I have outlined for myself a specific learning path for my future learning and
development. Opening to 2 main majors
. Major:
1. Logistics and supply chain management
In the field of logistics and supply chain management, which makes me feel
stimulated to learn new knowledge such as calculation ability, analytical and
problem-solving skills in import and export which help me clearly understand
and carefully evaluate global economic levels. Simultaneously, by learning
these knowledge and skills will open new opportunities to help me approach
new explorations, various new challenges that help me feel more confident
and not scare when faced with troubles. Furthermore, through this major, it
will also greatly support my dream seafood import and export career.
2. People and Organization
Choosing People and Organization is extremely necessary for optimizing
company operations, workforce efficiency and it also supports my logistics
and supply chain management major. This major emphasizes how to
efficiently manage and lead teams, clearly understand strengths and
weaknesses of each person, connect and enhance positive relationships
between teammates and organization to ensure smooth and efficient
progress.
And then, continuing to 2 minors that directly support my majors
. Minor:
1. Economics
By studying economic major is highly beneficial for a field in logistics and
supply chain. It helps me equip skills to analysis and optimize the cost,
forecast the financial risks of market and market demands to make informed
decisions and logical strategies to respond to the global conditions. By
leveraging these insights, can help me enhance the effectiveness of
company operation and give efficient solutions if incidents happen.
2. Entrepreneurship
With entrepreneurship major, which will give me a great comprehensive skills
set that really supports start-up progress. You will learn fundamental skills in
operating a business. By planning and implementing business strategies,
additionally, the necessary skills such as efficient optimizing and managing
financial, problem-solving skills and leadership will help me achieve every
future goal smoothly, clearly understand issues and connect to people with
other entrepreneurs and organizations. From this course, I can start my
business easier without any problems.
. Other RMIT programs:
Exchange program is an awesome program when is a key can change a
person’s entire life. With changing in educational environment will be created
many the acquisition of new advanced knowledge, access to advanced
learning equipment and great courses. From that, I gonna gain insights into
culture, company operations and diverse perspectives on issues. These
things would open a lot of opportunities in finding jobs that are suitable for
my main major, helping me growth myself better, extremely support and
would be beneficial for my future work.
. Reflect and Connect:
By cultivating the essential skills for 4 years studying at RMIT through
courses in economics and entrepreneurship will help and support me thrive
easily in first steps of start-up business. Simultaneously, logistics and supply
chain management and people organizations major if combine with study
abroad program, it will give me various perspectives of human and also
different logistics problems and efficient solutions. Through a comprehensive
approach, I aim to become an expert in my professional field.
Purpose:
I am living in a digital technology era where everything you need will be had
just by a click on your smart devices such as smartphones, tablets and
computers. So that, I have chosen to study business major, specifically
Logistics and Supply Chain management with People and Organizations to
gain a deep understanding of customer purchasing needs, human factors,
how to optimize, efficiently coordinate the cost and time delivering and
manage teams or organizations.
Besides that, I have also chosen some minors like Economics and
Entrepreneurship to support my two main majors in parallel. By choosing
take courses at RMIT, where provide a diverse and dynamic learning
environment for students and lecturers and possess comprehensive foreign
advanced curriculum along with professional teams who always dedicate and
wholeheartedly support students in the teaching process.
Along with that, combining with amazing programs such as exchange
programs that will be opening for me a lot of growth opportunities,
expanding sources of knowledge through an open studying environment,
supporting finding suitable jobs and equipped me with many necessary skills
such as communication and problem analysis.
Through this approach, I aim for myself to gain a comprehensive knowledge
of many aspects of majors and delve into business ethics and apply
professional knowledge I learn most effectively.
Strengths: My strength is summarized by 3 main strengths in Creativity,
Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence that greatly enrich both my personal
and professional lives.
Creativity drives me always to explore and seek out new initiatives and think
outside my box. In addition, it helps me open new perspectives to different
challenges and create more effective new solutions and more creative ideas.
However, my teammates often reject some my ideas and suppose that they
are impossible. With me, I always cherish everything comes to the world is
stunning. Appreciation of Beauty & Excellence allows me to realize and
celebrate the different beautiful values in every aspect of life, from the skills
or talents to the morals of people. This strength has always motivated me,
emotionally connected between me with people and me with stunning things
around me and inspires me to maintain high standards in everything around
me. Finally, I’m always grateful for what I have, am having and will receive
from people who have always created opportunities for me, supported and
helped me a lot. Due to my characteristic is always grateful for everything,
so that I usually receive the backing and helping from others, and I always
cherish that help even when it is terrible instead of blaming and moaning to
them.
Based on my Democratic leadership style, if I were a leader of team, I would
exalt the spirit of teamwork, I also participate in group activities and works,
give breakthroughs initiatives and together deal with problems. Team
members would feel more confident, more satisfied and more enthusiastic
when the leader participates.
Global Challenges:
One of global challenges that I care about is global economic disruption after
ended up of COVID pandemic and Ukraine and Russia war have happened.
According to Nariman Behravesh, the economic GDP by COVID is three times
worse than the 2008 global financial crisis (World Economic Forum 2020).
Rising interest rates to offset losses during lockdown time and this
exacerbated debt (United Nations 2023), also led to a lot of people becoming
unemployed or cutting employees salary to optimize operation costs (BBC
2021). In addition, we have just emerged from the difficulties of 2 years
COVID, global economic condition continues to be significantly affected by
the meaningless war between Russia and Ukraine. Due to Russia is the
world’s leading gas exporter, when they were sanctioned, they stopped
supply gas products in retaliation that caused crude oil prices increase over
20% (CNN 2022).
These challenges are closely relevant to my purpose in choosing my main
major. I believe that working in a peaceful world where people can freely
develop themselves, receive many opportunities on your career ladder,
comfortably express emotions and love. Based on the strengths along with
the professional knowledge I have that I could design a logistics ecosystem
to stability maintain the flow of economy and goods. Besides that, I
encourage expanding global exchange activities that aim to promote trade,
proactively seek breakthrough development opportunities. Furthermore, with
my leadership style, I could efficiently improve workforce management,
clearly understand characteristics of each person or organization to improve
work performance and ultimately support sustainable economic growth.
