The Helicopter Flight Controls Of Fly By Wire System
ABSTRACT
Helicopter is known for being extremely challenging to fly. The helicopter flight controls enables
the pilot to attain a controlled flight. The flight controls differ drastically when compared to the
fixed wing aircraft. The advancement in flight controls namely fly by wire system has resulted in
reducing the complexity of the system. The state of the art fly by wire system has resulted in
increasing the performance and at the same time reduces the workload of a pilot. The four main
controls include collective pitch control, cyclic pitch control, throttle control and anti torque pedals.
The employment of fly by wire has thus paved way for reduction in weight whilst providing more
space for comfort and effortless handling. The commercial helicopter are beginning to utilize the fly
by wire technology after being tried and tested by fixed wing aircraft and military helicopter. The
goal of this technical essay is to provide an overview of the evolution helicopter flight controls from
the earlier complex analog phase to the present simplified digital phase.
Introduction
In the early 1920s, designing the rotors to attain an efficient flight was the utmost priority. The next
decade was followed by, perfection of control systems and its mechanism for a real world flight
capability. The flight control system is an element of the aircraft control loop which is essential for
the pilot. When evaluating the aspects of an ideal helicopter the first facet to be considered is

learned when people come in with one problem they may actually have many more problems that
have to lead to this one big problem they have come to counselling for or have been referred to go
to counselling for. I feel in a way this assignment has shown me how difficult it can be to work
with specific clients because it could take sessions before I get all the answers I should be able to

one theory to treat a client is not enough sometimes two or more theories are what is needed

Smoking Informative Essay
Smoking accounts for more than 440,000 deaths in the U.S. every year. There are many dangers
when you smoke. In fact, when burned, cigarettes create more than 7,000 chemicals, and around
70 of these are known to cause cancer. The majority of smokers today started before they were 18,
and still today, 4,000 kids try their first cigarette. These kids start because of peer pressure or
because their parents are smokers. Second hand smoke is also a problem. It accounts for 50,000
deaths per year and many other health effects. Preventing this may seem easy, but it is not so. Fifty
percent of high school students have attempted to quit and around 70% of adults say they want to
quit. What s keeping them from quitting? The addictive chemicals in the... Show more content on

Forty thousand people die from second hand smoke every year. That s more than a hundred
people every day. Second hand smoke comes in two forms: Sidestream smoke, which is smoke
from the end of a cigarette, pipe, etc., and mainstream smoke, which is smoke exhaled by the
smoker. Second hand smoke puts people at risk, even if they don t smoke. It is especially
dangerous to children, pregnant woman, and the elderly. Second hand smoke slows lung growth in
children, and when exposed to second hand smoke when pregnant, is can cause problems with the
baby like a miscarriage, stillborn, low birth weight, and other delivery complications. All of these
dangers can be
Papilledema Case Studies
2. Case presentation
2.1. Clinical presentation and history
An obese 41 year old woman was admitted to Rasool Akram Hospital presenting with a headache,
blurred vision, anxiety, and mental depression. She had been treated with acetazolamide for the
management of papilledema, which was unsuccessful, so she was referred to us. Her body mass
index was 38 kg/m2. Her medical history showed consumption of Fluoxetine, Inderal, Haloperidol,
Desipramine, and Artan, which were prescribed by her previous psychologist.
2.2. Diagnostic measures
A neuro ophthalmologist observed swelling in her bilateral optic disc. Visual field perimetry and
visual acuity were in the normal range. Other general and neurological examinations did not reveal
any abnormalities. The laboratory analysis of her blood showed hyperglycemia due to unmanaged
diabetes mellitus (FBS: 180 mg/dl, normal range: 70 100 mg/dl) and hyperprolactinemia (Prolactin:
98 ng/mL, normal range: 2 29 ng/ml). A lumbar puncture was performed to evaluate her
cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Although she consumed a 250 mg tablet of Acetazolamide every eight
hours, her lumbar puncture opening pressure was 33 cm H2O. Biochemistry and cytological
analysis of CSF were within normal limits (Protein: 10 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

treated with medications, such as Promethazine and Trifluoperazine. Her nausea and headache were
exacerbated, and she was readmitted. Her computed tomography (CT) scan of the brain indicated left
frontotemporoparietal subacute subdural hematoma with subfalcine herniation (Figure 3). In her
second surgery, the left parietal Burr Hole was performed, and the subdural hematoma was
evacuated. The post operative period was uneventful, and her symptoms disappeared. Her delay brain

