Occupational Therapy Has A Long-Standing History Of Being
Occupational therapy has a long standing history of being a client centered profession that aims to
understand each person individually to best meet occupational performance needs in their day to day
life. Occupational therapists utilize a multitude of resources to best create a plan of care for each
client. Resources that are used often include: standardized assessments, evaluations, client centered
interventions and theoretical frame of reference. A theoretical frame of reference is defined as a set
of interrelated internally consistent concepts, definitions, postulates and principles that provide a
systematic description of and prescription for a practitioner s interaction within his domain of
concern (Creighton, 1985). This paper... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When the therapist would incorporate softball related activities into my therapy I certainly was more
motivated because the occupation that I was interested in was involved. Occupational therapists are
said to be very adaptive professionals and understand how how important it is to be adaptive, not
only as a professional, but in everyday life. The Occupational Adaptation Frame of Reference by
Schkade and Schultz aims to describe the link between the two fundamental constructs of
occupational therapy, namely; occupation and adaptation (Schultz Schkade, 1992). This theory
primarily focuses on the interplay between the external and the internal factors that are interacting
continuously during completion of occupations. The constant factor is press for mastery which
yields the occupational challenge and one s ability of an adaptive response. An adaptive response is
made up of three subprocesses that are internal to the person; the three subprocesses are: the
generation subprocess, the evaluation subprocess and the integration subprocess and these explain
the adaptive response activated by the person in response to an occupational challenge (Schultz
Schkade, 1992). Through the subprocesses, the person plans the adaptive response, evaluates the
outcome and integrates the evaluation as adaptation. I am find this frame of reference quite
interesting because it focuses on the interplay of internal and external factors and how an individual
responds to the interplay of

A Man Best Friend Animals are known to be a man s best friend. Studies have even shown that
owning animals have been proven to have many health benefits that include but are not limited to,
lowering cholesterol, lowering blood pressure, lowering triglycerides, reduce stress levels, and
provide the owner with better mental health. C.W. Von Bergen says For centuries people have noted
the animals can have a positive influence on human functioning, and conventional wisdom has long
supported the use of animals in promoting human wellbeing. (18). Research shows that 6.15 million
Americans over the age of 15 struggle with mental illness. Nearly 13.6 million people live with
severe mental illness; this includes schizophrenia, major depression, anxiety, or bipolar disease (
Emotional Support Animals, Service Animal, and Pets on campus. 16). Studies have found that
while many benefits of animals companionship apply to groups across the board, unique benefits
were observed for individuals with mental or psychiatric disorders. This research started the idea
of ESA being a more common thing. People with disabilities may use service dogs and emotional
support animals for a variety of reasons. I found it is for this reason that all individuals must
remember that it is not necessary that all disabilities be an obvious one. Now many people wonder
what an ESA is. ESAs (sometimes called therapy animals or support
Software Development Life Cycle ( Sdlc )
A software application is a program, or group of programs, that is designed for the end user.
Software engineering process collects and translates business requirements into technology
solutions, by developing software applications. Different departments have various software
applications in companies. Software development life cycle (SDLC) is a structured step by step
approach for developing information systems. It includes below major 7 steps 1. PLANNING In
this phase, solid plan to be created for developing information system. 2. ANALYSIS This phase
involves end users and IT specialists working together to gather, understand, and document the
business requirements for the proposed system. 3. DESIGN This phase frames the design of how
the proposed system should work. 4. DEVELOPMENT This phase transforms requirements into
an actual system, by using all detailed design documents from the design phase. 5. TESTING This
phase verifies whether the system works and meets all of the business requirements defined in the
analysis phase 6. IMPLEMENTATION This phase distributes the system to all of the end users and
they begin using the system to perform their everyday jobs 7. MAINTENANCE This phase
monitors and supports the new system to ensure it continues to meet the business goals Below are
the main approaches to achieve software application development 1. THE STRUCTURED
APPROACH Each stage of the software development cycle must be completed before progressing to
Swot Analysis- Gm (K)
Q1. Conduct a SWOT analysis for GM (K) SWOT analysis basically entails identifying and outlining
the organization s strong attributes that are helpful to achieving the objectives(strengths); weak
attributes of the organization that are harmful to achieving its objectives (weaknesses); external
opportune conditions that are helpful to achieving the organization s objectives (Opportunities);
external conditions that are harmful to achieving the organizations objectives(threats). Basically the
organization identifies and strategizes on how to use each strength, stop each weakness, exploit each
opportunity and defend itself against each threat in order to maximally achieve their objectives.

ideas and give their opinions on work related issues. Weaknesses Underutilized production
capacity the Nairobi plant was operating with only one shift yet it has a three shift potential and
forecast production at 2,300 units approximately 60% of the capacity of one shift which was
reportedly a 50% increase over the previous year s level of production. Utilizing a greater
proportions of the production capacity would help GM (K) fulfill a national goal of providing
more jobs Level of quality and safety of its products GM (K) has a responsibility according their
managing director, to continually improve the quality and safety of its products to meet both strict
international and GMC parent company standards, and to maintain high levels of service since as
he stated service and quality is what really sells products. Opportunities Financial Service

