Speech On Perseverance
There I was, dead tired on the final play of my football game. As they snapped the ball from the
two yard line, they ran it to the left. Now, I could have let the situation take over and not make my
tired body make the tackle and let them score the winning touchdown, but instead I persevered in
the face of a tired and stiff body and made the game saving touchdown. If one always keeps on
keeping on, no matter the situation, is perseverance. A person needs to be motivated, have optimism,
and realizing and using the advantages of perseverance to one s advantage if they wantto have grit
and perseverance, which is to never quit even with difficulties.
To begin with, to have perseverance, one must always keep going forward, regardless of the
situation. There are many factors in keeping this grit, one of them being to always be motivated. A
quote that explains this is ... we conquer by continuing. (Smith 2017.) This quote helps prove the
idea of motivation by basically saying one cannot fail if they don t stop trying, which is
motivation. If one always keeps trying, they can never fail. More evidence to support this comes
from The Iceberg Illusion, where it says that you need failure, sacrifice, and disappointment in order
to reach the level of success they want. It takes much motivation to overcome failure, sacrifice, and
disappointment in one s life. This idea of motivation can be related back to me, because I have
needed to stay motivated to keep in shape the
World War Z Change
A basic tenet in both fiction and in life is that change is inevitable, and for better or worse, it s
going to happen. In the novel World War Z, lots of things are changing: society is on the verge of
collapse, social hierarchy and status quo are thrown on their heads, and geopolitical relations
devolve drastically, but valiantly manage to save the remaining thread of humanity. Evident changes
and progressions in theme are to be expected in a novel, but a trickier task is to appropriate this
changeand apply its meaning to specific situations in our everyday lives. The transition from high
school to being a freshman in college is one such scenario. There are certain aspects of human nature
thematically explored in World War Z that do... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In World War Z, education as a theme is almost exclusively based in an unfortunate trial and error.
From the progression of zombie fighting techniques revolutionized from the failure at Yonkers to
the triumph at Hope, to adoption of the Redeker Plan, it was impossible not to notice that
experimentation began to begat success. Humanity began to learn from their past mistakes, and
apply hard earned knowledge in practical ways to limit loss of resources and life, which really is
the essence of education. This being my freshman year at West Virginia University, there are no
shortage of things that offer this sort of practical life experience, based in a trial and error of
sorts. As a pharmacy undergrad, I realize the importance of broadening intellectual horizons,
deepening my knowledge of chemistry and biology, because peoples well being depends on it.
Much like individual efforts in the Zombie War, my effort is necessary to provide a practical
service to others, and if my service could make even the least difference to someone in need, then it
is a welcome
The Way Of Life Has Forever Changed
The way of life has forever changed. Living like our parents did is not an option for the
technology thirsty current economy. We have become so dependent on technology and its
advances that without it, we simply would not be able to function. If every computer and computer
system suddenly crashed or stopped working it would be pure chaos, every nuclear facility would
become uncontrollable, and there would be numerous toxic meltdowns, airplanes would fall from
the sky, trains and cars and other forms of transportation would be unusable, communications would
stop, electricity would go out, people would die (Dilard, 2014). These systems are so vital to the
way we function as a society that to think of life without them is comical. Networks and systems are
so vital to business and society that special positions and roles are needed to ensure they are
maintained and operate. Network administrator and system administrators are more important and
demanding roles than an average user would think. Users can go weeks, possibly even months
without having to phone their administrators for help, but this is not due to no issues, this is due to
administrators actively doing their job. Networks are only as good as their admins perform, the
overall structure and integrity of a network lies in the hands of network and system administrators.
Without these unsung heroes patching and protecting our digital frontier, our networks would be
susceptible to any number of cyber attacks
Teaching Models Of Learning
Introduction
Teaching models as proposed by Joyce and Weil (1972) are actually models of learning. These
proposed models helps the students to gain knowledge, skills, ideas, values and ways of thinking
through the way they learn. The focus of applying these models in the teaching and learning process
remains on teaching students how to learn. The most valued feature of teaching models is the
connection of the learning material to the real life context which in turn supports the students to
apply the knowledge and skills they have learned effectively in their future endeavors. The purpose
of this assignment is to develop a practical and theoretical understanding of different teaching models
and how to integrate the models in the teaching and learning process. Hence, through this assignment
selected teaching models will be explored and presented in detail a long with different ways of
integrating them in the learning practices. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A teaching model is not just a plan or a set of ideas but also it comes with guidelines for designing
education activities, as well as certain teaching and learning that are intended to achieve goals and
outcomes. In order to achieve these goals and outcomes four different types of teaching models can
be utilized in the classroom context along with various sub models that comes under each of these
model. The four major models proposed are social, personal, behaviour, and information processing
model. Each of these model caters for a particular developmental area of the student which leads to
overall progress of the

Short Essay Chapter 1
BOOK 1 Ready to give up, after waiting more than an hour for her daughter, suddenly Katherine
saw the old Malibu coming into the parking lot, and hid behind the building. Katherine peeked
around the corner and watched Marlene kiss the driver passionately before waltzing across the
doctor s parking lot. Unlocking the door the new red Mercedes, the raven haired beauty with a
reputation for being high maintenance drove out of the parking lotand down the street.
