Nuclear Power Plant Advantages And Disadvantages
Every dollar spent on nuclear is one less dollar spent on clean renewable energy and one more
dollar spent on making the world a comparatively dirtier and a more dangerous place, because
nuclear power and nuclear weapons go hand in hand (Mark Z. Jacobson).
Nuclear power plants are widely considered to be one of the most effective methods of producing
electricity, however, they come with disastrous potentials. They are more preferred than the toxic
burning of fossil fuel, which produces high amounts of greenhouse gases (Health Research Funding).
However, I believe that the disadvantages and potential hazards of using nuclear power plants
demean the advantages, and thus they should not be considered as a solution to energy problems.
The disadvantages include the usage of non renewable fuel and the potential of long lasting
destructive effects on the environment and health. Health effects
Accidents
A nuclear power plant acts like a thermal power station in which nuclear reactors act as the heat
source (European Nuclear Society). All typical conventional thermal power stations work similarly,
where heat is used to generate steam which drives a turbine connected to a generator that produces
electricity (European Nuclear Society). There are four hundred nuclear power plants functioning in
the world, with many in the United States and Japan (Nuclear Energy Institute, World Statistics ).
One of the main drawbacks of using nuclear power plants is
Emily Dickinson I Grew A Funeral In My Brain
American Literature

Analysis of I Felt a Funeral in my Brain
I Felt a Funeral in my Brain , by Emily Dickenson, is a poem of despair, narrating the experience
and feelings associated with sinking into an episode of depression, and arguably losing her sanity in
the process. Depression is defined as feelings of severe despondency and dejection, and is described
as a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest, affecting how you think, feel, and behave.
Creating difficulty in maintaining day to day life, and feeling as though life is not worth living. In
the first stanza, Emily Dickenson states that she can feel the mourners treading to and fro, until it
seemed all sense was breaking through (Hungerford, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She begins with the stages of fearing that she is losing her sanity, to feeling the weight of
depression taking over her body, through feeling herself completely fall into a pit of despair and
isolation from the depression. Dickenson was able to use this poem to express what so many
others have felt and continue to feel, but are unable to express for themselves. As I read this
poem, I read it as a cry for help, as Dickenson hoping for someone to understand and to care, as
someone to help her out of her isolation and her misery. I Felt a Funeral in my Brain is a poem of
despondency and dejection, the feeling of sadness, and loss of interest, preventing normal day to day
living, and ending with the feeling as though life is not worth
The Color Blue In The Great Gatsby
The color blue in The Great Gatsby has some of the deepest meanings. From symbolizing
happiness and joy to sadness and loneliness. When blue comes to the mind some people think
happiness, others think the reciprocal of that. Blue can be described as a neutral color, meaning
that it has various meanings. The color blue does not have many symbols in the book, but when
it does they are pretty big ones. The color blue in The Great Gatsby is represented by many items
and people throughout the book. For instance the billboard with T.J. Eckleburg s big blue eyes
looking over the Valley of Ashes, the color in his eyes could symbolize wisdom or a god type figure
looking over everyone with sadness for the loss of spiritual value in America. Many of the symbols
represent sadness, this is just one example of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Gatsby looked across the bay that separated him and Daisy he called it a Blue Lawn which
represents his loneliness and longing for Daisy. His thoughts of Daisy make him sad or lonely.
He throws parties which in the movie there is a lot of blue in them. This is ironic because he is
feeling lonely but there is a lot of people around him. He does not know most of the people at his
parties, he just hopes that one day Daisy will show up to one of his big parties. This loneliness he
experiences could have influenced his color choice for the party. (The Great Gatsby) Dr. Wilson
s eyes were blue, his eyes symbolized his sad, boring life. At the end this turns from symbolising
his life to his sadness for the death of his wife. When he kills Gatsby in his pool, Gatsby is
surrounded by water which is also blue representing the loneliness he s gone through and for it all
to end in one quick moment. Gatsby tried so hard to get Daisy and himself back together, instead
he dies before they can official be together. The color blue can be depressing at times, especially in

