A.1.2 Supply and install recommended in-ground planting backfill mix to final finished grades to all
landscape areas as described below:
1. The backfill mix for in-ground plantings of
trees, palms, and shrubs shall consist of the
following:
• 2 parts of screened soil / topsoil
• 1 part of approved organic compost
• 1 part of coarse river sand (all sand to be
completely saline free)
• 1 kg/cu.m. slow release NPK 15-15-15 fertilizer
8 (coarse granule) m3 5,877 - soil + compost +sand + mixing
• Any other additives to balance PH and organic and transportation + labour
matter content as determined by the soil test
results.
2. Mix thoroughly off - site on a non -contaminating surface before transporting to site and placing in the

15 Notes:
a) Rates shall be deemed to include for addition of fertiliser, all staking, wrapping and tying of material
16 (for trees and palms), watering, mulching with approved mulch, maintenance, etc. (for all planting
material).
b) The girth stated for material in this Section is to be the diameter of the main trunk taken at 1,000mm
17 above ground level.
c) De-topped trees, root-bound trees and trees with branches missing from one side of the trunk are
18 not acceptable.
d) Specimens delivered to site shall be to L.A. inspection prior to planting on ground. Form and shape of
the specimens shall be to L.A. satisfaction with the compliance of the specification stated in the
drawing. Rejected specimens shall be removed from site and replaced immediately with approved
19 equivalent. Please take note all specimens shall achieve instant quality in term of business, height and
form.

83 B.5 SUPPLY AND INSTALL DRAINAGE MATERIALS PREAMBLE NOTES:
84 The rates for this section are to include:
85 a) Excavation around piles and confined areas and getting out
86 b) Excavation by hand and/or mechanical means any materials encounters
87 c) Trimming, leveling, and compacting bottoms and keeping sides plump
88 d) Multiple handling of materials and all transport and
89 handling charges at loading and unloading ends
90 e) Complying with the Architect’s instructions issued

DRAINCELL WITH GEOTEXTILE ON PODIUM: Providing and laying geotextile and draincell as per specifications
below:
1. Laying of drainage cell and filter fabric to horizontal and vertical surfaces of planter : All the planting areas
on structure should have a layer of drainage cell protected by a filter fabric, along the horizontal and vertical
sides of the structure. Filter fabric to be checked at overlapping seams (min 150mm), and termination areas