With her thoughts lingering on the last hours spent with her lover, Marlene entered the garage and
breathed a sigh of relief when she failed to see her husband s car. Exiting the Mercedes, straightening
her clothes, she picked up the mail before entering the house. After placing ... Show more content on

Her voice filled with venom, Katherine asked, Marlene, what will happen when Jerry learns about
Frank, and I m just the one to tell him? Jerry is a wonderful husband and a wonderful provider,
Katherine said, knowing if Jerry even suspected she was having an affair that he would divorce her
immediately.
Go ahead, and talk to Jerry, I don t care! I have no idea why Frank called my phone, Marlene said,
My goodness, Mother. I ve only spoken to him a few times.
If that is true, why do you park your Mercedes in different garages around town at least four days a
week? Katherine asked.
Surprised by what her mother said, Marlene asked, And just where did you get that information?
I followed you and watched you park your car and get into another car, Katherine said.
Oh, come on Mom, you were following the wrong car. I don t have the only red Mercedes in
Jackson Heights. Good God, Mom! I would never jeopardize my family s happiness, Marlene said,
sarcastically, waving her hands. Concerned with her daughter s happiness, Katherine said, Honey,
don t expect me to remain silent and watch you destroy your family. Raising her voice, Marlene
said, I love you, Mother, and I do expect you to keep your mouth shut. I swear I ll see you in your
grave before you cause me trouble. I m warning you, leave it alone! Although shocked, Katherine
failed to respond.
I ll pick up my phone tomorrow, Marlene said,
My View Of Success And The American Dream
America is truly the land of opportunity. My maternal grandfather was a first generation immigrant
from the Philippines. He came to this country with nothing, but a dream to succeed. He saw the
only way to succeed was through a solid education. His view of success was to get a good paying
job. In a similar manner my paternal grandfather was essentially orphaned when he was six years
old. The only hope he saw to escape his microcosm was through an education. He gained his
success through the American Dream. In total, both of my grandfathers achieved the american
dream, even though they had a differing view of success they both acknowledged the necessary
means to transition from failure to success, and this was an education. I have been influenced
greatly by my two grandfathers. My view of success and the American Dream is a certain
Melting Pot of my two grandfathers. I view success as the combination of a good career as well
as a great family. I see the transition from childhood to adulthood as the point where one is able to
effectively take charge of their future and their own success in an effective way with the approval
of others to change the course of their life. Personally, I feel as though I crossed the transition from
childhood to adulthood towards the end of my Junior year of high school in more ways than one. To
begin, It was around this time that I... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Three defining events my birthday, my election, and the pursuit of a vocation all contributed to my
transition from childhood to adulthood. Looking back at my grandfather s paths to success I
cannot deny the essential aspect that college provides in the road to a successful life. With this in
mind I know that college is an essential stepping stone and I feel your college best suits my needs and
African Art And Art
Another example of how culture influences art is the painting Spring Morning in the Han Palace
by Qui Ying. He was considered to be one of the Four Great Masters of the Ming Dynasty from
1368 to 1644. This painting depicted many everyday activities that would be done during the early
spring time. The work of art done by Qui Ying includes people tending to flowers and playing chess,
which are part of the Chinese cultureduring the spring. African art work and culture is geared
towards the religious aspects of life. Terracotta figures that did not interfere with human
representation were the first kind of African art. African art s main focus is expanding the world to
decrease the fear of the unknown. For example, a mask that was used for rituals and ceremonies
created by Dual God Gulu. The mask brings life and death. This is an example of African art that
involves the religious aspect of culture.
