The American Liberation Of Japanese Antarctic
In 1945, following the surrender of Germany to the Allied Forces on May seventh, a series of
dialogues occurred between Harry Truman, Joseph Stalin, and Winston Churchill at the Potsdam
Conference as to how to end the war in the Pacific. The Potsdam Conference was Truman s first
major meeting with Churchill and Stalin, as he came into power after Roosevelt s death in April of
1945. President Harry Truman had two viable options for defeating Japan; a mainland invasion with
the aid of the Soviet Union, or using the recently tested atomic bomb on Japanese soil. When making
his decision of which method to use, Truman considered the fierceness with which the Japanese
protected their territories, the implications of each situation on Truman s negotiating power with
Stalin, and the speed at which each option would would bring the war to an end. The American
liberation of Japanese islands in the Pacific had proven to be very slow and militarily challenging,
which served as an indicator of the difficulties and scale of casualties that a mainland invasion may
involve. With the option of the atomic bomb, there would be no need for American military
intervention, meaning virtually no American casualties. If Truman were to choose land invasion, he
would need Stalin s help, giving Stalin power to make demands of Truman and Churchill. With the
use of the atomic bomb, Truman recognized that Stalin s requests would not need to be met as the
Soviet Union would not have any involvement in the
911 Crime Evidence
QUESTION PRESENTED
Whether 911 calls recorded from an unidentified woman during police investigation of the crime
scene that led to the arrest of Jerkson can be acceptable as present sense impression, an exception
to the hearsay rule? If the 911 recordings is acceptable as present sense impression will the
Prosecution be able to introduce it at trial?

FACTS
At 4:30 a.m. Ali Frazier approached a group including Tito Jerkson, Billy Ashho and four other
people at the corner of 175th Street and Monroe Avenue. Jerkson whom despised Frazier pulled out
an automatic rifle from his coat and shot Frazier. About two hours later, during police investigation
of the crime scene a series of 911 calls came from an unidentified woman who informed the operator

The rational for the present sense impression exception for hearsay stem from the notion that
statement is reliable because the contemporaneity of the event observed and the hearsay
statement describing it leaves no time for reflection. Thus, the likelihood of deliberate
misrepresentation or faulty recollection is eliminated. People v. Brown 80 N.Y.2d 729, 734, 610

Advantages And Disadvantages Of IOT
REQUIREMENTS OF DATABASES IN DIFFERENT IoT APPLICATIONS

Assistant professor,Department of CSE,SVCE,Bangalore,India ,[email protected]

Abstract In the recent years, the Internet of Things (IoT) is considered as a part of the Internet of
future and makes it possible for connecting various smart objects together through the Internet. The
use of IoT technology in applications has spurred the increase of real time data, which makes the
information storage and accessing more difficult and challenging.Different applcations of IoT
requires different types of databases. This paper discusses the different databases used for different
IoT applications.

Unlike relational databases, NoSQL databases are not set up to have tables with linked relationships.
There are several types of NoSQL databases, each with slightly different attributes defining how the
information is stored and displayed to the user.
The pros: NoSQL databases are generally more scalable than relational ones and performance is
generally not an issue. They are designed to expand transparently and horizontally using low cost
hardware.
The cons: NoSQL databases generally cannot handle the analytic processing of the data or joins,
which are common requirements for IoT applications. They employ low level query languages, and
do not accommodate transactions where data integrity needs to be preserved (such as in the banking
example above).
The reality is, the IoT requires characteristics of both relational [6] and NoSQL databases; the
flexibility of NoSQL, which allows different types of data to be stored, and the agility to adapt the
underlying data models to specific business requirements and applications, and the data integrity
aspects of the relational
African American Males s Education
African American males struggle every day to prove their worth in an educational setting. According
to society these young men are when it comes to their peers. Early education or daycare is a child s
first educational learning experience outside the home. However, not all African American males
have this experience. A handful of African Americanmales miss the opportunity to experience the
positive benefits of learning social and cognitive skills. As a result, the absence of the early education
effects the African American males ability to achieve higher learning. By the start of elementary
school, these young men are already behind their peers in learning new information. In an effort to
hide their lack of understanding they lose focus and become disruptive and begin to act like the class
clown. Although the blame shouldn t be placed solely on them, their teachers play a major role when
it comes to educating the youth. They have to discover what inspires each child, yet they always
seem to abandon the African American male s interest and individual learning style. Young men go
through the school system experiencing deficiency when it comes to their learning styles, due to the
lack of teachers understanding their circumstances and how to engage them. Every child, especially
African American males can have a chance to succeed in school if teachers have a full understanding
of their cultural and learning styles. Which leads them to seep through the education system,
A Brief Note On Mla And The American Medical Association (...
Writing is very important tools that we can use in studies. In a university they require 101 and

