Role of Strategic Training and Development in Organizational Success
Dr. S.K.Prasad, Director, New Horizon Leadership Institute [email protected]
Introduction
By definition, training and development refers to the process to obtain or transfer knowledge, skills
and abilities needed to carry out a specific activity or task. The benefits of training and development
for both the employer and employee are, in fact, much broader. To meet current and future business
demands, training and development encompasses a wide range of learning actions, from training for
tasks and knowledge sharing to improved customer service and career development, thus expanding
individual, group and organizational effectiveness.

For applied learning, a supportive work environment is critical.

To reap business benefits, HR should focus on: 1) designing training and development, keeping end
results in mind, such as performance and capacity goals; 2) leveraging learning/knowledge assets;
and 3) including key organizational characteristics in the overall integrated approach to training and
development. Training and development programs also offer opportunities to employees to build
internal and external networks and learn from other participants.

Today, the relationship between the organization and the employee has changed. There is greater
emphasis placed on the value of individual and team contributions to find business solutions. The
employee is viewed as a learning customer , bringing personal preferences and motivation to the
workplace. The learning organization therefore requires an environment that supports growth for
individual capability and experience and, at the same time, increases business performance. For
learning to truly benefit both the organization and the employee, the employer must consider the
learner the employee as a vital investment for business success.

The Value of Training and Development

For the organization to gain true value from strategic training and development, senior management
must be fully committed to organizational learning . Consequently, it is important that HR
understands the concept of training transfer (i.e., transfer of learning).
Personal Learning Management
Personal learning management The software application is being added a new functionality it is
supposed to enter, store and recall a valuable item of learning. At this level then, it is necessary to
examine the iteration control structure and the final aim is that of classifying the learning item
into one of the three categories: High value Significant value, and Limited value. The first step in
attaining the desired objective is that of launching the application and attesting the compatibility
between the already existent data and the data to be introduced. It is then necessary to introduce
the data and to store it, making it easily accessible for future usage. At a more detailed level, the
steps to be followed refer to the following: Launching of the application Testing the compatibility
between the application and the data used Assessing the new data in light of the data already
contained by the application Integrating the new data in the necessary group, string etc.
Identifying the features of the new data Identifying the features of the already existent groups If
applicable, integrating the new data in one of the already existent groups If the new data cannot be
integrated in an already existent group, then a new group would be formed for this to be possible,
the new data has to be compatible with the application Allowing for the data to be stored by the
group, not only introduced once Allowing for the data to be easily accessible to the user. At

Prostate cancer refers to the malignant growth of glandular cells located in the prostate. Under
normal circumstances these cells sit in the glands which are responsible for the production of
fluids that make up most of the semen in males [2]. However once these cells lose their control,
what happens is that they will keep on growing until they become cancerous [2]. Ultimately this
means that the natural surrounding layers that did act like barriers for these cells are now broken
and therefore allows the spread of these malignant cells to other organs within the body,
particularly the bones and lymph nodes [2]. When this does take place the risk of death also
increases. At the age of 85, a man is said to have a 1 in 5 chances of developing prostate cancer
sometime in their life. The risk is said to double if a male has a first degree relative who has been
diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Clinical features: Symptoms and signs
Every human body is slightly different in their own way and because of this reason there are
people who do not experience symptoms of prostate cancer [3]. Unfortunately Prostate cancer is a
disease that does not give any warning signs when it is growing. In most cases a male with prostate
cancer does not receive any specific symptoms of concerns; reason is that prostate cancer
Research Design
Describe some of the important research designs used in experimental hypothesis testing research
study.

Research design is needed because it facilitates the smooth sailing of the various research operations,
thereby making research as efficient as possible yielding maximal information with minimal
expenditure of effort, time and money. Different research designs can be conveniently described if we
categorize them as:(1) Research design in case of exploratory research studies;(2) Research design
in case of descriptive and diagnostic research studies, and(3) Research design in case of hypothesis
testing research studies.

In this way the researcher should review and build upon the work already done by others, but in
cases where hypotheses have not yet been formulated, his task is to review the available material
for deriving the relevant hypotheses from it. Besides, the bibliographical survey of studies,
already made in one s area of interest may as well as made by the researcher for precisely
formulating the problem. He should also make an attempt to apply concepts and theories developed
in different research contexts to the area in which he is himself working. Sometimes the works of
creative writers also provide a fertile ground for hypothesis formulation and as such may be looked
into by the researcher.

(b) Experience survey

This means the survey of people who have had practical experience with the problem to be studied.
The object of such a survey is to obtain insight into the relationships between variables and new
ideas relating to the research problem. For such a survey people who are competent and can
contribute new ideas may be carefully selected as respondents to ensure a representation of different
types of experience. The respondents so selected may then be interviewed by the investigator. The
researcher must prepare an interview schedule for the systematic questioning of informants. But the
interview must ensure flexibility in the sense that the respondents should be allowed to raise issues
and questions

Malaria In Cuba Essay
Malaria has been a major life threatening disease for thousands of years, and continues to threaten
millions of lives around the world. It infects approximately 219 million people each year, mostly
poor women and children. What is striking about malaria is the fact that it has the worse effect on
those with the least ability to fight the disease. The Republic of Cuba believes that malaria
prevention, treatment, and research efforts must be accelerated to eliminate the burden of this
disease across Africa, Asia, the Americas, and any country or territory at risk of malaria
transmissions.

Due to the fact that there is currently no risk of malaria in the Republic of Cuba, malaria is not an
issue in the Republic of Cuba. The Republic of Cuba however, would like to help countries or