##s And Weaknesses And Strengths Of Rudy Giuliani
Like all famous leaders, Rudy Giuliani had his fair share of strengths and weaknesses. Giuliani
showed the country and the world what true leadership was in the wake of 9/11. During a time of
crisis, he demonstrated courageousness, dedication and composure. Even though Giuliani is mostly
remembered for his strengths, his weaknesses are usually overlooked. He was criticized for being
unfaithful and allowing lust to break up his marriage. Another weakness of Giuliani was his
inconsistency to reprimand his policeforce. Giuliani was a man of positivity. No matter the
situation, Giuliani always looked at the positive side of things and didn t allow his emotions to get
the best of him. This strength of his leadership style stemmed from the core values his father taught
him. In an interview with Barbara Walters, Giuliani talked about what his father taught him.
Giuliani explained that his father had taught him how to act during a crisis: When there is a crisis
going on, the most important thing is to be calmer. If everybody s getting very upset and very
emotional, the best way to figure out your way through it is to actually become calmer and relax
more. He understood that when in a time of uncertainty, being calm was the key. Another key
strength of Giuliani was how he was a natural born leader. NYPD Commissioner William Bratton
commented on Giuliani s natural born leadership. I ve seen the mayor in many instances during the
time I worked with him as police commissioner
Temperature, Temperature And Gas Solubility
Temperature
Temperature is a measurement of the average kinetic energy (or speed) of atoms or molecules (Khan
Academy, 2017). The most typical units of temperature include degrees Celsius (oC), its American
equivalent Fahrenheit (F) or Kelvin (K).
At standard temperature, 0oC corresponds to 273 K. However, 0K is commonly referred to as the
absolute zero degree where all molecular motion would cease.
Temperature and gas solubility:
Generally, increasing temperature would cause a comparable rise in the solubility of liquid and solid
solutes in liquid solvents.
A specific example includes the crystallisation of a concentrated mannitol solution at low
temperatures and the redissolving of those solid crystals as upon heating. However, ... Show more

The particles in liquids, on the other hand, although still close within the proximity of one another,
are in random arrangements, having slightly more space to move. As the particles are still held
close, liquids also exhibit high densities. Water, however, is a prominent exception, being different
as it is denser as a liquid than a solid. Upon freezing, the water particles separate slightly, forming
crystal lattices with space between each particle that allow icebergs and ice cubes to stay afloat the
water (BBC, 2017).
Water, nevertheless, is much denser than air as gas particles have considerable space between one
and another. Water molecules, therefore, exert greater pressure on a diver s body as he descend into
the ocean than air particles would on a pilot ascending into the sky. This serves to justify why the
change in pressure is much greater for a given depth in water than for the same rise in air.
Volume
Volume can be defined as the quantity of three dimensional space occupied by a liquid, solid or
gas and is one of the most commonly used measurements worldwide. Several of the most typical
unites of volume include litres, millilitres, cubic metres, cubic centimetres and gallons
(Helmenstine, 2017). For instance, a 10 metre high rectangular tank with a base that is 4 metres in
length and 6 metres in width would be able to hold 10 metres x 4 metres x 6 metres = 240 cubic
Enzyme Catalase Background
Jocelyn Yee
Block 6
Enzyme Catalase Background Catalases are enzymes that stop cell oxidative damage. In some cases,
they help by reducing hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen gas. (Journal of the American
Chemical Society, 2009). They are present in anything that is exposed to oxygen. Though oxygen is
used to power cells, they become dangerous if not controlled. If electrons are transferred, they are
easily converted into dangerous substances such as hydrogen peroxide which attack vital atoms and
iron ions in proteins. To intensify the problem, the free iron ions can change hydrogen peroxide into
different radicals that are deadly to DNA. The catalase uses those iron ions to speed up the process.
They are a tetrameric enzyme that is made ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The independent variables are the range of temperatures and the range of hydrogen peroxide
concentration. The dependent variable is the rate of catalase activity. The Catalase was taken
from beef liver and was placed into a shaking thermostat machine to test for the amount of oxygen.
The range of temperatures tested were 9.2 degrees to 30 degrees Celsius. The thermostat was
filled with water at a specific temperature while the catalase was placed into six different bottles.
A concentration of hydrogen peroxide was also added. With all firmly in place, the thermostat
machine shook them for around a hundred times per minute. The entire reaction was examined at
the pH of 7. The amount of oxygen was recorded for each temperature range and concentration. In
conclusion, the catalase activity is the highest between 0 degrees and 10 degrees C because the
amount of oxygen recorded was the greatest. When the temperature rose, the rate of catalase
decreased. Between 10 to 20 degrees C, the catalase s activity was smaller than the activity
produced between 0 degrees and 10 degrees. Finally, between 20 to 30 degrees C, the catalase
production rate was the lowest out of the three temperature ranges. Also, when the temperature was
decreased while the H2O2 concentration was increased, the catalase s activity was high and it
plateaued for some time possibly due to the amount of H2O2. To conclude, when