very important to start essay because it a way to start for example in a MLA we need, last name
and first name. It helped whom paper is that. There is other information are article title,
publication title, publication date, pages, database, web, and date you accessed it. Does all
citations for MLA. In other hand we can see APA. They is so many we can see different citations
and some are same we can finds. They use author last and first name and title of articles these two
always can finds in MLA. But there also some difference also can see in APA they are italicizes,
volume, edition, city of publication, publisher, and Copyright. That why there is different
citations we can finds for both MLA and APA. Perhaps essay not going to be complete with dose

Exotic Animal Research
The laws on having exotic animals is a very controversial topic. Most people think that there
should be stricter laws on the care and keeping of exotic animals. Two articles that talk about this
issue are State leaders say lion, tiger owners need more rules than the law of the jungle, (Newsela)
and Ohio exotic animals band to fix entirely unacceptable lack of laws. (Huffington Post) Both
articles say, for various reasons, that there should be more laws on exotic animals. In both articles
the authors wanted to inform the public about the laws and the reasons for them for exotic animals.
Enforcing more laws would keep the animalsand the general public much more safe. Both tell stories
of animals escaping or getting hurt in one way or

The Diels Alder step is the bottleneck of previous synthetic strategies due to its wasteful reaction and
low yield. Our synthetic strategy was able to produce the scaffold using the Diels Alder reaction and
high yield. This is due to the added solubility of the non functional anthracene. Unfortunately, our
total yield is lowered due to the alkylation of the scaffold. Reproducing the 98% yield will further
increase our total yield and goal. In the future, optimizing the alkylation step is necessary to reach the
previously reported yield. The next step in the synthesis is brominating the scaffold, which will
allow different functional groups to be added using metal catalysis. Sonagashira will be used to add
different functional groups. Since our strategy allows us to add functionality at the end with no
bottleneck reaction, Pentiptycene can be synthesized in higher quantity without wasting material.
Optimizing this synthesis will further the study of pentiptycene as novel material for molecular
machinery, polymers, and porous
Descriptive Essay On The Blue Ridge Mountains
It was finally time to take off. I had anticipated this trip south for several weeks. Now the last item
was packed in the RV and we were ready to hit the road. One of the things I enjoy most is getting
off the beaten path and traveling the backroads. And, we were going to be able to do that on most
of this trip. Part of the advantages of traveling the backroads is being able to take in some fantastic
views of this country s landscape, slowing down our pace enough to enjoy all the simple pleasures
along the way, and specifically on this trip, enjoying that native southern hospitality.

No matter how many times I see them, my heart always perks up when I first see those Blue Ridge
mountains. And, it is always an inspirational sight to behold when you see that mist rising in the
Smoky Mountains. However, I am just as awe struck by the magnificent views as you wind through
the Nantahala in North Carolina. Beautiful rapids and waterfalls are throughout this National Forest
also. It is spectacular!

As we made our way further south, crossing over in to Georgia, we were greeted by droves of cars
parked along the sides of the roads. People were enjoying the simple pleasure of whitewater rafting.
However, when you are the one pulling a 35 ft RV maneuvering through those hair pin turns,
trying to avoid the cars on both sides of the road, it doesn t seem like a pleasure; at least for the
moment. Then, in the middle of dodging the cars on the side of the road, a van stopped right in
front of us. No kidding, the van stopped in the middle of the lane on a blind curve to let their little
boy go to the bathroom. However, as you can well image, there are no bathrooms! Seriously, traffic
came to a complete halt in the Chattahoochee River National Park. We had to shake our head and
laugh at that one, thankful that no one got hurt! It is at times like this you have to laugh and say,
traveling the backroads is also an adventure!