The Beginning Of World War I And Commencement Of A...
The year of 1914 marked the beginning of World War I and the commencement of a tumultuous era
for politics, society and art. Amongst the considerable number of people negatively affected by the
dreadfulness of the war, many of them found different ways of expressing their repugnance towards
the horrific routes that humanity had taken. The Dadamovement in particular began not only as a
reaction against the war but also as a commentary on the social circumstances that lead to it. This
essay reflects on the context that allowed the art movement to flourish and the circumstances that
lead to its decline. The rise of machinery, mass production, fascism and overall disillusionment with
society provided an ideal environment for radical movements to emerge.
The First World War was one of the greatest military conflicts to be observed in recent history,
happening during a time when humanity was rapidly advancing, to the point that it seemed
unlikely for society to fall in such disarray s quickly. Most people were astonished by this decline
and it stirred a certain sense of antipathy in the general public, antipathy towards politics, towards
the bourgeois who had control over everything at the time and, most of all, antipathy towards the
weaknesses and errors of the people who were so eager to praise their nations yet allowed their
countries to join in the chaotic massacre of the war.
Art has always had an important relation to its historical context and, naturally, this profound
Taking a Look at the Darfur Genocide
The Darfur genocide was the first genocide in the twentieth century and it is also the first
genocide to be declared genocide. Sadly the Darfur genocide still remains and millions of people
are still being affected as of today. Roughly around 400,000 innocent lives were lost. (Society in
Darfur, Chiff.com) In the year 2011 more than 500,000 Sudanese civilians were being driven out of
their homes by the government s harsh actions and decisions and this number is still rising. (It s in
my blood, stopgenocide.org.) Many of their homes and villages were burned to nothing bust ashes
by the Janjaweed. In the year 2008 the United Nationscreated a hybrid United Nation and African
Union mission known as UNAMID. They had planned to send over 26,000 troops to help defend
the citizens with force if necessary. But they only sent around 9,000 troops so far and they also lack
the proper equipment (Sudan Protest, guardianlv.com). The United Nations have stationed many
refugee camps. Many people run away from their village to get to the refugee camps and get the
protection they need. Many associations are making an honest effort to help send supplies to Sudan.
So far around 6.1 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance as of 2014. And the response
by the several of humanitarian groups has been amazing. They have raised 6 million dollars worth of
donations and was sent to Sudan last year in 2013. The Relief International group stationed many
health outposts throughout
My writing styles Essay
My writing styles

There are many writing styles that many people pick up as they go through there many years of
schooling. Each person picks up the same type of writing styles but as years go by people seem to
pick up there own little types of writing style that separates them from everyone else. As I have
gone through many years of English classes I have acquired more and more skills and many more
are sure to come as I continue my education. My writing skills have only gotten better from the
time of ninth grade English class until today. Since my days back in junior high school I was only
taught the basic skills to write papers and since then they have grown to make me a decent writer. I
have many strengths and also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Run on sentences is also another one of my weaknesses as a writer which is not as big as a
problem as my weakness of verb tense use. Another of many disadvantages of a writer in my point
of view is my able to organize my sentences so they run smoothly. I need to work a little bit more on
my internal organization of paragraphs. I don t exactly incorporate quotes so that my sentences run as
smoothly as they can. All together I think these couple of disadvantages of my writing is minimal
and that I can work on these mistakes out if I would proof read my papers more in depth. If I can
work out my weaknesses from my writing I will have more advantages and also be considered a
better writer.

