Proper waste disposal reduces the impact of waste into the atmosphere by observing the proper
methods of disposing. Because improper disposal of our wastes imposes cost on others, waste
disposal has been a big political issue. Dirty disposal methods such as dumping are big problems
nowadays. Though the easiest among any method, it creates health risks for the public. Waste
disposal was not always observed and monitored properly; therefore, everyone must comply with the
methods used in order to achieve environmental advantages. Achieving this awareness in proper
waste disposal is important to lessen the waste we dispose improperly.
Discussion
Waste disposal is either disposing our wastes in water, on land, or anywhere. Waste is usually
managed where it can prevent the releasing of pollutants in our environment. Before disposing
our wastes, it is a must that they may be classified according to its physical, chemical, and
biological characteristics. By classifying them according to consistency is the major way of
classification; whether it is a liquid waste, a solid waste, or sludge. Liquid wastes must be less
than 1% solid. On the other hand, solid wastes must contain less than 70% water. Sludge is another
classification of waste materials; being somewhere in between a liquid and a solid. It must contain
3 and 25% solid and the rest is made up of water.
Hazardous and Non hazardous Wastes One must also know how to
Idio Culture Essay
In the text (page 394) a third place is where people for to publicly gather for conversation or
camaraderie when not at home or work. Commonly these places will support a variety of lifestyle
enclaves (page 394) or groups of like minded people who share similar interest. These people also
can form their own Idioculture (page 395) by taking part in the common customs and practices of
those who gather. It is also possible for a civil society (page 395) to form to promote social bonds
and the smooth function of society outside of government. An example of this would be participated
in a church group whose purpose is fellowship, and providing aid to their fellow man. These people
would also be demonstrating communitarianism (page394) because
Arts Is An Institution Of Higher Education
Wesleyan is an institution of higher education, and I would place education at the center of all fine
arts programming.
Many of us are aware of the transformative power of Arts performances and exhibits. I ll call this
arts enrichment. The Arts reach deeply into our unconscious minds and make an imprint beyond
where the written or spoken word can go. The Arts open minds to pluralistic thinking and banish
barriers between various groups within the human race without in your face politics or flag waving
sentimentality. With subtlety of expression, the Arts elevate us to our best selves, and our society to
both its cultural differences and oneness. But many of us know this.
Arts Education (capital E) is a noble pursuit to which I devote much of my life and career. Every
student needs the vocabulary, skills and perceptions gained by studying Art, Culture and the
Humanities. Too many people say, I took piano for a few years, but I quit, or I saw the movie, why
go out on a rainy night to see the play, unaware that music belongs to us all, art belongs to us all,
and a cathartic experience in a darkened theater makes us think, feel and become more human. Art
is as much a way for us to understand ourselves as knowing our history or understanding the laws of
physics. Art is not for artists and talented people, art is for us all, but some students may not see the
relevance of attending an art opening when final exams are looming.
Beyond arts enrichment and Arts Education, is the
Interpersonal Attraction Rating Of A Social Stigma...
The goal of this study was to measure interpersonal attraction as a means of determining whether or
not there was a social stigma associated with different loneliness states and race. The dependent
variable in this study was the interpersonal attraction rating while the loneliness state and race were
the independent variables. Both race and loneliness state had the potential to impact the interpersonal
attraction rating of the characters. According to the results from this study, the null hypothesishad to
be rejected. There was a significant difference between lonely and nonlonely states. The first
alternate hypothesispredicted that lonely people would exhibit less interpersonal attraction than
nonlonely people. This could be accepted. However, the second alternate hypothesis could not be
accepted because there was no significant difference between Hispanic and White conditions, despite
that the hypothesis predicted that Hispanics would be judged more harshly. The third and fourth
alternate hypotheses, which predicted that the Hispanic condition would be less likeable in both
loneliness states, could not be accepted based on the data of this study. By accepting the first
alternate hypothesis, the researchers uphold the findings of Lau and Gruen (1992). Their data
indicated that there was a greater social stigma associated with lonely people than nonlonely people.