Fashion and clothing are most definitely a necessity in life, but also a work of art. What people
wore in the past to what we wear today is all inspired by culture. Taking a look at the past Native
Americans belonging to over five hundred groups with one of a kind traditions and ways of life
dressed according to their belief systems and culture. Some tribes had worshipped the sun and in
order for them to show their respects for the sun they wore very bright colored clothing. Whereas
other tribes did not worship the sun, instead they worshipped the mountains so they would wear attire
Athletic Trainers ( Ats )
Athletic Trainers (ATs) are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide
preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation
of injuries and medical conditions. According to the caATe that is the definition of being an athletic
trainer. The caATe is the organization responsible for the authorization of athletic training education
program. Athletic trainers are multi skilled, highly trained healthcare professionals. In 1950 the
organization NATA was made to build and strengthen the profession. In 1955 the first athletic
trainer surfaced to become the National Secretary of the NATA. He was a man by the name

At the end of the school year a student will have to take the BOC exam like mentioned earlier. In
the 2014 2015 school year 80.65% of the people who took the exam passed. In a recent study, the
average salary of an athletic trainer with a bachelor s degree is $46,176. But an athletic trainer
with a master s degree makes around $51,144. An athletic trainer with the highest degree
(doctorate) they make an average of $76,262. This can be compared to about what flight attendant
makes. Places that athletic trainers usually work is at schools. Such as on teams from colleges
and high school. Athletic trainers also work in the major leagues in sports. But they can also
work in places someone wouldn t expect like the military and some clinics or hospitals. Athletic
trainers can also be found at places such as operating room, NASA, and some business offices.
Athletic trainers can even work at the Olympics. The field of athletic training is growing rapidly
each year. The pay is also increasing each year. Since 2003 pay has increased by at least 9 percent.
The most it increased was in youth sports by 41 percent. But the most paid is in performing arts it
increased by 15 percent to $56,135. The job of an athletic trainer is always changing due to different
injuries that come in each day and different stories that go along with it. Plus all athletes will heal at
different times and some might have complications while others may not have them. There
The Pros And Cons Of Pat Toomey
Pat Toomey could have a problem come November or so says Curtis Blessing, a South
Philadelphia Democrat who says a polarizing Republican presidential nominee could endanger the
first term GOP senator from Pennsylvania s re election bid. Sean Shamany, a Republican from
Hazleton, isn t buying it: He says that if frontrunner Donald Trump is the party s standard bearer it
would lift, not sink, Toomey. As the campaigns for the major parties presidential nominations drag
on, attention has begun to turn downballot, where a handful of toss up races could help decide
control of the Senate. With a contested Republican convention possible Trump, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz
and Ohio Gov. John Kasich are all still in the race it s not just the nominee
Gertrude And Ophelia Essay
Throughout history, women have traditionally played a miniscule part in almost all aspects of life.
Consequently, this has been reflected Shakespeare s Hamlet with the existence of only two named
female characters Gertrude, the queen of Denmark and Ophelia, the prince s lover who are
portrayed as delicate and helpless. Gertrudeand Ophelia appear to be trivial, submissive heroines
who fade into the background of a patriarchal society then die tragically; however, upon further
analysis, they are clearly vital to the plot and flow of the play. Gertrude and Ophelia greatly
influence the male characters and abet the action in Hamlet.
Shakespeare presents Gertrude and Ophelia as traditional ladies of the Elizabethan Era who are
inferior and defined by their relationships with men. Gertrude and Ophelia s characters are there to
be used by and to serve men (Wagner 94). Women were so easy to control because of their
dependency on men. Hamlet s famous insult, Frailty; thy name is woman, perfectly captures the
sexist attitudes and gender bias in Shakespeare s time (1.2.150). He claims that frailty and weakness
is the hamartia of all women.
As long as Ophelia remains unmarried, she must accept and abide by her father s rules and
ultimatums ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She laments, He is gone, he is gone, and we cast away moan. God a mercy on his soul (4.5.220
21). She is left to think for herself without any other source of authority and commits suicide. This
may be interpreted as proof of her helplessness without a man s guidance. On the contrary, while
Hamlet is still struggling with his decision to be or not to be, Ophelia actively chooses not to be.
Ophelia took her own life, on her own terms (3.1.64). This makes a major impact in Hamlet.
Laertes, who already has wants to kill Hamlet for stabbing his father to death, is driven over the
edge by Ophelia s suicide. Her death is the catalyst for the tragic ending of
