sealing ring), featuring non-smooth external annular corrugated and smooth internal surfaces
(double wall), for non-pressure underground sewerage and drainage applications as per
EN:13476-3. The work includes all local and central taxes, transportation, freight charges, octroi,
inspection charges, loading, unloading, etc., complete. Pipes shall be of 100 mm internal diameter
and any required length, including lowering, laying, and jointing of Class SN8 structured wall
polyethylene piping and fittings using couplers (online/offline) attached at one end. These are to
be slid over elastomeric sealing rubber rings placed in the specified valley of the corrugation at
the spigot end. The pipes are to be lowered into the trench at all levels and laid on bedding
constructed at the trench bottom, aligned and graded as specified. Work includes testing for water
tightness and continuity of pipe segments, and all activities shall be executed as per drawings,
specifications, and detailed engineering, including transportation from site stacks to the place of
laying as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Additional tasks include demolition of lime concrete,
excavation of foundations up to 1.5 m depth with shoring, sorting and stacking of useful material,
and disposal of excavated material up to 50 meters lead in loose or soft soil. Filling of available
excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinths, and sides of foundations shall be done in
layers not exceeding 20 cm in depth, each compacted by ramming and watering. Also included
is the provision and laying of underground pipes up to 150 mm dia of 10 kg/cm² rating beneath
roads using the pipe pushing method, avoiding open trench excavation to prevent disruption to
traffic. This includes the cost of the pipe pushing mechanism and complete execution as directed
by the Engineer-in-Charge. The work also includes core cutting up to 150 mm diameter in existing
RCC chambers using a cutter machine, filling up to the first coat of plastering, finishing with all
materials, labor, lead, scaffolding, and waste disposal as per instructions of the architect or
Engineer-in-Charge. Finally, the scope includes providing and laying 1:2:4 cement concrete (1

house connection to existing RCC chambers, including all materials, labor, machinery, and
complete execution as per specifications, with comprehensive work payment for one connection
of any required length.
Demolition&Dismantling
Demolition and disposal of unserviceable materials with all leads and lifts: Lime Concrete.

1.0.Workmanship
1.1. The demolition shall consist of demolition of one or more parts of the building as specified
or shown in the drawings. Demolition implies taking up or down or breaking up. This shall consist
of demolishing whole or part of work including all relevant items as specified or shown in the
drawings.
1.2. The demolition shall always be planned beforehand and shall be done in reverse order to
the one in which the structure was constructed. This scheme shall be approved by the Engineer-
in-Charge before starting the work. This, however, will not absolve the contractor from the
responsibility of proper and safe demolition.
1.3. Necessary propping, shoring, and underpinning shall be provided for the safety of the
adjoining work or property, which is to be left intact, before dismantling and demolishing is taken
up, and the work shall be carried out in such a way that no damage is caused to the adjoining
property.
1.4. Wherever required, temporary enclosures or partitions shall also be provided. Necessary
precautions shall be taken to minimize dust nuisance as and where necessary.
1.5. Dismantling shall be commenced in a systematic manner. All materials which are likely to
be damaged by dropping from a height or by demolishing roof, masonry, etc., shall be carefully
dismantled first. The dismantled articles shall be properly stacked as directed.
1.6. All materials obtained from demolition shall be the property of the Government unless
otherwise specified and shall be kept in safe custody until handed over to the Engineer-in-Charge.
1.7. Any serviceable materials obtained during dismantling or demolition shall be separated out
and stacked properly as directed with all lead and lift. All unserviceable materials, rubbish, etc.,
shall be stacked as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
1.8. On completion of work, the site shall be cleared of all debris, rubbish and cleaned as directed.

Excavation
Excavation for foundation up to 1.5 m depth including sorting out and stacking of useful materials
and disposing of the excavated stuff up to 50 meter lead in loose or soft soil.

1.0.General
1.1. Any soil which generally yields to the application of pickaxes, shovels, phawaras, rakes or
any such ordinary excavating implement, or organic soil, gravel, silt, sand, turf, loam, clay, peat,
etc., fall under this category.

2.0.ClearingtheSite
2.1. The site on which the structure is to be built shall be cleared, and all obstructions, loose
stones, materials and rubbish of all kinds, bushwood and trees shall be removed as directed.
The materials so obtained shall be property of the Government and shall be conveyed and
stacked as directed within 50 m lead. The roots of the trees coming in the sides shall be cut
and coated with hot asphalt.
2.2. The rate of site clearance is deemed to be included in the rate of earth work, for which no
extra will be paid.

3.0.SettingOut
After clearing the site, the center lines will be given by the Engineer-in-Charge. The contractor
shall assume full responsibility for alignment, elevation, and dimension of each and all parts of
the work. Contractor shall supply labor, materials, etc. required for setting out the reference marks
and benchmarks and shall maintain them as long as required and directed.

4.0.Excavation
The excavation in foundation shall be carried out in true line and level and shall have the width
and depth as shown in the drawings or as directed. The contractor shall do the necessary shoring
and shuttering or provide necessary slopes to a safe angle at his own cost. The payment for
such precautionary measures shall be paid separately if not specified. The bottom of the excavated
area shall be leveled both longitudinally and transversely as directed, by ramming and watering
as required. No earth filling will be allowed for bringing it to level. If by mistake any excavation
is made deeper or wider than that shown on the plan or directed, the extra depth or width shall
be made up with concrete of the same proportion as specified for the foundation concrete at the
cost of the contractor. Excavation up to 1.5 m depth shall be measured under this item.

5.0. Disposal of the Excavated Stuff

5.1. The excavated stuff of the selected type shall be used in filling the trenches and plinth or
leveling the ground in layers, including ramming and watering, etc.
5.2. The balance of the excavated quantity shall be removed by the contractor from the site of
work to a place as directed with lead up to 50 m and all lift.
Pushing
