The Benefits of Educational Values
When I was in elementary school I always had the thought What was the purpose of education,
what can we do with it? ; Never having an idea of the benefits gained from being concealed in a
large building with 300 other students. The view of school was more considered a daycare meant
for children, to be dropped off at 8am and then picked up at 3pm. Teachers would inform the
students that they re preparing us for the future. I partially understood what it meant because
everything we learned was repetitive, boring and seem so distant from what I wanted to achieve. At
the time I wanted to become a doctor and everything taught wasn t related to it. Until the thought of
college anchored my mind in high school, everyone was getting good grades just to attend college
and Universities so soon enough, I sat down with my advisor and thats the moment when I
understood why educationis vital to our growth. My advisor said education opens your eyes to a
wider world, it also gives opportunities for a brighter future. Without education there will no
progress in any field of growth like medicine, engineering, it will all remain the same for centuries.
Along the way up the educational ladder, attending college revolutionized my view on education.
Not only was it just meant for the greater welfare of a person but it affects us as a whole by having
a potential for economic gain and new discoveries. Not all educational growth happens in an
academic environment, some may be learned through
Pursuit Of Happyness Sociology
The film The Pursuit of Happyness is a biography based on the life of Chris Gardner, who is
played by the actor Will Smith. Will Smith portrays a hardworking father who is struggling to sale
bone density scanners to the local hospitals, while trying to make ends meet for his family. After
his wife leaves, he is left to raise his 5 year old son Christopher alone. Making it clear to those
around him, it is obvious that he is among the working poor class and cannot meet the basic
human needs (absolute), he can barely pay bills to keep his home, can hardly provide food, and
has a rough time being able to keep his son in daycare. Being a part of the working poor class
means that you have little power, income and prestige. There were many sociological... Show more

Jay proceed to tell Chris several times that he was not capable of completing the cube until Chris
handed it back to him leaving Jay speechless. That particular scene demonstrated why people
should not judge a book by its cover. During the entire film Dean Witter could not stress enough
the importance of how tough the process would be in order to work for his company, even if
someone got a perfect score on the exam their chances of being hired was still very slim. Chris
exceeds those expectations and is later given the job. The film The Pursuit of Happyness told a story
of a true American Hero. Chris Gardner should be an inspiration to those who have been faced
with the same situations. All those sleepless nights trying to think of ways to make money, then
moving from one homeless shelter to the next, and having to face his son everyday hoping that one
day he would understand, is something no one in our society should have to go through in order to
live in a world that is based off power and greed. Chris Gardner was an underrated African American
who lived an underprivileged proletariat

Running head: ETHICAL DILEMMA: BRAIN DEATH
Ethical Dilemma: Brain Death
Mike Baker
University of Phoenix
Introduction
There has been an increase in the number of organs donated for transplantation since the
development and acceptance of brain death. (Guidelines for the determination of death, 1981) The
strict rules surrounding the diagnosis and the ability to develop individualized Policy and Procedures
in the determination of brain death has removed the fear of law suite surrounding this definition of
death. (Guidelines for the determination of death, 1981)
Old vs. New
Until brain death was introduced the diagnosis of death was the lack of cardiac function. Without a
heart beat blood did not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this case AMH has requested the SWOB to responded and recover organs for transplant. Once the
brain death diagnosis is made the attending doctor does not have any more contact with the patient.
This prevents the conflict of interest question from being raised.
The responding organ bank, as well as the centers that receive the organs for transplant, provide on
call doctors to assist in the recovery process. The hospital however maintains control of the patient.
This chain of command is for the protection of all involved in the recovery and transplant process.
In this situation the organ bank was challenging the diagnosis of brain death made by a member
of the professional staff of AMH. Not only was there a challenge but it was being made by some
one other then a doctor. Only a doctor can pronounce a patient dead. So here was another dilemma
in that there was a challenge to the doctor s diagnosis being made by a nurse. This in it self goes
against the State Nursing Rules for licensure. Nurses are not allowed to diagnosis nor practice
medicine.
The transplant coordinator nurse needed the support of the organ bank s medical staff. The organ
bank s medical staff was not on scene and thus had to take the word of the transplant coordinator.
In this case the transplant coordinator could have just continued with the recovery and not said
anything. The coordinator could have
Truman Doctrine And The Cold War
The Cold War was one of the most peculiar occurrences in human history, which endured almost fifty
years and all those years was the dominant characteristic of international relations. It was a period of
indirect confrontation between two, at the time(1945 1989), most powerfull countries in the world
the Soviet Unionand the United States of America. However, there is no exact and precise date of
the beginning of the war, as it started gradually, with the contribution of many different causes.
However, a common question usually arises: was the Truman Doctrine responsible for starting the
Cold War?
First of all, Truman doctrine and its objectives must be presented. The Truman doctrine was
established in 1947, by the thirty third president of the United States Harry S. Truman. In the book
The Truman Presidency the Truman doctrine was described as one of the most momentous events
in international political relations of this century . The Truman Doctrine was necessary, as the
communist push and constraint on Greece and Turkey menaced both of them with debacle. The
main issue was, that if Turkey fell, Greece would collapse with her and vice versa. And if the
USSR would break through these political barriers, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, North
Africa and even India would be in peril. In other words there would be an obvious dominance of
Communism, which could not be allowed, as it would disrupt the growing idyll of capitalism and
democracy. The only way that