After that it was smooth sailing. We finished out the last part of our trip driving through a beautiful
little college town. The picturesque setting of Young Harris is what I love about traveling the
backroads. It takes longer but you gain a glimpse of small town living. And then we pulled into
Compare And Contrast River Valley Civilizations
Civilization didn t always start out the way it is today. There was a lot of bloodshed and
conquering of other societies and cultures. As it is, civilizations didn t even emerge until around
3500 BCE. Before agricultural civilizations were formed, there were early agricultural societies that
had different beliefs and ways of living. When civilizationemerged, so did many rulers and empires.
Some of these empires were better than others and some were just downright awful. There are also
many cultures and beliefs from these historical empires that have stuck in today s modern society.
The term civilization is used throughout history within different countries, states, and time periods.
It has two main meanings and one of them is that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Persian Empire became very massive due to the leadership from Cyrus the Great and took in
many different languages and cultures. Cyrus conquered many different territories along the
Anatolia and a number of nomadic tribes. He was a gentle and strong ruler who had the respect
of the people. There were developments of roads, regular postal services, inns, and regulated tax
collections. The Persian Empire was also at the center of an emerging religion. The religion,
Zoroastrianism, became a major religion and it s the belief that people pick one of two sides and
then let a final judgement decide their fate. This religion became much more spiritual than the Greek
s religion and through the years, the Persian religion survived as well as the language and the

GANDHI S SOCIO POLITICAL THOUGHTS BY NON VIOLENCE

Abstract In the study of history of human civilization it is found that there was a continuous trend
of torturing the weak by more powerful individuals or groups, exploitation of the poor by the rich
and landed people, neglect of the illiterate by the educated people, socially overpowering women by
men and as such injustices. Such social injustices are a constant source of discontent giving rise to
conflicts. Instead of solving those conflicts they were always suppressed. In the progress of
civilization and development of humanistic attitude, people are now gradually getting more and
more concerned with Human Rights that demand social justice to all sections of the society.
Extreme poverty and illiteracy among a major section of the population is the greatest tragedy for
India. Also, in the global context a reasonable economic order through equitable distribution of
wealth among different nations and more particularly among the people of the same country is very
much needed to avoid conflicts and clashes.
Keeping aside these basic facts, only a slogan for peace can t change the society. In this context,
Gandhian socio political thought based on nonviolence can go a long way towards solving these
problems.

Quotes About Moral Courage

Moral courage. An ambiguous word used to describe the purpose of taking action for moral
reasons despite the risk of adverse consequences. Without us knowing, our moral courage is being
challenged each and every day in situations like being honest at the risk of criticism, or standing up
for what you believe in spite of being judged by other people. One s actions may be influenced by
the opinions of other people around them, hence why it can be challenging to gather up enough moral
courage to stand up alone or in opposition of other people. Tim, whom the perspective of the story

In Tim s case even though he admits to having an unhappy ending ,he ultimately did what was
morally right by participating in the Vietnam War. Although the process does require a physical
journey outside one s comfort zone towards self discovery. While some may argue that Tim ends
up losing his own internal battle because he sees himself as a coward for not following through
with political convictions. However, ultimately, he did achieve moral courage because in going to
the Vietnam War in the end shows his shows a strong sense of dutiful patriotism. Even though deep
down Tim is opposed to the idea of going to fight in a war he did not believe in, he ultimately knew
that he had a respectable responsibility to not only his country but his future wife, children and
family to partake in the Vietnam
Analysis Of Lone Ranger And Tonto Fistfight In Heaven
In a world where assimilation is the easiest way to survive, it can be difficult to maintain two
identities. The development of characters is the foundation in which people use to grow and
become successful in their path of life. Oppression, cultural changes, and pressure to conform to
the stereotypical image of success causes discontent among cultures. Many children have an ideal
image of who they want to be, and often their parents have a conflicting view on who they would
like to see their child become. In the story Two Kinds the Narrator has a rebellious attitude towards
the aspirations of her mother. The amount of pressure placed on her and her lack of success causes
sadness in the main charactersince she was not able to perform the way her mother wanted. Similarly,
the main character from The Lone Rangerand TontoFistfight in Heaven experiences a feeling of
inferiority from the racial discrimination and lack of financial success in his life. In the story Two
Kinds the Narrator does not want to become the prodigy her mother wishes her to be. The idea of
becoming a famous actor or musician, like Shirly Temple, was a noble idea from her mother since
she only wanted to see her daughter succeed. The pressure she placed on her daughter to follow her
orders and be obedient, however, was not in the likeness of the daughter s interests. This example is
evident when the author s mother states [There are] Only two kinds of daughters, she shouted in
Chinese. Those who are obedient and those who follow their mind! Only one kind of daughter can
live in this house. (Tan 242) The fight that occurs between the narrator and her mother causes a
sudden shift in tone, which indicates that the mother no longer held the same high Johnson 2
expectation from her daughter. Throughout the story, the main character struggles with her identity.
The narrator s family was