Social Commentary in Hollywood War Films
Hollywood film is a powerful twentieth century art form that has provided entertainment and social
commentary since its creation. Film can be used to portray history on the silver screen. Directors
can use their films to portray social commentary about current issues. A popular social issue
throughout history is war. Directors can use their war films to promote pro war or anti war
movements. Films have the ability to influence the public and provoke thought amongst them about
any social issue. The power of film has the ability to present the audience with history while
providing social commentary.
Nearly one third of Hollywood movies touch on history and one of the many historical events
being war. The Civil War was the first embraced war by Hollywood. It was the first war
photographed therefore, Hollywood knew what people and events looked like. At the time Civil
War movies were produced by Hollywood there were still living relatives of those who were in the
Civil War. There were not as many World War Ifilms as other wars. These films were used to jazz
up the public for World War II like Sergeant York or as an anti war film like Paths of Glory. World
War II films on the other hand were Hollywood s most filmed war. These films were mostly
patriotic, as America was fighting for its future, with some slightly cynical. Hollywood saw a
shifting tone with the Korean War
The Nature And Existence Of God
The existence of suffering in the world provides a case against the existence of God as the problem
of evil. It seems that the God of classical theism is incompatible with the reality of the world around
us; could such an all loving, all powerful and all knowing God exists in conjunction with instances of
immense and seemingly pointless suffering? It does seem unlikely that such a Godexists alongside
evil. However, it is questionable whether this is a proof that God does not exist.
The problem of evil which forms as; is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not
omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then
whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? (Lactanitus). Epicurus
here challenges the properties we associate with God, suggesting that those properties do not add up
to reality and be consistent with perceived belief about the nature and existence of God. We can form
the problem into an inconsistent triad (J.L Mackie, 212) which runs that God is omnipotent,
omnibenevolent and evil exists. He postulates that no valid solution of the problem which does not
modify at least one of the constituent propositions , positing that is would be impossible to remove
one of the characteristics of God without moving the image of God so far away from our traditional
understanding that it becomes unrecognisable and the problem still remains.

Tristan Social Norms
Also Tristan may imply that even though love has an uncontrollable and powerful control, it
doesn t come without a cost, as when Marke finds out of the relationship between Tristan and
Isolde, Tristan is forced to flee to Normandy (Von Strassburg 284)4. Tristan finally represents the
change of social norms in the twelfth century. One major change of the social norm would be the
quest of real love rather than arranged marriages. Isolde and Marke s marriage was a literal
arranged marriage, and as it was shown in the romance, neither one of them were truly happy. With
true love of Isolde and Marke, they were much happier. While it only affected the nobility and
people of upperclass, it encouraged the desire of finding true love, and not just
An Evaluation Of An Innovative Contribution Of My Work
Research Statement Mohamad S Hasan Modern technological advancements in automated data
production have produced a large increase in the scale and resolution of data sets. In a statistical
context, more information generates more hypothesis tests and opens new dimensions to discover
the targeted questions. However, many of the tests are redundant and, hence, reduce the efficiency
of the analysis. One potential solution to this problem is using external information to prioritize the
hypothesis tests most likely to yield true positive effects. One means of doing so is p value
weighting. Many statistical methods have been proposed to up weight and down weight the p value
in a multiple hypotheses setting. None of them are satisfactory, which necessitate extensive research
in this area. My methodological and theoretical research as well as a considerable portion of my
applied work addresses this issue with regard to high throughput and big data. An innovative
contribution of my work is the establishment of a new perspective on the analysis of high throughput
data for which relative effect sizes are very low and the true effect is hard to detect with the usual
statistical analysis, although external sources of information suggests otherwise. We proposed a
method referred to as Novel Optimal P value weighting for High Throughput Data . Many studies
have that suggested diverse methodologies regarding the p value weighting. Even though,
theoretically, these approaches propose