The Life Span Development Perspective
In this chapter they discuss the life span development perspective. They talk about the different
methods of changes in human during their life span. The connection of the biological, cognitive,
and socio emotional process. Human development change trough family influences as well as
society, brain development (cognitive), friends, media, and so on. The developmental theories
contribute in the view of the human development in some similar ways and different perspectives.
I personally like more Erickson theory with Piaget s cognitive development and Banduras social
cognitive theory, (Santrock, 2015). Chapter two Natural selection and adaptive behavior The book
describe the natural process are those species that can adapt best and reproduce. As any living
species to survive most adapt to their surroundings; this will include the places where they are, the
temperature of the area, the food that is able to hunt, and get alone most of the time with the others
species that surround their habitat. Human bodies are composed by DNA and genes that help the
reproduce. Those DNA mark the physicals traits of the individual while the gene help the individual
to reproduce information that help them maintain life. Those mark the difference between female
and male, color of skin, eyes, hair, and even can carry sickness. Behaviors are learned in the growing
up process that is adapted trough family members, friends, culture, and society (Santrock, 2015).
Chapter three This chapter talks
The Influence Of Media On Young Smokers
For part 2 of my english course, I studied how media could have an educational, ideological
influence on the audience. A recent social issue is the rising number of young smokers. Inspired by
this, I decided to write a screenplay about a young chainsmoker Aria. The target audience of this
screenplay includes smokers in their teens to early thirties. The screenplay shows the inner turmoil
that Aria goes through when she is realising the repercussions of making bad choices. She
remembers her youth and her choices, and has to choose between her desires to smoke and her
ambition which urges her to choose the right path. Also, she realises that the choices she makes right
now, influences her adulthood. This leads her to seek help and quit smoking.
Essay on The Dynamics of Faith
The Dynamics of Faith

The Dynamics of Faith is an in depth look at what faith is from a theological perspective. Tillich
seems to be replying to all of the writers we have read thus far and placing their arguments within the
context of faith. Nowhere is this more apparent than on page 24, in his discussion of community. He
rightly acknowledges that faith is usually seen in its sociologic setting. He then proceeds to sort out
the different claims, saying that community is necessary to see the manifestation of faith because we
need the language to express it. He also states that we need community for the content of our faith.
This is almost Durkheimian, except that Tillich does not seem to be saying that community is
necessary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The theory he puts forth could incorporate anything from faith in God to nationalism, as he describes.
Thus, the intent is more important than the name of the organization, whether it be classified as a
religion or not. Although this may be seen as copping out, as some accused James of doing, Tillich
gives such a detailed definition of faith that it is impossible to accuse him of taking the easy path. He
does stray away from incorporating all religion when discussing mythology. He says that Christianity
is superior to religions bound to a natural myth. This is clearly a very biased statement, and
throughout the book it is obvious that Tillich is much more familiar with Christianity than other
traditions. However, he is very quick to remind us that Christianity, too, is a myth. Although there are
any popular perceptions of faith, Tillich goes beyond all of this, saying that the popular perceptions,
even by Christian religious traditions, are misconceptions. We often talk about having faith that there
is life on another planet or something. To Tillich, these things do not constitute faith, but belief. The
difference is that faith is ultimate concern. Faith must include both a cognitive and emotional
component.
Thus, it is impossible to have faith in something without it being your ultimate concern. What is not
completely clear from Tillich is whether all people have some ultimate concern. It is clear that to
some people it
Becoming A General Surgeon As A Surgeon
As a child, I had always been interested in medicine and the medical world. 1 My passion of
learning about the human body started when I was younger. I encountered many health problems
throughout my toddler years. I looked up to the doctors and medical staff around me and continue
to look up to them. They were and are still my heros. That is why my goal in life is to become a
general surgeon. I want to be able to save many lives, since it is possible now to do so. It will take
a lot of effort and time to pursue my choice of career but in the end I will gain so much
satisfaction from helping other people, I want to be able have the same satisfaction those doctors
and surgeons from my toddler years had after helping me. 2 Responsibilities of this job occupation
includes providing medical attention, offering emotional support, and helping patients with other
ailments. Surgeons provide medical attention by operating on their patient and fixing the root of
the problem. Trust between the surgeon and patient is a necessity on both ends. All surgeons need
to provide emotional support to reassure their patients will undergo a safe and smooth operation
(OK career guide). These responsibilities may be tough in the beginning, but as time goes by
success will shine through. No matter what happens, the safety and comfort of a patient should
always be prioritized. 9 Specific abilities are essential in order to be a successful surgeon. Problem

The Subscription Business Model Is A Marketing Model
The subscription business model is a business model where a customer must pay a subscription
price to have access to the product/service. The model was pioneered by magazines and
newspapers, but is now used by many businesses and websites. we ve got to provide an on going,
novel yet practical service that adds value to customers lives by encouraging/changing habits.
You need to relate to your customers lifestyle and that can only be done successfully if you have a
common interest and passion. we are often overwhelmed with the amount of choice when looking
to make a purchase of some kind. Subscription boxes solve this problem. The items in the box are
usually specially curated to suit your customers lifestyle, needs or preferences. They save time and
stress by not having to conduct research or even think. All they want to do is trust someone to
make decisions for them based on some of their requirements and continue receiving these products
on a regular basis. Subscription box businesses are like personal shoppers. They are convenient and
fun too. Market Summary: The Subscription market has seen rapid growth over the last few years.
New companies are building successful businesses selling all manner of products and subscriptions.
There is no single market encompassing all subscription commerce, because a lot of products are
targeted to different demographics. With the vast range of products that can potentially be delivered
by subscription, there is no obvious limit to
Spiritual Awakening Research Paper
How Being An Empath Is Connected To Spiritual Awakening When we have a spiritual
awakening, we leave a more limited sense of ourselves and the world around us for a more
expanded one. We begin to redefine who we believe that we really are. We begin to see the
interconnectedness of all things. We begin to believe that there is something more meaningful to
our experience. Because of this we might start to see new meaning and wisdom in spiritual texts.
Empathy, or the ability to feel what others are feeling, is one of the biproducts of a spiritual
awakening. Not all empaths have had a spiritual awakening because it is possible to be an empath
and not be aware of it. But, having a spiritual awakening will definitely make you more empathetic.
