyone, whistleblower or qui tam cases are
generally filed under court seal. This means the relator cannot discuss the case with family, friends or
co workers until the government has completed their investigation and can oftentimes be difficult on
the person bringing the evidence to light, as this may bring about feelings of isolation. The
government uses the seal to their advantage in order to covertly investigate any and all allegations
surrounding the whistleblowers
Analysis Of The Blackbird Calls In Grief
Irish poetry is a special and distant literary genre. The many aspects of folklore and tradition
evident in the poetry create unmistakably Irish verse. This evident in three poems from The New
Oxford Book of Irish Verse: poem 67 referred to as The blackbird calls in grief , poem 108
referred to as There are three , and All That is Left... by Michael Hartnett. Death is the topic of
numerous poems throughout history, however, these poems address the taboo topic in an
authentic and unpredictable fashion. Through verse, death is given a new exploration without
cliché. This is accomplished using Irish voice, nature, and religion. The blackbird calls in grief is
an anonymously written poem from the twelfth century. The narrator laments the death of loved
ones. In the poem, the narrator begins by lamenting to a blackbird. He mourns the passing of
both the birds and his own family. The bird is personified and the two share in their grief. The
harm now happened to him/ not long since happened to me (Kinsella 85). An analogy is created
equating the loss of the two families and the injustice of the loss. The bird is removed from the
poem after the sixth stanza, the grief is only the narrators to bare. The seventh stanza questions
God, O You who made the world, / Your bias is hard to bear:/ friends all around me are spared,
/ their woman and young survive (Kinsella 86). This poem is distinctive compared even to more
modern poems. This is perhaps why the author chose to remain

Marbles Research Paper
Marbles are small round glass toys. They are also a great tool in recognizing the little irritations
in life and working the forgiveness muscles. Fill up a container of marbles. It should probably be
a large one in the beginning. You may not use them all, but you do not want to run out. When
something irritates you or makes you angry, upset with a situation or person, move one of the
marbles to your pocket. The marbles must stay in your pocket until you are ready to do your
evening exercise just before bed. Okay, lets assume you are home now with your pockets full of
marbles. Take out one marble at a time. See if you can remember the reason for that marble, it
doesn t have to be the exact one. Now, is it worth carrying this marble around
The Importance Of Symbolizing A Monument
A monument is a statue, building, or any other type of structure that is made to represent something
with historical importance, and or someone who has made an impact in the world that has affected
many people. There are many different ways to memorialize a person or an event, from having a day
to remember them, to having a monumentbuilt in remembrance for who deserves to be remembered.
But, there are also certain factors a group or an agency should consider while memorializing an event
or person and in creating a monument. Things to consider while creating a monument is the location
and why is should be placed there, how the community feels about the monument and it will affect
the community, and also the costs of the monument.
Location is a very important thing to consider for a monument for the reason that you wouldn t just
place a monument in an area where is has no significance to the community or any sentimental
value. As stated in Source A, Why make a pilgrimage to a site with no historical significance to
read a text that was already everywhere? (Savage, Kirk) What Kirk Savage means when stating this
is that it would be fatuous to place a memorial in an area with no significance to that event and or the
person which the monument is symbolizing. For example Source E encounters many

Working As An Intern Caring For Patients With Cancer On...
Reflection Assignment Working as an intern caring for patients with cancer on the Adjunctive
Cancer Care (ACC) shift at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic (RSNC) for this past year has
been a great learning experience. Although it had its own unique set of challenges, it has been a
real privilege to be a trusted part of the patients care experience. With the privilege of being a part
of patient s health care teams, there were many challenging aspects working with terminally ill
patients. I initially found it hard to fully commit to the therapeutic relationship; I wanted to
maintain some form of internal boundary to protect myself emotionally. I found as time when
on, I was more willing to open up and exposure my emotional vulnerability in order to fully meet
their needs and be there for the patient. It is a delicate balance trying to be there fully for your
patient, care for them to the fullest extent, as well as attempting to protect my own emotions and
feelings. There is a give and take to this balance, and it evolved as the relationship with the patient
evolved and my ease in the role of an intern matured. I have patients who are as close as a friend
now, after a year of working together. I am sad to be ending our therapeutic relationship due to the
end of my internship, I am also sad that I won t be having contact these patients anymore, or being
kept up to date with their health. It is a strange finality to our working relationship; I am not yet sure
how it will
