The given maps illustrate how the center of a
town named Islip currently looks like, and
how It will change after its planned
development.
Overall, It is evident that the place will
witness relatively comprehensive
modernization with the modification of some
old areas and the construction of some new
places. Additionally, the road will be
reasonably adjusted to suit the development.
Initially, the Islip town center has a school
located in the southwest of the map. From
the middle to the bottom of the centre is the
space for houses. The countryside is in the
north with shops right below, which are also
constructed on the opposite side of the main
road. This road connects to the park when
inhabitants go to the east and turn to the
south when there is a bend.
In stead of having a road that connects the
West to the East, in the future, there is going
to be a dual carriageway that bends from the
North to the South, leading to more
connectivity to internal services in the
downtown area. There will be 2 new housing
spaces: one will be placed beside the park,
and the other will be on the opposite side
across the shop chains, which will be moved
into the middle line of the center. The North
part inside the curved way slice will be only
for pedestrians. It is also going to contain
services, such as a bus station, a shopping
center, and a car park.