While Lau and Gruen (1992) found that the stigma interacted with gender, lonely women were
judged more harshly
Leadership Theory, Leadership, And Leadership Theories
Leadership is the action taken to inspire and motivate followers through guiding, coaching, and
mentoring. It encompasses dedication to followers, which fosters trust and commitment to the
organization. Leadership is also an integral organizational role that serves to unify the team, towards
a common goal and a shared vision (Northouse, 2013). Additionally, Kotter (2001) indicates that the
leader is essential to effect organizational change. Hence, change is the specific action that the
leader is responsible for. Greanleaf (2008) further identifies the dedicated leader primarily as a
servant. Given this definition, it leads us to a more in depth conversation, concerning the leadership
theories. It is important to study leadership theories, because they provide a greater understanding of
the leader s influence within an organization. Because of the unlimited variety, I must narrow these
to the three most influential theories that have influenced my leadership philosophy. With this in
mind, we will further the discuss transformational leadership, servant leadership, and authentic
leadership theories. Primarily, transformational leadership is primarily focused on the charismatic
aspects of the leader. Equally important are it s characteristics of change and transformation because
followers become motivated to transcend their own self interests for the good of the group or
organization (Bass Avolio, 1990a, as cited in Northouse, 2013, p. 194). Transformational
Central Arkansas Community Development
The University of Central Arkansas has been expanding its edges since it was the Arkansas State
Normal School in 1907. Over a span of a hundred and nine years, the campus has developed into a
three hundred and forty two acre plot. Having the vision of being a public destination that integrates
the 21st century learning environment with the urban vitality of Conway and the greater region
(Reynolds, 2011). With the latest development of the Collegeof Business, Donaghey Hall, and Lewis
Science Center, UCA is featuring exemplary live/learn/work/play environments and opportunities
that engage the learner, satisfy the curious, inspire the creative and attract the larger Conway
community.

Studies show that education, training, and incentives are causing university students to become more
concerned with their environment and the environment of the next generation (Levy and Dilwali,
2000). Providing the opportunity to live in a sustainably built environment has become an important
differentiating factor among universities around the world and is becoming increasingly important
to students in terms of both how they adopt sustainable practices and their choice of a university.
The majority of students and their parents are making acceptance decisions based on a university s
environmental commitment (Princeton Review, 2012). If the University of Central Arkansas would
raise the facility fee, then the higher percentage rates
Justice What s The Right To Do Analysis
In the book, Justice What s The Right To Do by Michael Sandel. Michael Sandel brings up the
free market and asks those reading whether or not the free market is fair. He asks if we should be
able to sell anything we have on our body to sell, or that we shouldn t due to moral reasons such
as selling body parts, or sex. Why is it that donating a kidney is looked at with with praise while
some argue selling your kidney is seen as morally wrong, Is selling body parts or even sex for
payment unethical or ethical, at what point do we cross the line between immoral and moral. I
agree, though with some reservations. For instance only allow the selling of certain body parts if
the body is born with a pair of it for instance kidneys. Both kidneys are healthy and you can spare
one without damaging your own health. Even liver transplants won t damage your health as the
liver heals fairly quickly and leaves nothing but a scar, bone marrow transplants are also safe since
bone marrow and liver are regenerative. Selling of body parts would need to be heavily regulated to
protect the health of the donor and the receiver, the government must regulate this heavily and
determine a reasonable compensation for the donor.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Al Capone made a hundreds of dollars during the prohibition because alcohol was illegal. Illegal
harvesting is a problem because there is not a regulated market. An average of twenty people die
a day while on the waiting list for transplants. Something must be done. The way the system is
now, is not working far too many people are die on a waiting list. If one were able to sell their
organs for profit it would motivate living and healthy donors who may be in a financial situation to
donate and save a life while doing

Re: Corporate, Civil, and Criminal Liability of Film Company
I.Ideal Corporate Structure
Condition One, Inc. ( C1 ) should structure itself as a parent/holding company and establish a
secondary subsidiary entity ( C2 ) through which it can undertake riskier projects, specifically any
acts likely to expose C1 s employees, members, or officers to criminal or civil liability. As a parent
company, C1 has both the option of establishing (or in this case, maintaining) a C corporation ( C
Corp ) or a limited liability company ( LLC ). C2 should be structured as an LLC through a Delaware
Statutory Trust ( DST ).
II.Breakdown of Proposed Structures
C Corporation
A C Corp is typically used ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Typically, a business entity subjects itself to the laws of the state in which it is sued as a component
of conducting business in that state. Int l Shoe v. Washington, 326 U.S. 310 (1945). There is some
inconsistency, however, when applying this rule in court. There are several Constitutional provisions
that lean either way when applying state law to a foreign corporation, including the Due Process
Clause, the Contract Clause, the Commerce Clause, and the Equal Protection Clause. Typically
states have wide latitude in applying state business law to an entity conducting business within its
Anesthesiologists
Anesthesiologists are responsible for monitoring the amounts of medicine given to the patient, blood
pressure, heart rate, and breathing. They also help make procedures safe and secure. Before
anesthesia was discovered other methods were used to numb or induce sleep. Native Americans and
other groups used natural herbs such as coca leaves, marijuana, and Jimsonweed to offer pain relief,
sedation, or amnesia during surgery. However, in 1846 a dentist name Dr. William Morton
performed a procedure removing a tumor from a patient s jaw at Massachusetts General Hospital,
changing everything. Before the surgery, Dr. Morton soaked a sponge with ether to make his patient
go unconscious and after the patient woke up, they claimed to not have any memory... Show more

They also have to follow strict medical guidelines, anesthetists must take into account the patient s
current health medications they are currently taking, and type or surgery that is being done. During
surgery, the anesthesiologist monitors the patient s critical life signs to make sure there are no
complications. Also, after the surgery, the patient remains being monitored as the anesthesia wears
off. They must also assist with chronic and cancer related pain treatment, cardiac and respiratory,
resuscitation, blood transfusions, and watch over nurse anesthesiologists. They are also
responsible for recording the type and amount of drugs given, and the condition of the patient
before, during, and after sedation. There are also different kinds of anesthesia. There are three
main types of anesthesia known as: local, regional, and general. Local anesthesia is usually
injected to numb a specific body part that requires minor surgery, for example, on a hand and foot.