Along with disadvantages of my writing also come the advantages which make me a half way
decent writer in my perspective. In writing papers I include many interesting facts about the topic
that I am writing on. This skill of being able to research topics good is something that I think is
one of my major strengths because of the ability to take the time and patience to weed through tons
of material. I am able to take this research that I find and incorporate it into my papers in a fair
enough manner that makes my papers have way decent. Another strength that I posses is my
The Causes of Inflationary Pressure on New Zealand’s Economy
The causes of inflationary pressure on New Zealand s economy

The Official Cash Rate is the interest rate set by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand to meet or
keep inflation under control since 1999. So it is a very important and basic monetary tool for
New Zealand s government to adjust or indicate the market interest rates with the banks in NZ.
Generally, the market interest rates are set or held around at the RBNZ S OCR level. For example, if
the OCR is set higher than before, then the market interest rates for savers is going to increase as
well. As a result, people in NZ will tend to spend less for goods and services and place more deposits
with the Banks in NZ. On the contrary, people in NZ for loans or mortgages are inclined to ... Show

In addition, as a result of the lower OCR, the New Zealander is not preferred to place their money
with banks or financial institutions because of the lower saving interest rates. This will bring more
spending and expenditures into the markets in NZ. It leads to the inflation as well.

Besides, for New Zealand, it has a similar economic experience with other developed countries in
the first decade of the 21st century (Preston, 2011). With this relatively high speed development of
New Zealand s economy, its current account of the balance of the payment is kept with saving
deficit for many years due to very high government s spending and high growth in borrowing.
There is no doubt that the economy of NZ can be stimulated through this kind of approach.
However, this also could produce the inflation for this country because of the massive investments
for the continued demand from New Zealander (Preston, 2011). For example, there is a rapid rise
on property prices in NZ as the increased demands on that.

The Setting of the House on Mango Street
The short story, The House on Mango Street, is a story that is centered within a particular
neighborhood, which is evidently inhabited by middle to lower class folks. Although the
introduction of the story does not state a specific location, it is safe to say that it is not the typical
neighborhood where you would find rich white folks living. For example, the house where the
protagonists live is described as almost collapsing due to brick damage; something that would not be
an issue within a richer neighborhood. Evidently, the setting is one of the most important elements
that constructs the first chapter. The House on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The text also explains how their mom would share stories with them describing how their dream
home would look like. That most likely gave them hope and made them fantasize about someday
living in a better home. However, the story portrays how the narrator became more realistic and
pessimistic about their situation. In the last paragraph of the story, the narrator s parents state that
their current life style is only temporary, but the narrator insists that nothing will change any time
soon. Being the oldest of all the children, she has matured and become more aware that overcoming
financial barriers are considerably long processes, and that their situation will not change from one
day to the next.
The purpose of The House on Mango Street is to create a mental picture within the reader s head.
Throughout reading it, we get a sense of what the family has gone through, and what the severity of
their struggles really are. The setting helps us see that their life styles have improved gradually, but
they are still not where they want to be on the economic ladder. Even though their situation seems to
improve, the narrator makes it clear that they are nowhere close to what she envisions her life in
her dreams. The narrator s pessimistic point of view opens the audience s mind, and helps us see
their situation more realistically. However, somewhere deeply, the narrator still holds on hope that
someday they will be
Remedies Under Breach Of Contract
1.3 Remedies available under breach of contract
1.3.1 Breach of a Contract

A breach of contract is where a party to a contract fails to perform, precisely and faithfully, his
obligations under the contract. This can take numerous forms for example, the failure to supply
goods or perform a service as agreed. Breach of contract may be either actual or anticipatory.
Actual breach occurs where one party refuses to form his side of the bargain on the due date or
performs incompletely. For example: Poussard v Spiers and Bettini v Gye.
Anticipatory breach occurs where one party announces, in advance of the due date for
performance, that he intends not to perform his side of the bargain. The innocent party might sue for
damages immediately the breach is announced. Hochster v De La Tour is an example. ... Show more

1.3.2 Remedy

A legal remedy is a court order that seeks to uphold a person s rights or to reparation a breach of
the law. When one party breaches a contract, the other party might ask a court to deliver a remedy
for the breach. The court might order the breaching party to pay money to the non breaching
party.Without a remedial response; a right would be of little value. Thus the law has established a
series of remedial responses where a breach of contract befalls. The innocent party might keep a
right of action by claiming one or more of the following remedies:

suit for rescission

suit for damages
suit for quantum meruit
suit for specific
