Hero Build Guide

Below you will find a guide for ideal/optimal builds for

heroes, based on PVP mode in the game (Union War, Dominator
and Transcendence, Dimensional Battle, All Arenas), as well as
PVE modes like X-War,Galaxy/Faction wanted, Expedition, Space
Discovery, Valiant Trials and Lost Land.
These aren’t a hard fast must. You do what you can with what
you have. Triple double is also always an option. (3x 2-sets).
Also important to note that Annihilation at Present is only
useful on Pierre, Epeius, Knox, Collapse and Orochi.
Gem talents may very depending on the opponent you’re facing.
Never follow a guide blindly. Read your situation and adapt.

Special note: Speed matters for all heroes. It determines turn

order. Speed matters more for some than others, based on
individual hero skills. If you’re facing CC, third talent 3 is
advised. Higher prioritised Gems have been highlighted for
each hero.

Team Build Advice for beginners.

Every good team consists of a few things.

1-2 tanks (the ones taking the bulk of the damage.
Such as thinker, Paladin, Rockefeller)
1-2 DPS (your damage dealers. Toko, Indira, Laura etc)
2-4 Supports and buffers/Debuffers (like Cui pan who
removes CC, Silas who disables the highest attack
enemy and Cupid who buffs the heroes in spots 1,2)

When team building, it’s important to remember special

boosts you can gain from different compositions. See
attached diagrams. Also, Serena (Miss USA) increases
ally SUPERMAN FACTION Armor and Attack.

*Faction bonus in star tech adds onto the faction

bonus chart. Generally not worth upgrading.

Most DPS heroes you encounter earlier game target the

front row, so it’s best to put your tanks in the
front. Some tanks need to be in position 1. Read easy
hero’s skills. For heroes such as Cui pan, who rely on
getting to half life for their special ability, try
put them in positions 3 or 4. The DPS, bar those who
have counter abilities (like GS) go in the back.

Heroes such as Runner and Ronin are less effective in

PVP than PVE because their buffs rely on living for
extended periods. While good for longer battles (PVE),
PVP battles are more often than not, over very fast.
The positions you’re using for time dependent heroes
could better be used on heroes that have perma-buffs
etc. (like Kong, whose speed ability is from the
start.)

Special note: PVE modes such as void, hub, wish boss,

QI have reflectant damage. Meaning the faster you do
big damage, the faster you die. Because the damage
they deal you directly scales from the damage you do
them. Keep that in mind when building your teams.

A-hero skills for PVE

Please note that use of A heroes is not recommended in

PVP, as they are too hard to build for survivabilty,
and every buff they can provide (bar Cupid) can be
obtained through a much stronger S or S+ hero.

Cupid – Heals all allies, decreases enemy healing

and increases attack and healing effect by 40% for the
heroes in spot 1+2. (If Cupid is in one of those,
defers to next spot. That buff goes when one dies.

Valkyrie – Has a 60% chance to stun enemies for 1

round with her basic attack.

Order – Decreases enemy healing by 20% for 2

rounds.

Cheetah Girl - Stuns random enemy front row is

for 2 turns, increases ally Armour, drains enemy
energy.

Lady Icy – Reduces enemy speed, and freezes them.

Zorro – Reduces enemy heal by 80%.

Bullfight – Can stun enemy for 2 rounds.

Acronym List & Definitions

DPS: Damage per second. Your large damage dealers.

CC: Crowd control. Heroes with abilities that prevent enemies

from doing things.

Tank: The main damage receiver. There to shield your DPS.

Support: Heals or otherwise affects team in a way that isn’t a

constant buff.

Debuffer: Removes buffs or lowers stats of enemy.

Buffer: Increases ally stats in some way.

PVP: Game modes that involve fighting other players.

PVE: Game modes that don’t involve fighting other players.

F.A.Q

Why are some heroes recommended for 31 exclusive and not 30?
The reason some heroes are recommended for an exclusive of 31
and not 30 is because when you get them to 32, the third stat
in their exclusive. For example, Alcazar at +30 has additional
Broken Armor of 15%. At +31 her additional broken Armor (the
third exclusive stat) increases to 20%.

What does the highlighting mean?

The highlighting indicates priority gems of the recommended
ones.

Why do some heroes have no recommended dark gems? What do I

use?
Some heroes don’t have recommended dark gems because there is
no stat the dark gems provide that they greatly benefit from.
Usually in this case, go for speed.