Regional anesthesia numbs an area of your body for surgery. You can be awake or you can be
sedated. This is most used for spinal and epidural anesthesia when someone is giving childbirth or
having prostate surgery. General anesthesia is when you are unconscious and fully unaware of
anything.
Food For All Personal Statement
Growing up in a house that valued personal rights and freedoms, I have always been surrounded
by the notation that everyone has the right to a fulfilling, positive, and safe life. I mean, when my
birth was announced, my father praised the nurses union strike that prevented me from being
born in the hospital near us. I recognize that justice and compassion are the founding principle of
who I am today. I went to my first protest against animal cruelty in the circus when I was 5 weeks
old. Ever since then, I have worked hard to better the treatment of animals and people. In my
school, I am in the International Baccalaureate Program. One of the clubs offered to IB students
was Food for All. When I heard about it, I knew I had to join, because I knew the program aligned
well with my career goals. I aim to major in International Relations and minor in Peace and
Conflict resolution. I hope to join the Peace Corps as well. I feel like if I can better the local
community, I can better the international community. Food For All takes a lot of organisation, which
is something I personally struggle with. In order for the program to run... Show more content on

They provide the containers for the food. I am very grateful for their help, because 100 meals
costs around $100, the provided materials helps us save money for the next time. The hardest part
of running Food for All last year was we were given a broke, run down program. Our biggest issue
was reviving such an amazing program, both financially and volunteer wise. When one other girl
and I took over the program, we were the only ones who cooked and delivered meals, and we had
to provide out of pocket money for the food a couple times. We worked through that by making
Food for All fun for everyone. We got new volunteers and as soon as a couple new people joined,
many more followed. Now we have around 10 regular volunteers and due to our fund raising and
the Go Fund Me, we have money in the
Section Of 1 Corinthians 12-13 In The Harpercollins Study...
The first section of the note on 1 Corinthians 12:12 13 in the HarperCollins Study Bible leads the
reader to contemplate the issue of unity in the body of Christ, the lack of which is arguably the
origin of most, if not all of the issues facing the Corinthian church. The Christians in Corinth were
challenged with several internal problems, many of which could have been solved by the members
seeking unity in their diversity. Paul introduces the idea that the church should function as the body
of Christ, valuing the abilities and roles that Godchose for each member. The first part of the note
states, Like certain other ancient writers, Paul regards the human body as illustrating the point that
unity and diversity are not incompatible, applying... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Corinthians had a way of self praise and boasting over their superior actions. They would
speak in tongues and prophecy in public not to benefit others who are in attendance but, in Paul s
view, simply to elevate themselves in the eyes of others (Bart Ehrman, A Brief Introduction to the
New Testament, p. 228). In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul lists the variety of gifts that various members
of the church possess, saying that the Spirit has assigned each gift to each individual. Paul wants
the Corinthians to understand that God has given the individuals in the community distinctive
roles and gifts that, when used appropriately, better the church as a whole. To emphasize the
importance of unity in the church, Paul writes, For just as the body is one and has many
members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ (1 Cor
12:12). Paul shows how each member of the church has imperative value, just as each part of the
body is essential for it to work properly. The Corinthians problem of boasting would fade away as
soon as they acknowledge that there is value in the diversity of the members of the church. God
placed each person in the role that He intends for them to fill and everyone must recognize His
placement. Greater than all other gifts is the gift of love. Love is crucial because it builds up the
community and strengthens every believer, regardless of their differences. Paul stresses that the
most excellent gift is love, writing If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but have not
love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all
mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I
am nothing (1 Cor
Causes Of Age-Related Macular Degeneration
Patients with age related macular degeneration may not notice any symptoms at first. The first
noticeable sign is a gradual, or sudden, change in the quality of vision depending on which type of
AMD is occurring. Straight lines will start to appear distorted (Kozarsky, 2017). Early dry AMD is
diagnosed by the presence of drusen. This gradually can cause a dramatic loss of the center of
vision. In the intermediate stage of AMD, the beginnings of vision loss are apparent, but there still
may not be any other noticeable symptoms. At this time, optometrists will test for larger drusen and
pigment changes in the retina ( Research into the Genetics of Macular Degeneration, 2017). Other
symptoms of age related macular degeneration might include an
