English Version Encoder Adjust

The document outlines the procedures for checking motor body electrical parameters, including insulation resistance and armature winding inspection. It details the steps for dismounting and installing an encoder, including specific tools and techniques required for each step. Additionally, it provides a correspondence table for socket pin numbers and wire colors for the Tamagawa encoder.

一、Motor body electrical parameters check

1、 Insulation resistance check

Using 500V/1000V megohmmeter to detect insulation resistance between armature
winding and case, ≥20M normal
2、 The armature winding inspection
Subject to site conditions, threephase winding resistance is only used for testing
the balance, if using low resistance tester and the line resistance is 1.0Ω ± 10% then it
will be normal. If using multimeter, deviation of threephase resistance please reference the
front percentage.

Excluding motor body and control system problems, take the following process to replace
encoder.

二、encoder dismount

First, using a screwdriver cross counterclockwise rotation to dismount 4 pieces M4 screws of the
rear cover in order to open rear cover.

1、
Use 2.5#mm hexangular wrench counterclockwise to remove two pieces M3x8 hex screws which
used to fix encoder spring.
2、
Fixed rotor shaft, with a screwdriver cross counterclockwise dismantling M4x25 round head
screws in the encoder center hole.
(Note: the length of the screw is used for NEMICON encoder, TAMAGAWA encoder uses
M4x20 round head screws)
3、
Use M5x20 hex bolt clockwise screw in encoder center hole, then use 4 # hex wrench screw
clockwise revolve M5x20 hex bolt, until the encoder out from cone shaft.
(Note: when rotate a wrench slightly, encoder should be out immediately; if not, please do not
force.)

3、
After dismantling 4 pieces encoder socket screws with a screwdriver cross, dismantle plug
base, then use electric iron with good grounding shield to weld encoder leads and plug base,
and encoder leads and plug base will be separate.
At this point the encoder demolition is completed.
三、Encoder installation

1、
Preparations, to trim the leads of TAMAGAWA encoder, and use electric iron with good
grounding shield to tinplate on the leads and pins of plug base.

2、
To make encoder leads into a suitable shrinkable tube, details please see the dismantling
encoder.

3、
Make encoder wiring harness out from plug base hole in the rear cover, then embolia Rubber pad
according to the requirements(please see the table) to weld. And please make sure the weld spot is
full and bright and there is no empty welding and non buildmargin welding.

4、
To make plug base aligne to the rear cover position, use screwdriver cross to fix and install 4
pieces screws in the rear cover.

5、
To check if there is burr need to trim in the cone axis of encoder.

6、
To make taper hole embolia axis of a cone, to screw in clockwise M4x20 Round screw in the
encoder center hole and screw 2 pieces M3x8 hex screws which used to fix encoder spring.
Please pay attention to do not tight 3 screws in order to adjust zero position..
7、
Adjust zero position (when digitron in driver appears +/0 ~10 which means zero position is
ok)

8、
After finished adjusting zero position, fix motor shaft and tight 3 screws in the 6 step.

9、
Check zero position if it is right, otherwise need to adjust zero position again.

10、

To make encoder leads counterclockwise around the encoder excircle, close rear cover and tight
up 4 pieces M4 screws round head.
