To begin, there are several causes of the rising rate

of obesity. People today have a tendency to

consume fast food, which contains high levels of
fat/has high fat content, which could accumulate
inside the body and result in weight gain.
Moreover, due to unhealthy habits, such as
overeating and lack of exercise, excess calories
cannot be burnt and will be converted to fat, which
builds up in the body. Hectic schedules also
discourage (>< encourage) people from participating
in physical activities as they are required to meet
their deadlines, leaving them no time for such
exercise.
There are a variety of solutions for this problem.
Individuals should reduce their fast food
consumption and prepare their meals at home. This
is because when people cook at home, they can
ensure that the ingredients are more nutritious and
healthy compared with fast food. In this way, their
diet could feature less fat and carbohydrates and
more fibrous content, helping them control their
calorie intake and weight.