Caterpillar s Organizational Structure
Caterpillar is a corporation that designs, manufactures and sells diesel and natural gas engines,
construction, and mining equipment. Since the year 1905 Caterpillar has been a corporation that has
evolved by making significant improvements to its machinery by taking advantage of the available
technology, and it has had the ability to adapt to the dynamic changes and demands of the
construction industry. Many significant events have occurred in this business to make this company
what it is nowadays, a very prestigious and successful company around the world. In the year 1906
in San Francisco California, when one of the most significant earthquakes took place, the company

employees). The CEO oversees five group presidents. These groups of presidents supervise twenty
five vice presidents who are in control facilities, geographical regions, marketing regions and four

As we can see in the table, the corporation does not rely heavily in management levels; instead the
chain of command is not very tall; which makes very dynamic the flowing of ideas and orders from
Directors to line and production managers. This decentralized structure that took place in the early
1900 s was a key strategy to get closer to customers and satisfy more efficiently to their needs.
The actual structure of the company is a clear insicator of how the company evolves constantly with
the industy; the leadership understand the importance of being constantly involved with the
employees at all levels. In the year 2004, the back then vice president of the company Christioano V
Schena; shared an interesting story that demonstrated the effectiveness and results that good
management can do for the Company.
The Nature And Existence Of God
The existence of suffering in the world provides a case against the existence of God as the problem
of evil. It seems that the God of classical theism is incompatible with the reality of the world around
us; could such an all loving, all powerful and all knowing God exists in conjunction with instances of
immense and seemingly pointless suffering? It does seem unlikely that such a Godexists alongside
evil. However, it is questionable whether this is a proof that God does not exist.
The problem of evil which forms as; is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not
omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then
whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? (Lactanitus). Epicurus
here challenges the properties we associate with God, suggesting that those properties do not add up
to reality and be consistent with perceived belief about the nature and existence of God. We can form
the problem into an inconsistent triad (J.L Mackie, 212) which runs that God is omnipotent,
omnibenevolent and evil exists. He postulates that no valid solution of the problem which does not
modify at least one of the constituent propositions , positing that is would be impossible to remove
one of the characteristics of God without moving the image of God so far away from our traditional
understanding that it becomes unrecognisable and the problem still remains.

The Violence Of The Black Lives Matter By Alicia Garza,...
What started off as a tweet turned into a movement and has now become a full on war against
police. Many African Americans are outraged by police and want liberation, so they have joined
Black Lives Matter in hopes of change. In order to understand the movement, it is important to look
at the history, the agenda, and manifesto of this organization. The real questions at matter are what is
its purpose of this organization, how it is effecting law enforcement, and how is law enforcement
responding.
Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi are the creators of the now famous hash tag Black
Lives Matter. It was made as a call to action after George Zimmerman was not held accountable for
the fatal shooting of teen Trayvon Martin in 2012. This incident was what gave life to the Black
Lives Matter movement and has reframed the way Americans perceive police treatments of people of
color. It was not until 2014 when it exploded all over social media after a Ferguson police officer
killed a young black man named Michael Brown. The book Forces of Deviance: understanding the
dark side of policing says, African Americans tend to believe that the police were more corrupt,
more unfair, harsher, tougher, less friendly, and crueler than did whites. African Americans
generally were more dissatisfied with police service in comparison to the white population
(Kappeler, Sluder, Alpert 6). Ferguson was exposed as a case study of structural racism in America
and a metaphor for all that
Essay About Adolf Hitler
What do you know about Adolf Hitler? It is well known that Hitler was the leader of the Nazi
party, the fascist dictator of Germany and that he was the cause of the Holocaust because of his
hatred of Jews but what about this? What about his leadership over the German people, the
significance of his leadership, and how he helped out Germanyas a whole after the effects of World
War 1 and the Treaty of Versailles? Adolf Hitlers leadership was significant as he helped the
Germans regain their nationality. He also had a hand in restoring the German economy that was
crippled by the Weimar Republicand the Treaty of Versailles. How much of this did you really
know? Did you know about the Treaty of Versailles before this or maybe that the German economy
was utterly crippled after the first world war and the treaty aforementioned?
First of all, Hitler had a plan as to how he was going to restore the German economy, but it was not
to be done by his own hands, moreover, by another s since he did not have enough experience in
the field of economics. Hitler had hired two politicians/economists to work on restoring the
economy and create new jobs for the German people because the Great Depression left many
unemployed. One of those hired people was named Hjalmar Schacht, he was known for creating
the Rentenmark, a new type of German currency that was subsequently created since the old
Marks practically had no value due to hyperinflation which was solved due to his economic
policies. He was most likely chosen for the position because he had experience being the
president of the Reichsbank and was a supporter of Hitler as well. According to the History
Learning Site, it states, Schacht had developed a reputation as a highly successful financial Mr
Fix It and his reputation went before him. (Trueman, 26 May 2015). Under Hitler, he worked as
the Minister of Economics, he coordinated the workforce and implemented many work reforms
which significantly help in the restoration of the economy, but only in a part of it, there were still
jobs to worry about. Robert Ley was the other politician, he was assigned as head of the German
Labor Front which had made all worker members of a single trade union which was controlled by the
