The maps give information about Islip town in present and its future

development.

Overall, Islip town is planned to witness a lot of changes. Major differences


which can be seen are the pedestrianisation of town center and the
appearance of the dual carriage way which covers around the town.

Looking at the map of Islip at the present, there is a main road runs from
West to East. Shops are situated on two sides of the road. Compared to its
future prediction, this road will be rebuilt to be used by the pedestrians only
and the traffics will travel on the dual carriage way which forms a ring
around the town center.

In the north of Islip town now is countryside which will be demolished in


the future. Residential areas on the south of the new pedestrians street will
be moved to the West and a new housing area will be constructed on the
East, thank to the shrink of the park. Shops above the main road will be
replaced by bus station, shopping center, car park and new housing area.
School and housing area outside the ring seems to be remained theirs places.
